557: Chapter 557 Disdain for Xiang Yu

Seeing that his archers were unable to hit Xiang Yu despite their repeated attempts, the fury in Rajesh Singh Delrosia's heart burned like a raging fire.

His brow furrowed, and a ruthless glint flashed in his eyes. Without a word, he personally grabbed a thick Pole Bow.

He raised his hands high and stepped into a steady lunge, his muscles tensing as he used the immense strength of his back to slowly pull the bow apart; the taut string looked as if it might snap at any moment.

He slowly closed one eye and fixed the other on Xiang Yu with the sharp gaze of a hawk, the tip of his arrow tracking Xiang Yu's movements.

Despite Xiang Yu’s burly stature and massive frame, his movement speed was startlingly fast, and he constantly changed direction in erratic patterns, forcing Rajesh Singh Delrosia to rack his brains to predict Xiang Yu's predictions.

Finally, Rajesh Singh Delrosia released the string that had been pulled to its limit. With a dull, heavy thrum, the man-sized arrow shot out like a bolt of black lightning.

The arrow's trajectory through the air was peculiar; instead of a simple straight line, it sped forward in a swaying arc.

The miraculous part was that at the very moment it was about to hit its mark, it would sway back just right, hurtling accurately toward the target.

Because of this, while the legendary Gun-shaking Technique that allowed bullets to curve was unrealistic, making arrows curve had become a tangible reality in the hands of Rajesh Singh Delrosia.

At this moment, Xiang Yu was doing his best to weave through the rain of arrows.

Suddenly, he felt a chill run through him as a powerful shadow of death, like an invisible net, instantly enveloped his entire body.

Amidst the dense rain of arrows, one particular shaft was hurtling straight for his face.

The sharp arrowhead glinted with a cold light, as if it would pierce his skull in the next second.

Xiang Yu cursed inwardly. In that split second between life and death, he didn't have time to think. Relying on instinct, he jerked his head to the side. The arrow grazed his cheek with a piercing whistle of wind, nearly slicing his skin.

Rajesh Singh Delrosia did not stop there. A ruthless determination to never give up until his goal was met flickered in his eyes as he swiftly drew his bow again.

This time, to increase the chance of hitting Xiang Yu, he aimed for his powerful torso.

After all, Xiang Yu’s body was much larger than that of an ordinary person, so the probability of being hit was naturally higher.

Seeing the arrow coming with such ferocious momentum, Xiang Yu realized its speed was too great for him to dodge normally again.

In the nick of time, he steeled his resolve and kicked off the ground, rolling away like a cannonball.

The instant he left the spot, a loud boom rang out. The massive arrow slammed into where Xiang Yu had been standing, instantly smashing a large crater into the ground and sending up a thick cloud of dust and flying debris.

Seeing this, Rajesh Singh Delrosia did not pause for a moment and continued to fire arrows frantically.

The arrows fell toward Xiang Yu like raindrops, putting him under immense pressure.

Xiang Yu could only keep rolling on the ground, his movements disheveled yet as agile as a nimble beast.

Occasionally, he would seize an opportunity to use cover on the battlefield, such as broken chariots or collapsed earthen walls, to evade the arrows fired by Rajesh Singh Delrosia.

Even so, every arrow that whistled past was a close brush with death, making for a harrowing experience.

"Truly a rat scurrying everywhere!"

Rajesh Singh Delrosia cursed angrily as he fired.

His words contained both deep irritation at his inability to hit Xiang Yu and disdain for the way Xiang Yu was dodging so pathetically.
