361: Concerns about the Demons of the Abyss

In the room.

Wang Chen excitedly took out the six secret treasures and placed them on the table.

These six secret treasures were all very small. If not for the powerful energy fluctuations contained within them, anyone who saw them would think they were mere decorations.

Two of them, shaped like flying daggers, were offensive secret treasures. When energy was injected, they could unleash an attack equivalent to the full power of a top Rank 8 expert.

Two, shaped like shields, were defensive secret treasures. After activation, they provided an automatic protective function, capable of withstanding ten attacks from a Seven-Turn expert or five attacks from an Eight-Turn expert.

The last two, shaped like pendants, were for Wang Chen to use for escaping. They contained miniature long-distance teleportation arrays. The activation method was very simple: a single thought could directly teleport Wang Chen tens of thousands of miles away.

The only drawback was that the direction was random.

One by one, Wang Chen refined these six secret treasures with his essence blood, joyfully playing with them for a while.

“This time, I'm truly armed to the teeth!”

Thinking excitedly, he flipped his hand and put all six secret treasures into his spatial ring.

After finishing everything, Wang Chen checked the time, saw that it was already nine o'clock, and immediately decided to go to bed.

But just then…

“I almost forgot, there’s still one most important thing I haven’t refined.”

Sitting back on the bed, Wang Chen took out the wooden carving from his spatial ring.

Without hesitation, he gritted his teeth and squeezed out another drop of essence blood, dripping it onto the wooden carving.

The essence blood dropped onto the wooden carving and was instantly absorbed. At the same time, whether it was an illusion or not, an indescribable feeling subtly rose in Wang Chen’s heart.

He held his breath and concentrated, wanting to grasp this feeling, but it instantly vanished as if it had never appeared.

“How peculiar!”

“It seems this should be the effect of the King-level expert's power within it!”

For a moment, Wang Chen couldn't help but speculate.

The wooden carving given by Lord Charles could be said to be the most powerful secret treasure Wang Chen currently possessed.

Earlier, when he was shopping with his Senior Brother, he had wanted to get a few more secret treasures with King-level power for protection, but as soon as he inquired about the price, he immediately gave up.

Those secret treasures containing King-level power were all sky-high in price.

The six secret treasures he currently held had a total value of three hundred thousand High Grade Holy Quartzs.

However, a single King-level secret treasure started at a million High Grade Holy Quartzs.

To put it plainly, Wang Chen couldn't afford the wooden carving he held now, even if he lost everything.

“Lord Charles is someone to rely on!”

“He really gives benefits when he has them!”

Thinking excitedly, Wang Chen caressed the head of the wooden carving, treasuring it immensely.

Although Wei Mingyuan had said before that there was no need to take out the wooden carving for daily nurturing, Wang Chen still carefully wiped it, dusting off non-existent dust.

This was a treasure worth at least a million High Grade Holy Quartzs. Just taking it out to look at it a few times every day was enough to make one feel pleasant and happy.

However, Wang Chen did not know.

Just as he was wiping the wooden carving, in an unknown area, a heroic woman holding a battle saber suddenly stopped.

“What's going on?”

Taking out a wooden carving from her spatial ring, Talia frowned and looked at it.

It could be seen that the wooden carving looked exactly like her, vivid and lifelike.

But at this moment, a faint red light appeared on the surface of the wooden carving, emitting an ethereal glow, looking somewhat eerie.

Seeing this unprecedented change, Talia's heroic eyebrows furrowed.

“Are the things that old guy made so unreliable? Is it broken? Or is it…”

“Warning me?”

After pondering for a long time, Talia still couldn't figure out the situation. In the end, she could only helplessly put it back into her spatial ring.

Two days later.

In the top-floor office of Dawn Fortress.

“I hear you’re heading back this afternoon?”

Yang Daoming leaned on the sofa and asked indifferently.

Opposite him, Wang Chen respectfully nodded and replied:

“I’ve been in the Fortress for quite some time, and Master is urging me to return.”

“Alright!”

Yang Daoming nodded, then took a document from the table and tossed it towards Wang Chen:

“This is information about the Abyssal Demons.”

“However, we have very little contact with them, so there isn’t much useful information inside.”

“Most of it is just baseless speculation.”

After the life-and-death battle ended, Wang Chen reported the situation of the Berserker Demon Baal to his Senior Brother.

After all, the situation was somewhat bizarre; his remaining strength at the end couldn't even kill a mouse, yet he had blasted the incredibly powerful Berserker Demon into pieces.

“Thank you, Lord!”

Taking the document, Wang Chen thanked him and began to read it.

Abyssal Demons, residing in the Endless Abyss World, ranked among the top twenty in strength among all the races in the myriad heavens, possessing an unknown number of Law-level experts.

They were inherently warlike, with every adult demon having fought their way up from endless bloody battles, possessing extremely powerful combat strength.

Berserker Demons, among the Abyssal Demons, had a very noble Bloodline and possessed the potential to impact the Law. Upon reaching adulthood, they could reach Rank 8.

Soon.

After reading the information on the document, Wang Chen’s eyes couldn’t help but become solemn.

That Berserker Demon had actually possessed Rank 8 strength in life, which utterly horrified him and also made him wonder.

How could such a powerful Berserker Demon be killed and Seal-ed within Takizawa Hideaki’s body to become his shikigami?

With doubts in his heart, Wang Chen couldn't help but look at Yang Daoming.

Before he could ask, Yang Daoming guessed the doubts in his heart and directly explained:

“This Berserker Demon probably accidentally entered a spatial Turbulence and was coincidentally discovered by an old man from the Takizawa family.”

“Five years ago, there was a disturbance at Free Fortress. I heard there was an invasion of Abyssal power, which should be related to this.”

“So that’s how it is.”

Wang Chen nodded, then hesitated and asked:

“Then, Marshal Yang, will what the Berserker Demon said at the end have any impact on me?”

It was no wonder he was worried; the Abyssal Demons were incredibly powerful, and even Blue Star was quite fragile in front of them.

Moreover, the last words the Berserker Demon spoke before leaving seemed to imply that they would meet again in the future.

This sent shivers down Wang Chen’s spine.

Who knew where the Endless Abyss World actually was!

Neither him going there nor the Berserker Demon appearing on Blue Star would be a good thing.

“You said earlier, what was that Berserker Demon’s true name?”

Yang Daoming did not answer at this time, but instead asked a question.

“It should be…”

Wang Chen recalled carefully for a moment, then slowly said:

“Baal Shirou To Tiramisu Akmonde!”

Hearing this, Yang Daoming carefully chewed on the name, falling into thought.
