486: The difference between the world

The first generation of improved floating airships had extremely strong carrying capacity.

After loading thousands of soldiers and various weapons and ammunition, the space was still quite spacious.

It was his first time riding such an old artifact, and Wang Chen stood by the porthole, curiously looking out.

Since the will of the heavens recovered on Blue Star, teleportation arrays have sprung up on its native land, especially in Dragon Country, where teleportation arrays have become standard in various cities.

Ordinary people could spend some money and instantly reach cities a thousand miles away, and transportation like airplanes had long become history.

"Commander, is this your first time riding a floating airship?"

At this moment, Xiong Hao approached with a flattering smile on his face.

"Centurion Xiong is awake?"

"Does your head still hurt? Do you want me to help you treat it?"

Seeing Xiong Hao, Wang Chen remembered the fellow knocking himself out and couldn't help but tease him.

"The Commander is joking."

Xiong Hao rubbed his hands awkwardly, his expression a bit unnatural.

"Your subordinate did such a ridiculous thing because I didn't know your identity before. Please don't blame me, Commander."

He stammered, his eyes a bit shifty.

Obviously, it was his first time doing such an act of begging for forgiveness, and he didn't know who taught him those flowery words.

"It's nothing!"

Seeing this, Wang Chen smiled and shook his head. He was naturally not a petty person, and even if he had been angry, he had already vented it when he brutally beat Xiong Hao earlier.

"Thank you, Commander."

Xiong Hao breathed a sigh of relief upon hearing this, and the tension on his face dissipated considerably.

"Then your subordinate won't disturb the Commander from enjoying the scenery."

With that, Xiong Hao retreated.

At this moment.

"It seems Xiong Hao is truly convinced of the Commander's strength. Your subordinate has been in the Fierce Tiger Legion for many years, and this is the first time I've seen this fellow yield."

Li Yujiu walked over, looking at Xiong Hao's back and said to Wang Chen.

"They are all minor matters."

Wang Chen smiled and didn't say much.

He came here to gain experience and improve his strength. It was enough for his subordinates to be obedient; there was no need to ask for more.

"By the way, Brother Li, you came at just the right time."

Wang Chen had been busy dealing with matters related to going to Ansos Earl Territory before, so he had forgotten to resolve the doubts in his mind.

He immediately told Li Yujiu about his previous discovery.

"This is a normal phenomenon."

Li Yujiu smiled after listening, then explained:

"The Huiguang World is only a medium-sized world, and the intensity of its world rules is vastly different from Blue Star."

"To use a somewhat inappropriate analogy, living on Blue Star is like living in water, adapting to the pressure in the water, while coming to the Huiguang World is like coming ashore, and the restraints on one's body are naturally much less."

"Conversely, if the natives of the Huiguang World enter Blue Star, their strength will also be weakened to a corresponding degree."

"This situation, when the Commander goes to the Myriad Heavens Battlefield in the future and stays for a long time, he will naturally have a deeper understanding."

...

...

Ansos Earl's Mansion.

At this moment.

The luxurious and extravagant mansion was filled with a suffocating atmosphere, and a man as fat as a pig was roaring:

"Bastard!"

"Why haven't the Dragon Country garrison sent anyone over yet? If they come any later, the Earl's mansion will be surrounded by the Magic Tide!"

"Are they planning to wait for me to die so they can take over my Ansos Family's property?"

Speaking of this, the man gasped heavily, angrily smashing a nearby vase, startling the surrounding servants who all stared at their toes, not even daring to raise their heads.

He was the current Lord Ansuosi, and the tens of thousands of square kilometers of surrounding land were his inherited territory.

"Hoo hoo!"

After a few heavy breaths, Lord Ansuosi squeezed onto a chair, pointing a finger at someone:

"You... didn't you say that as long as we sent out a distress signal, the Dragon Country garrison from outside the heavens would come?"

"Why is there no movement at all now?"

"Lord Earl, the distress signal we sent out has received a reply."

The person being pointed at was the butler of the Earl's mansion, and he cautiously reminded him:

"They need half a day to get here and told us to hold on first."

"They should be arriving soon, I imagine."

"Hold on?"

Lord Ansuosi's eyes widened, and he angrily slapped the armrest of the chair:

"This Magic Tide is coming fiercely, how can we hold on?"

"I think they have ill intentions!"

Hearing his words, the butler lowered his head and looked at his toes, muttering to himself.

If you hadn't been so clever, fearing that these outsiders would come and usurp your place, and also sent a distress signal to another external force.

How could the situation have turned out like this!

Of course, the butler only dared to mutter these words in his heart; speaking them aloud would cost him his life.

After Lord Ansuosi had vented for a while, the butler cautiously spoke:

"Why don't we go and beg the Sakura Country army again?"

"They took so many benefits from us, so by all accounts, they shouldn't stand idly by."

"Those bastards!"

Hearing the butler's words, Lord Ansuosi gritted his teeth, his anger growing even stronger.

Originally, when the Sakura Country's thousand-man team arrived, he was overjoyed, personally receiving them and even tidying up one of his estates for them to use as a camp.

As a result, these fellows, after arriving, demanded endlessly. Magic crystals and various valuable resources were transported in by the cartload. Now that the Magic Tide was approaching, not to mention sending manpower to help defend, not even a single hair had come out.

Thinking of the things he had put into it, Lord Ansuosi's heart twitched. Those were things he had painstakingly plundered.

"Bastard!"

"Bastard!"

"None of these outsiders are good people!"

The more he thought about it, the angrier he got, and Lord Ansuosi started cursing again.

Below, the butler listened with an expression of agreement, but his heart was bitter, and he was even more disappointed in his Earl.

The outsiders were divided into two factions, and the Dragon Country side had always had a good reputation.

Since their arrival, there had been no reports of forced buying and selling, or bullying the weak.

On the other hand, the Sakura Country acted arrogantly and domineeringly, causing chaos wherever they went, seemingly wanting to scrape the earth three feet deep to exploit everything.

The butler saw clearly that the Earl Territory had been peaceful and undisturbed before, and even occasionally received some assistance, simply because the two external forces needed a buffer zone.

But what was laughable was...

Lord Ansuosi was completely unaware of this, instead believing himself to be extremely important, secretly harboring the idea of playing both sides.

Normally, there would be no problem. These barren lands were not coveted by the two external forces.

But now it was different...

With the Magic Tide approaching, sending out distress calls to both sides simultaneously was simply a path to self-destruction.

Any slight disturbance caused by these two forces could drown these small fry.

"It seems I need to make plans early."

The butler thought silently, feeling that he should prepare a retreat for himself.

Just then, a guard in leather armor suddenly ran in excitedly:

"Lord Earl, the reinforcements are here!"
