26: Chapter 26 One Kick Decides the Fate
They didn't even have a chance to react before they were instantly pinned to the ground by the blood mist. Their faces pressed against the scorching yellow sand, their bones creaked, and they were completely unable to move!
Only at this moment did the four of them, including Chen Fei, truly realize that the gap in strength between them and Zhou Che was like a chasm that could never be crossed.
Originally, they had still harbored a glimmer of hope, thinking that since they had four Transcendents on their side, even if they couldn't defeat Zhou Che, they could at least stall for time, or if all else failed, give it a desperate shot.
But now they understood how ridiculous their thoughts had been. Zhou Che's strength had long since surpassed their comprehension.
With just a casual move, he could pin them down completely, leaving them without even the qualification to struggle.
The four of them lay on the ground, desperately trying to get up and struggle, but no matter how hard they tried, they remained completely motionless.
The pressure of the blood mist was like a mountain, firmly locking their limbs and bodies.
It sealed the Sequence power within their bodies, and they couldn't even lift a single finger or toe, leaving them to be slaughtered at will.
This was Zhou Che's strength!
His Lord of the Blood Moon Sequence was originally a top-tier, complete Sequence with infinite potential. On top of that, he had fused multiple Sequences like Mechanic, Guide, Physician, and others.
His own strength kept breaking through and climbing steadily, passively elevating the pressure of the Lord of the Blood Moon several times over.
Dealing with such ordinary Transcendents took no effort at all; he could suppress them with a mere wave of his hand!
Zhou Che walked slowly to Chen Fei, looked down at the four people pinned to the ground with faces full of terror and despair, curled the corners of his mouth into a cold sneer, and his eyes were filled with disdain.
He bent down and casually picked up the strange object scepter that had fallen to the side. It felt cold to the touch, and blood-red light flowed along the staff, indicating it had considerable power.
Zhou Che didn't even give it a second look before casually stuffing it into his own pocket. Since such an strange object had landed before him, it was naturally his spoils of war; it was not fit for trash to own.
Immediately after, without the slightest mercy, Zhou Che raised his right foot, gathered some strength, and kicked Chen Fei hard in the face!
"Bang!"
With a muffled thud, Chen Fei was kicked away like a broken sack, rolling several meters across the sand before stopping.
Blood sprayed wildly from the corner of his mouth, half his face instantly swelled up like a pig's head, several teeth were kicked out, and he passed out on the spot.
The remaining three Transcendents, both pained and furious, were pinned to the ground unable to move. They could only howl crazily and curse loudly, screaming hysterically at Zhou Che:
"Zhou Che! You coward! You have no honor!"
"If you have the guts, let us go! Let's have a fair fight!"
"What kind of hero relies on their strength to launch a sneak attack! If you're a man, fight us head-on!"
Hearing these clamors, Zhou Che was amused to the point of laughter. He looked down at the trash on the ground, his tone cold and disdainful:
"A fair fight? Do you trash, who can't even break free from my blood mist, deserve to talk to me about fairness? What wishful thinking!"
"In this post-apocalyptic world, strength is the only truth. If you can't win, you die. Why so much nonsense! You dared to touch my people and target The Convoy, so you must be prepared to die!"
As it happened, Zhou Che also wanted to take this opportunity to test just how far his strength had reached after fusing multiple Sequences, and where his limits lay!
This bunch of trash was perfect for practicing and testing his skills!
With a thought from Zhou Che, the blood mist shrouding the other three Transcendents slowly dissipated, completely granting them freedom of movement.
As soon as the three regained their mobility, they surged towards Zhou Che with red eyes and clenched fists, determined to fight to the death, hoping to overwhelm him with numbers and launch a desperate counterattack.
Zhou Che's eyes were cold, and a dense crimson light surged around him once more, wrapping tightly around his fists.
Power flooded into his legs, his figure flashed, and he instantly rushed in front of the Transcendent who was in the lead.
Without any unnecessary flair, he threw a sharp, straight punch, smashing it hard towards the opponent's face with extreme speed!
That person actually had some foundation in close-quarters combat. Knowing he couldn't withstand it head-on, he hurriedly lowered his body to dodge, barely evading the fatal blow.
Zhou Che raised an eyebrow and shouted with a hint of mockery: "Oh, not bad, you can dodge? Interesting!"
Before his voice had even faded, Zhou Che lunged forward again. His right hand set up for a hook, whistling through the air as it smashed towards the opponent's side of the face. It looked powerful, but it was actually a feint.
The man subconsciously thought it was a real punch and hurriedly turned to dodge, but he never expected that this was just a feint by Zhou Che!
Just as he turned to dodge, Zhou Che raised his right foot, used all his strength, and delivered a size 42 kick squarely into the opponent's face!
"Crack!"
A crisp and piercing sound of bone fracturing instantly rang through the entire camp, clearly audible.
The man didn't even manage to scream; his entire face instantly caved in, his nose bridge, cheekbones, and jawbone all shattered.
Looking from the side, half of his head was simply gone, and a deep, clear shoe print was firmly embedded in his forehead.
Blood and brains splattered all over the yellow sand. He died on the spot, falling straight to the ground without a breath left.
Zhou Che withdrew his foot and looked at the corpse on the ground, unable to help but exclaim:
"Holy crap! Turns out I'm this strong now! I one-shotted him with a single kick?"
He felt secretly annoyed with himself, thinking he had been too conservative and too low-key before.
If he had known his strength was this formidable, he would have subdued and intimidated all these restless pieces of trash before leaving, which would have prevented all this trouble and kept Captain Liu Ruyan and the others from being put in danger and living in fear.
The remaining two Transcendents saw with their own eyes their convoy's strongest fighter being one-shotted by Zhou Che with a single kick, without even a chance to resist, and were instantly scared out of their wits.
Their faces turned as pale as paper, devoid of any color. Their legs shook uncontrollably like a sieve, their teeth chattered incessantly, making a clearly audible "clatter-clatter" sound, and their whole bodies went weak.
They no longer had any thoughts of resistance or the courage to counterattack, and with a "thud," they knelt on the ground.
They kowtowed frantically to Zhou Che, begging for mercy, smashing their heads hard against the yellow sand until they were bruised and bleeding, their voices trembling uncontrollably:
"Spare us! Mr. Zhou, please spare us!"
"This was all Chen Fei's idea! He forced us! We didn't dare disobey!"
"He was the one who wanted the secret to your convoy's levitation, he wanted your supplies and gasoline; it has nothing to do with us! Please spare our lives, we won't ever dare do it again!"
Zhou Che's eyes were cold as he looked down at them, knowing full well what was going on.
In the post-apocalyptic world, people would say any lie or any soft word just to survive.
They were all Transcendents who had awakened powers and had their own independent consciousness; how could they have been forced against their will?
It was nothing more than being blinded by greed, wanting to take a risk and gamble.
They were just gambling that they could win and snatch the supplies. Now that they had lost, they started acting pitiful and begging for mercy; it was absolutely ridiculous!
In this post-apocalyptic world, begging for mercy was always the most useless thing. Only those with value who could be of use could survive.
As for these two pieces of trash, other than kneeling and begging for mercy and shivering, they couldn't cough up a shred of useful information or any value.
Keeping them alive was just a waste of food and purely a burden; there was no need for them to live at all!
