91: Chapter 91 Team Slogan

"A team needs its own slogan to have cohesion."

"I already discussed this with Mr. Zhou yesterday; our slogan is just two words—Dawn."

After speaking, she pressed one hand to her chest, straightened her back, and with a determined gaze, shouted devoutly and powerfully:

"Dawn!"

The voice was not loud, yet it carried a power that pierced through people's hearts.

The group looked at one another, all feeling a bit embarrassed.

For grown men, shouting such a slogan was quite awkward.

They were all fidgety, and no one spoke up.

"What are you all standing there for! Shout with me!"

Luo Xi frowned and said sternly,

"Did you not eat? Bring out the strength of your Transcendent status! If you can't even shout a slogan loudly, how can you fight anomalies? You might as well just surrender when you encounter one!"

"Wang Laowu! You shout first!"

Wang Laowu, being called out, turned bright red instantly. Biting the bullet, he pressed one hand to his chest and hummed like a mosquito:

"Dawn."

"I can't hear you! Louder!"

Luo Xi glared at him, the wooden stick in her hand striking the ground with a rhythmic "thump-thump" sound.

"Dawn!"

Wang Laowu yelled at the top of his lungs, his face turning purple from the strain.

"That's better. Everyone, hand to your chests! Shout with me!"

"Dawn!"

"Dawn!"

A scattered, uneven, and weak sound rang out.

"Again! Louder!"

"Dawn!"

"Again!"

Time and time again.

From the initial awkwardness and embarrassment to becoming increasingly synchronized and louder later on.

The embarrassment gradually faded from everyone's faces, replaced by an earnest expression.

An invisible sense of cohesion slowly began to grow within the team.

Before, they were just a group of stragglers gathered together to survive.

Now, they had a common name—Dawn.

By the fifth time they shouted it.

Eight people, simultaneously pressing one hand to their chests and straightening their backs, roared in unison.

"Dawn!"

The sound shook the heavens and earth, spreading throughout the entire camp.

Even the ordinary survivors working in the distance stopped what they were doing and looked over.

Their eyes were filled with awe.

Luo Xi looked at the team before her and nodded with satisfaction.

Her gaze drifted involuntarily toward Zhou Che in the ranks.

She happened to meet Zhou Che's eyes, which held a smile and approval.

Luo Xi's cheeks flushed slightly, and she quickly averted her gaze.

Clearing her throat, she said loudly:

"Good! From today on, this is our slogan! No matter when, as long as you hear someone shout 'Dawn,' they are one of our own!"

"Next, we begin team coordination training!"

She thrust the wooden stick in her hand into the ground, emitting a muffled "thump."

"Now, I am setting two iron rules for our combat team."

Her gaze swept across everyone present, sharp as a knife.

"The first rule: The Convoy's interests are paramount. At all times, personal interests must yield to the interests of The Convoy."

"The second rule: Trust your teammates. Give your back to the person beside you; no suspicion, no desertion in the face of battle."

"These two rules must be carved into your bones. Whoever violates them will face execution. Do you understand?"

"Understood!"

The group roared in unison, their voices carrying an unprecedented firmness.

After the baptism of the slogan just now, a sense of collective honor had ignited in everyone's hearts.

They were no longer stragglers fighting on their own, but true comrades-in-arms.

"Good." Luo Xi nodded, "Today's training content is team coordination."

"This afternoon, we are going to Linshui County to scavenge for supplies, and we will still be in groups of three. One person on main attack, one on ranged, and one on flank interference."

"When encountering anomalies, you are not allowed to fight them alone. The main attacker will provide frontal suppression, the ranged attacker will look for opportunities to deal damage, and the flanker will be responsible for sneak attacks and covering the retreat."

"Now, I will give you a demonstration."

She turned to look at Captain Liu Ruyan and Ruan Xiaoxiao in the ranks: "You two, step forward."

Then she looked at Zhou Che, her tone carrying a hint of mischief: "Zhou Che, it would be a trouble for you to act as the target this time and simulate an anomaly."

Zhou Che raised an eyebrow and nodded with a smile.

"Sure. The three of you come at me together, no need to hold back. Let me see how your coordination is."

He didn't take it seriously at all.

His physical fitness was far superior to that of an ordinary person; even without using Transcendent powers, wouldn't defeating the three of them be as easy as pie?

The team members nearby also gathered around, watching the spectacle with great interest.

A big shot vs. three beauties—this was much more interesting than training themselves.

Luo Xi pulled Captain Liu Ruyan and Ruan Xiaoxiao aside and assigned tactics in a low voice.

"Ruyan, use your whip for ranged suppression; don't let him get close."

"Xiaoxiao, hide in the back and use your slingshot to look for opportunities to sneak attack, focusing on his weaknesses."

"I'll go at him head-on and spar with him. Remember, we don't clash head-on with him; we use coordination to wear him down."

Both women nodded, their eyes filled with a hint of excitement.

To be able to have a fair fight with Zhou Che, and it being three-on-one at that, such opportunities were rare.

"Are you ready? Begin!"

At Luo Xi's command, the battle began instantly.

She charged out first, her footsteps light and swift, like a cheetah.

Her fist, carrying a forceful wind, went straight for Zhou Che's face.

Zhou Che did not dodge or avoid, raising his hand to block.

He had thought he could easily parry Luo Xi's fist, but he didn't expect Luo Xi's punch to be a feint.

With a twist of her wrist, her fist turned into a palm, striking toward Zhou Che's chest.

Zhou Che hurriedly dodged to the side, feeling slightly startled.

This girl's skills were even better than he had imagined.

Luo Xi pressed her advantage, unleashing a combination of punches.

Every punch hit home, and every move targeted Zhou Che's vital points.

But she never clashed head-on with Zhou Che; as soon as Zhou Che threw a punch, she would immediately retreat, moving flexibly.

Zhou Che's fists grazed her clothes several times, failing to hit her at all.

"Not bad, Miss Luo, you've got some skills," Zhou Che said with a smile, his tone carrying a hint of appreciation.

Just then, Captain Liu Ruyan seized the opportunity.

With a flick of her long whip, it whistled through the air, striking Zhou Che's back fiercely.

Zhou Che had no defense at all and took the whip blow squarely.

"Crack!"

A crisp sound echoed across the training ground.

A burning sensation of pain radiated from his back.

Zhou Che turned his head abruptly and glared at Captain Liu Ruyan.

That look clearly said: You actually hit me, damn it!

Captain Liu Ruyan felt a panic in her heart from his glare, and the whip in her hand nearly dropped.

She instinctively wanted to retreat.

"Mr. Zhou! This is a proper training session!"

Luo Xi spoke righteously, her tone serious,

"Please stay fully focused and do not be the slightest bit lax! Otherwise, if you are knocked down by us, don't blame us for being rude!"

Zhou Che swallowed the bitter pill, snorting unhappily.

"Fine! If you want to hit, hit! See if you can keep coordinating like this! Otherwise, once I catch an opportunity, let's see how I deal with you!"

A bit of anger had also flared up in his heart.

To be beaten back by three women was just too embarrassing.

Taking advantage of Zhou Che's distraction, Luo Xi closed in again.

Her fist went straight for Zhou Che's waist.

Zhou Che hurriedly raised his hand to block.

He didn't expect that this punch from Luo Xi was another feint.
