510: Chapter 510 The finest jade artifact, the national treasure of the Qin Dynasty!

Zhang Qian didn't know the local language at first, but after spending a long time with the locals in this foreign land, he progressed from struggling with gestures to gradually accumulating words, then trying simple sentences, until he could now converse fluently in daily life.

"Please, take a look."

Zhang Qian smiled slightly, a hint of mystery in his expression, as if he were about to reveal a massive surprise to A-yi-mu.

He lightly clapped his hands, the crisp sound echoing through the quiet reception room.

Instantly, from behind a screen, a graceful maid stepped out with light footsteps, slowly carrying a tray covered with a red cloth.

A-yi-mu's gaze was immediately locked onto the tray in the maid's hands like it was pulled by a magnet, his eyes revealing intense curiosity and expectation.

Zhang Qian said, "Master A-yi-mu, the fine treasure is right under this red cloth."

"Hurry up and uncover it!"

A-yi-mu said with some urgency.

He hated riddlers the most.

Seeing A-yi-mu's eager state, the corners of Zhang Qian's mouth curled slightly.

He wanted to pique the other man's interest; the more interested he was, the easier it would be to sell the glass at a high price.

Zhang Qian tilted his chin, signaling the maid to uncover the red cloth on the tray.

The maid nodded slightly and pulled back the red cloth.

A crystal-clear Glass Horse appeared before A-yi-mu's eyes.

The horse was in a vigorous stance and completely transparent, refracting seven-colored light under the lamps.

Living in a small frontier town, A-yi-mu had never seen such a work of art before.

He stood up all at once.

His gaze was fixed intently on the crystal-clear Glass Horse; with a solemn expression, he slowly walked toward it.

His expression was just like the yearning of a delivery boy seeing a security guard's uniform.

Seeing A-yi-mu's expression, Zhang Qian's heart immediately settled with confidence.

Good, good, very good!

The more interested A-yi-mu was in this Liuli Horse, the more Zhang Qian could scheme against him and earn a fortune from him.

He said enticingly, "Please look, Master A-yi-mu. This is a Liuli Horse crafted by Great Qin's top artisans over three years of painstaking effort; it is the only one of its kind in the world."

A-yi-mu's eyes went wide. His hands trembled as he carefully took the Glass Horse, examining it closely against the light.

"Gods! This... this is simply a divine object!"

His voice trembled with excitement.

"So pure, so lustrous... it's even more precious than the finest Suet White Jade!"

"This is the best of all jade, a national treasure even in Great Qin."

When away from home, one's status is self-proclaimed, and this Glass Horse was no different.

"To be honest, Master, our caravan only managed to obtain three such treasures."

Zhang Qian spoke unhurriedly, reaching out toward the Glass Horse in A-yi-mu's hands, intending to take it back.

A-yi-mu's hands seemed to have grown roots; he wasn't willing to let go of the Glass Horse for even a second.

His gaze remained glued to the Glass Horse, his Adam's apple bobbing as he spoke: "Name your price, I want this treasure!"

"Such a treasure is far too rare."

Zhang Qian pried at A-yi-mu's fingers with force. After exerting a tremendous amount of effort, he finally managed to pry them open one by one.

He continued, "As the saying goes, treasures go to those destined to have them."

Zhang Qian laughed inwardly; a 'destined person' was really just a 'person with the funds'!"

"What do you mean?"

Seeing that Zhang Qian's words had a hidden meaning, A-yi-mu couldn't help but frown.

He truly liked this Liuli Horse very much.
