516: Position swap

“Little one.”

“You’ve gone too far!”

Hattori Hanzo’s ancient, sinister eyes stared at Zhang Zhenfeng, his withered, aged body emitting a sound like a bronze bell:

“Since Wang Chen isn’t dead, your slaughter of the Flourishing Flower Legion was enough. Why did you have to kill Handa Kento?”

As his voice fell, dark clouds gathered in the sky hundreds of miles away, and deep purple lightning continuously streaked through them.

It was as if responding to the anger in his heart.

“Heh!”

However, Zhang Zhenfeng scoffed, unafraid.

He stared intently at Hattori Hanzo, the Fierce Tiger Legion below completely merging with him.

“Hattori, you old dog!”

“I gave you Face by calling you Marshal, and you really took advantage of it, didn’t you?”

Zhang Zhenfeng’s words were impolite, and the coldness in his tone directly dispersed the dark clouds across the sky, even allowing the long-lost sunlight to fall upon the plain.

“How can a mere Flourishing Flower Legion, a Handa Kento, compare to a single hair on Wang Chen, a Prodigy of our Dragon Country?”

“Rather, it’s you, an old fellow almost in the grave, who barely qualifies to put an end to this matter.”

As his voice fell, Zhang Zhenfeng took a step forward, the soldiers of the Fierce Tiger Legion swarming around him like streaks of light, instantly transforming him into a towering giant.

He raised his palm, clenched his fist, and punched out.

Rumble!!!

This punch shattered space, causing spiderweb-like cracks to appear in the ground within a several-hundred-mile radius.

At the same time, it carried an seemingly irresistible force, striking towards Hattori Hanzo.

“Arrogant!”

Hattori Hanzo’s hunched body instantly straightened, and rage flickered in his sinister eyes.

His withered, chicken-claw-like hand extended, suddenly blocking the giant-mountain-like fist.

Compared to that fist, Hattori Hanzo was as tiny as an ant, yet it was this ant that, with just one hand, blocked the attack Zhang Zhenfeng launched by gathering his legion, and firmly pushed it away.

Zhang Zhenfeng retreated dozens of miles before stabilizing himself in mid-air.

“Using a battle formation indeed allowed you to advance to Nine Revolution.”

“But you wouldn’t think that with this borrowed power, this pseudo-Nine Revolution, you have the right to challenge this old man, would you?”

Hattori Hanzo’s clothes billowed without wind, and an extremely terrifying aura surged.

The recently clear sky was once again covered by dark clouds, and this time the scope was even larger, extending thousands of miles.

“Today, this old man will teach you, this junior, a lesson on behalf of those old fellows in your Dragon Country!!”

Hattori Hanzo lifted a foot, and world-destroying lightning accumulated in his withered left hand.

But…

Before he could take this step, his raised foot stopped in mid-air.

“You old dog, your Face truly gets thicker with age.”

“When did the juniors of my Dragon Country ever need you to teach them a lesson?”

A young man with red lips, white teeth, and handsome features appeared in front of Hattori Hanzo.

This young man looked less than twenty, but his eyes were extremely indifferent; though not cloudy, they gave off a sense of ancient Vicissitudes from having experienced many years.

“Li Daoran?”

A hint of apprehension flashed in Hattori Hanzo’s eyes, and he subtly retracted his raised foot.

The person in front of him looked young, but he was indeed from the same era as him.

Li Daoran, the highest commander of the Dragon Country in the Huiguang World, a Nine Revolution Wang-level expert.

“My Sakura Country will withdraw from the territory belonging to the Flourishing Flower Legion. Let today’s matter be over.”

Upon seeing Li Daoran appear, Hattori Hanzo knew that the situation was irreversible. He wasted no words, and after speaking, he directly tore through space and left.

He didn’t even mention Kiriyama Koji or the remaining two thousand-man teams of the Prosperity Legion.

“This old dog certainly knows how to assess the situation.”

“It’s just a pity that I couldn’t take the opportunity to keep him here today.”

Zhang Zhenfeng, who had deactivated the battle formation and flown over, scoffed, then saluted:

“Greetings, Commander Li!”

Li Daoran nodded, noncommittal about Zhang Zhenfeng’s words.

Wang-level experts are not so easy to kill. To be called Wang, it means one has reached the pinnacle of the Awakener system on Blue Star.

Even with Zhang Zhenfeng, who could activate the army formation, assisting him, the success rate of killing Hattori Hanzo was less than thirty percent.

After all, not everyone is Yang Daoming, who kills ordinary Wang-level experts like chickens; he is among the very top existences among all Wang-level experts.

“This matter ends here. Don’t provoke those guys from Sakura Country recently.”

“The overall internal environment of Blue Star needs to be stable now. If you continue with your petty actions, it will cause public outrage.”

Li Daoran kept staring in the direction Hattori Hanzo left, and after confirming something, he turned and advised.

“Commander Li, I didn’t initiate this matter.”

Zhang Zhenfeng gave a bitter smile and complained:

“Who knew those little guys had such big appetites? Eating one thousand-man team wasn’t enough, they set their sights on the entire territory of the Flourishing Flower Legion.”

“The arrow was on the string; I had no choice but to fire. I’ve always been very passive.”

“Heh!”

Li Daoran glanced at Zhang Zhenfeng sideways; though he said nothing, everything was clear without words.

“Alright, stop pretending to be innocent here, you brat.”

“Take your legion to take over the Flourishing Flower Legion’s station. There’s still an Eight-Turn there; don’t let him escape.”

After giving his instructions, Li Daoran was about to turn and leave.

He was stationed in the Huiguang World primarily to keep an eye on those few corrupted evil gods, so he couldn’t leave for too long.

“Um…”

Seeing Li Daoran about to leave, Zhang Zhenfeng suddenly said with a grin:

“Commander Li, aren’t you going to stretch your limbs while you’re here? There are still two thousand-man teams from Sakura Country chasing Wang Chen. How about you deal with them on your way?”

“Wang Chen?”

Li Daoran turned his head and looked into the distance upon hearing this. This glance seemed to cross infinite distance, landing on a certain location.

“We don’t need to worry about that kid. Those two thousand-man teams have almost been wiped out by him.”

He shook his head with a smile, and with a movement of his feet, he vanished without a trace.

“No way?”

Zhang Zhenfeng stood in the air, his expression a bit stunned.

What’s going on?

That kid, Wang Chen, can actually counter-kill against two thousand-man teams that have activated battle formations?!

At this moment, he suddenly had a deeper understanding of the title ‘First Prodigy in Seven Hundred Years’.

Dark Dense Forest.

The primeval forest that once flourished and covered hundreds of miles has become riddled with holes.

Looking down from the sky, daunting empty areas were scattered throughout the entire forest like ink stains on a white paper, leaving only some irregular blank spaces.

And within it, a tense and fierce game of hide-and-seek was underway.

However, compared to the beginning, the participants in this game had swapped positions.

“Devil!”

“That Wang Chen is a devil!!”

“How can there be such a monstrous person in the world?”

“He’s only a 5th Rank!”

Panicked voices, mixed with fear, continuously rang out among the fleeing team, and despair was etched on the Face of every person in the team.

Even Tokugawa Mitsutomo, who bore the brutal title of “Ghoul,” was no exception!!
