558: Chapter 558 Xiang Yu Uses Lightness Skill

"Hah!"

Xiang Yu let out a low growl, his voice booming like a great bell. His speed surged once more, leaving the arrows flying toward him far behind.

By now, he was less than five meters from the city wall.

Long Que, Xiang Bo, Yu Ziqi, and the others were forced to scramble for cover under the dense, rain-like barrage of arrows from the wall.

Catching a glimpse of this from the corner of his eye, Xiang Yu knew he had to storm the wall and cut down those archers to relieve the pressure on his brothers.

He suddenly widened his double-pupiled eyes, which burned with a fierce battle intent like two raging fires.

Then, putting every ounce of strength into his effort, he charged toward the wall with the full force of a ferocious beast.

"What is he trying to do?!"

Rajesh Singh Delrosia and Shankara Sharma felt their hearts tighten, their faces filled with astonishment and confusion.

After exchanging a glance, they couldn't help but speak to each other.

"He couldn't be trying to charge up here, could he?"

Shankara Sharma was the first to speak, his tone thick with disbelief.

"That's impossible!"

Rajesh Singh Delrosia quickly replied, "This wall is ten meters high! How could he possibly charge up here?"

Having guarded this city for many years, Rajesh Singh Delrosia had never encountered anyone who could storm the wall without using a ladder.

He had never even heard of anyone capable of charging directly up a wall without the aid of a ladder.

He definitely won't make it!

Various thoughts flashed through his mind, causing him to momentarily forget to fire his arrows. Instead, he stared fixedly at Xiang Yu, wanting to see exactly what he would do.

Xiang Yu gritted his teeth, his face contorted with the sheer effort, his eyes locked onto the wall.

The wall was not perfectly vertical; it had a slight slope, about eighty degrees.

To Xiang Yu, this tiny incline was the key opportunity he needed to storm the wall.

The muscles in Xiang Yu's legs bulged explosively as if inflated, each fiber brimming with infinite power.

He stomped hard against the ground, his force carving deep pits into the solid earth one after another.

Using the powerful counterforce from the ground, his body leaped high like an arrow released from a bowstring.

In mid-air, he precisely tapped the wall with his toes—a movement as light yet powerful as a Dragonfly Skimming the Water—and his body rose upward once again.

Xiang Yu had practiced Qinggong, a movement technique he had accidentally learned from a reclusive master during his early years of traveling.

This Qinggong technique emphasized that the toes and ankles must be stronger than those of an ordinary person. This allowed one to convert forward momentum into upward thrust the moment the toes touched the wall.

Now, relying on this Qinggong and his initial momentum, he continuously stepped up the wall, closing in on the top step by step.

"What?!"

Rajesh Singh Delrosia and Shankara Sharma couldn't help but cry out in shock at the sight.

"He can actually charge up the wall?"

They had never seen anyone who could run on a wall.

"No, we can't let him get up here!"

Rajesh Singh Delrosia and Shankara Sharma finally snapped out of their shock and hurriedly ordered the archers to block him with everything they had.

Now, Xiang Yu was no longer able to change direction at will as he had on the ground. If he hadn't turned his body in time, the incoming arrows would have struck him.
