720: Dark Titan Rise

Inside the cave.

As the Beast Pet Fusion neared its end, the giant black egg, formed from the fusion of three Dark Tyrant Ape Cubs, began to show cracks on its surface.

Through these cracks, a small life could be seen squirming, trying to break free from its confinement.

As the cracks on the eggshell grew larger, the top of the eggshell was soon pushed up, and a small, dark, ape-like head emerged from it.

“Roar!”

A tender roar sounded, and the remaining eggshell was directly shattered by the little fellow.

The next second, a small creature, ape-like in appearance but without a tail, covered in tender, translucent red mucus, appeared before Wang Chen.

It was thin, its fur clinging tightly to its body, looking pitiful.

“Woo woo woo!”

After appearing, the little fellow let out an affectionate cry towards Wang Chen, then licked clean the mucus on its body.

“Is this a Dark Titan?”

“Why does it look so silly?”

Looking at the little fellow who had just broken out of its shell, turning around and munching on the eggshell on the ground, Wang Chen couldn't help but raise an eyebrow.

He suddenly realized that the Dark Titan was not as mighty as he had imagined; its actions of constantly picking up eggshells and crunching them in its mouth made him want to laugh.

However…

These eggshells seemed to contain extremely strong energy, and as the little fellow continuously devoured them, its body visibly expanded by a circle, its black fur becoming shiny and lustrous, with faint magical energy flowing within.

Soon, after all the eggshells were completely devoured, the little fellow licked its mouth, still unsatisfied, and its pair of bright big eyes directly fixed on Wang Chen.

“Woo woo!”

Then, the Dark Titan cried out “woo woo” and pounced, its eyes full of anticipation, looking like it hadn't eaten enough and wanted more.

“Goodness, this is another little foodie!”

“Next, we should sign the contract. Once it's signed, I'll give you something delicious.”

Wang Chen took out a Holy Quartz and dangled it in front of the little fellow, then used Beast Taming Art on the Dark Titan.

As magical energy surged, two contract runes instantly formed and then, in a blink of an eye, disappeared into the foreheads of Wang Chen and the Dark Titan respectively.

“Woo woo!”

The next second, the Soul link was established, and Wang Chen felt a sense of closeness and dependence through the contract.

“Go eat!”

“You’re so gluttonous, what should I name you?”

Placing a Holy Quartz in the Dark Titan's small hand, Wang Chen looked at the little fellow eagerly hugging the Holy Quartz and crunching on it, pondering.

“Got it!”

“I’ll call you Black Empress!”

After a moment, Wang Chen's eyes lit up, having thought of a very satisfying name.

Seeing the Dark Titan happily eating, Wang Chen felt that the little fellow must also like the name very much.

“Black Empress, Black Empress, the empress in the darkness, I hope you won't disappoint my earnest expectations for you in the future.”

Taking out another Holy Quartz and placing it next to the little fellow, Wang Chen then, with a thought, opened the little fellow's attribute panel.

“Beast Pet: Dark Titan.”

“Nickname: Black Empress.”

“Age: Less than a month (Infancy).”

“Tier: Ancestral Divine Beast.”

“Talent: Infinite Growth (SSS).”

“Skills: Dark Body (SSS): Passive skill, immune to all Dark and Evil energy attacks. Except for Light-type attacks, when subjected to any other attacks, damage taken is reduced by thirty percent.

Titan's Wrath (SSS): Active attack skill, the Dark Titan unleashes a mighty roar by drawing upon Dark power, attacking all enemies within a hundred-meter radius. Any enemies with a lower Tier than the Dark Titan will have a twenty percent reduction in strength applied as a debuff, lasting ten minutes. The attack power is equal to the sum of the Dark Titan's Strength and Physique attributes, and is amplified by a multiple of the Dark Titan's own Tier (one time in infancy, two times in youth, three times in young adulthood...).”

After reading the Dark Titan's attribute panel, a hint of understanding flashed in Wang Chen's eyes.

Two hundred points in Wisdom attribute, which was much lower compared to Ice Purity and the others.

This clearly showed that the Dark Titan relied on Strength.

Her initial Strength and Physique attributes both reached seven hundred points, much higher than Ice Purity and the others when they first started.

Moreover, immunity to Dark and Evil energy attacks!

The Dark Titan could almost be called the bane of wild monsters and demonic creatures. If physical attacks weren't used, even those wild monsters and demonic creatures whose strength could rival Rank Nine or Rank Ten might not be able to break through the little fellow's defense.

If this little fellow grew up, her monster-slaying speed would probably be unmatched by all other Beast Pets.

“For the time being, I'll focus on leveling up Black Empress.”

“After nightfall, the monsters around will be at least Rank 100. The experience gained from killing these monsters is negligible for me and the other little ones, but it's incredibly abundant for the Dark Titan.”

Pondering, Wang Chen stroked Black Empress's small head.

The little fellow is currently in its infancy growth phase, at Rank 0, which is the fastest stage for leveling up. It won't take long for Wang Chen to raise her to Rank 40, the limit for the infancy phase.

This way, Wang Chen will gain a ten percent attribute feedback from the little fellow, and his strength will once again experience a surge in a short period.
