451: Chapter 451 Please, Clan Chief, do not worry too much!

An elder raised his head slightly and argued, "Patriarch, that caravan may seem ordinary, but its true combat power cannot be underestimated; it's not at all inferior to a well-trained elite force!"

"The Great Elder deployed so many of the tribe's elite forces yet still found it difficult to conquer; this is only reasonable!"

Several other elders nodded in agreement, saying, "Presumably, those caravan guards must be elites carefully selected and rigorously trained by Great Qin. They are equipped with the finest weapons, possess rich combat experience, and are well-trained, which is why the Great Elder encountered such immense difficulties during the attack. This cannot be entirely blamed on the Great Elder!"

"We have now completely enraged Great Qin. If they send a large army to attack us, how should we respond?"

Patriarch Sajiong voiced the heavy worry that had been weighing on his heart. His gaze swept across everyone's faces, his eyes filled with anticipation, hoping to find some practical solutions from them to resolve this imminent crisis.

"Please do not worry too much, Patriarch!"

An elder snorted disdainfully, his face filled with indifference as he said nonchalantly, "This vast Gobi Desert is boundless. How could it be easy for Great Qin to find us?"

"Even if they are lucky enough to find us, what can they do?"

The elder raised his chin, his eyes showing a hint of arrogance and contempt. "We are a nation on horseback; we come and go like the wind and move freely. If we can't beat them, can't we just run? What can they possibly do to us?"

"Exactly!"

The other elders all nodded in agreement, confident smiles appearing on their faces.

Their greatest advantage was that they did not settle down but were nomadic, making their homes everywhere. Great Qin's army could not find them and therefore could not pose any substantial threat to them.

In their eyes, Great Qin was merely a strange and distant existence from afar. Though it seemed powerful, as long as they skillfully utilized their mobility, they had no need to worry about suffering a catastrophic disaster.

However, they could never have imagined that Great Qin's mortars had already silently locked onto the Golden Grand Tent where they were located.

The first round of bombardment had already begun.

Shells whistled like meteors as they fell around the Golden Grand Tent, instantly triggering violent explosions.

The impact force generated by the explosions was as violent as a magnitude-eight earthquake, causing the ground to begin trembling frantically.

The once incredibly solid earth now resembled a surging sea, rising and falling, making it impossible for people to stand steady.

In this intense vibration, the Golden Grand Tent was like a fallen leaf in a gale, teetering on the brink of collapse. Everyone inside was tossed about, and chaos ensued.

Gunsmoke curled upward, filling the air, and the pungent smell made it hard to breathe.

Enveloped in smoke, massive craters appeared abruptly on the ground like the gaping maws of ferocious beasts, looking incredibly hideous and terrifying.

Although the first round of bombardment had been carefully aimed, the distance was too great, and it ultimately lacked a bit of precision.

After the first round of bombardment, the gunners quickly adjusted their ballistic trajectories based on the impact points.

Soon, the second round of bombardment followed.

"Bang! Bang! Bang!"

The thunderous roar of shells leaving their barrels resounded through the skies once more.

Hei Di and Shi Le had suffered in the first round of bombardment; having learned their lesson, they both covered their ears tightly and watched the shells being fired.

Sajiong was terrified and panicked by the first round of bombardment. With his mind blank, he instinctively rushed out of the Golden Grand Tent, wanting to find out exactly what had happened.

At the very moment he stepped out of the Golden Grand Tent and instinctively looked up, a shell, carrying the sound of whistling wind, came crashing straight down toward his face.

"What is this thing?"

Sajiong's eyes widened. He wanted to hide, but the shell was coming too fast; he had no time to dodge and could only instinctively squeeze his eyes shut.
