580: Chapter 580 Meeting the Prisoners

Ravi Tomar, Bharata Singh, and Shankara Sharma had been captured by the Chu Army as easily as if they were chicks being picked up. They were in a disheveled state, each bearing significant injuries.

Fortunately, they had managed to survive that intense battle; unfortunately, they had been reduced to prisoners, being escorted forward by the Chu Army.

"Where are you taking us?"

Ravi Tomar's voice trembled slightly, his once resolute face now filled with fear and unease.

He turned his head to look at Bharata Singh and Shankara Sharma, only to see that both of them were also as pale as paper, their lips trembling slightly, their eyes full of confusion and nervousness.

Their bodies trembled uncontrollably, exposing their extreme inner tension.

Watching the opposing soldiers lead them into a camp, the hearts of the three felt as if they were being tightly gripped by an invisible giant hand.

They knew well that their current situation was extremely dangerous, and they did not know what awaited them.

The soldiers leading the way were expressionless, and they could not understand their language.

These soldiers only knew how to carry out orders, bringing the three of them safely to the designated place.

Finally, in a state of trepidation, they entered Fan Zeng's room.

As soon as they entered, their gazes were drawn to an old man whose appearance was vastly different from their own.

The old man was sitting leisurely on an object they had never seen before, his back leaning comfortably against it.

From the old man's rather satisfied expression, they could feel that sitting on this object must be extremely comfortable.

"Sit!"

Fan Zeng said in a calm, steady voice.

However, Ravi Tomar and Bharata Singh were completely bewildered, unable to understand what the other party was saying at all; they just looked at Fan Zeng nervously, their eyes filled with confusion.

Shankara Sharma, having been a staff officer for the governor of Derosia City, possessed higher intelligence. After pondering slightly, he roughly guessed that the other party wanted them to sit.

However, how could he dare to sit?

Fan Zeng glanced at the soldiers standing beside them, and those soldiers immediately understood, forcefully pressing Ravi Tomar, Bharata Singh, and Shankara Sharma onto the chairs.

The three of them mimicked Fan Zeng, sitting on the chairs and leaning their backs against the backrests.

The moment their backs touched the backrest chairs, an unprecedented sense of comfort washed over them.

They had never sat on an ergonomically designed chair before; this comfort made them unable to help but groan, "This is so comfortable!"

At this moment, the tension in their hearts eased slightly, replaced by curiosity about this strange environment and the novel object.

The curious gazes of Ravi Tomar, Bharata Singh, and Shankara Sharma immediately fell upon the fountain pen in Fan Zeng's hand and the white paper spread on the table.

These were more things they had never seen before, and their eyes widened, full of astonishment.

Although Fan Zeng could not understand what they were saying, seeing the rich changes in their expressions, he could naturally guess their feelings roughly.

He took out paper and pen, preparing to record what the three of them said using phonetic transcription.

After all, his purpose in calling these three over was precisely to learn these people's language through communicating with them.

The more vocabulary he accumulated, the easier it would be to communicate, which would allow him to better control the situation and prepare for the Chu Army's next move.
