530: Encountering Moving Mountains

“The Black Fire Merchant Guild’s map… it’s filled with traps indeed!”

After dealing with Charlie and the two others, Wang Chen looked at the brand-new map recorded on his data terminal, a cold sneer appearing on his face.

If the previous simple map, with only directions and routes, was a scribble, then this new one, supplemented by Charlie and his companions, could be considered a sketch.

Not only were the routes marked extremely clearly, but all noteworthy wild monsters and demonic beasts in the vicinity were also indicated, with notes beside them detailing precautions when passing through their territories.

With this detailed map, as long as one wasn’t too unlucky, even a 2nd or 3rd Rank native had a chance to successfully traverse Gods Sigh Mountain.

“Heh heh!”

“Before, I thought the Black Fire Merchant Guild sold that rudimentary map just to drum up business for their Gold Diggers teams.”

“Now it seems they probably treat people as fat sheep and bait.”

After finishing reading the map, Wang Chen sneered.

For this map to be so detailed, it was likely exchanged with the lives of countless people who had been deceived by the Black Fire Merchant Guild.

Every wild monster and demonic beast territory, and those safe routes that wouldn’t be discovered when passing through, were filled with piles of white bones!

“Susu, you should return to the Beast Pet Space for now.”

Committing the upcoming route to memory, Wang Chen waved his hand and recalled Susu into the Beast Pet Space.

Next, he planned to travel quickly.

The wild monsters and demonic beasts recorded on the map were all mediocre in strength; the strongest ones were only around Rank 170-180, and their numbers were very small.

For those native Gold Diggers, these wild monsters and demonic beasts were extremely dangerous, but for Wang Chen, they weren’t worth wasting time on.

He’d rather save his energy to find the main forces of those wild monsters and demonic beasts on the other side.

Now that he knew the safe route, he could cross Gods Sigh Mountain and enter the chaotic area occupied by wild monsters and demonic beasts on the other side in half a day.

He pressed onward.

As Wang Chen traveled at full speed, the surrounding trees flashed by on either side, and the fierce winds he generated formed terrifying storms in his wake.

Even the tall trees that had grown for decades or centuries swayed precariously.

Along the way, the wild monsters and demonic beasts that had wandered onto this route were even unluckier; they didn’t even know what was happening before their bodies were torn to shreds.

Time flew by.

Two hours passed.

Wang Chen had thoroughly delved into the depths of Gods Sigh Mountain.

Upon reaching this point, he reined in his speed, no longer causing such a large commotion as he had before.

Although he was traveling on a safe route, and the map provided by Charlie and the others indicated that the surrounding areas were only ordinary wild monsters and demonic beasts equivalent to Rank 4 or 5th Rank, this assumed no unexpected situations would arise.

In the depths of Gods Sigh Mountain, there were wild monsters and demonic beasts of the King Rank level lurking.

Making too much noise and attracting the attention of these big guys would force even Wang Chen to flee in disarray.

Of course.

Although he had reined in his speed somewhat, his current pace was still far beyond what a normal 5th Rank Awakener could achieve; even when climbing perilous mountain paths, his speed was as swift as a galloping horse.

Soon, Wang Chen passed through the most dangerous deep areas and arrived at the outer perimeter, closer to the wild monster and demonic beast main camp.

Upon reaching this point, he intended to pick up his speed again.

“Roar!”

However, just at this moment, a brutal roar suddenly echoed from a nearby area.

Wang Chen paused, startled.

The roar was very close, only about three or four li away, and judging from the sound waves it generated, this was definitely a Lord Rank demonic beast, or even one extremely close to the King Rank.

In terms of Rank, it was at least Rank 210 or higher.

And at this moment, amidst the continuous roars, streaks of magical light, accompanied by booming sounds, rose from the area where the sound originated.

Noticing this commotion, curiosity appeared in Wang Chen’s eyes.

Originally, he had planned to ignore it and continue on his way, but after expanding his perception, he sensed a familiar aura from the other party battling the demonic beast.

If his perception wasn’t mistaken, the one fighting the demonic beast was a Seven-Turn Professional from Blue Star.

“I just don’t know if it’s someone from my Dragon Country, or a scumbag from Sakura Country?”

Pondering silently, Wang Chen didn’t hesitate much and directly headed towards the area where the battle erupted.

Soon.

The distance of over three li passed in an instant, and as he stopped on a large tree branch, a messy clearing appeared before him.

At the same time, a foul, bloody smell assailed him, causing Wang Chen to furrow his brows involuntarily.

In the clearing, there were broken limbs and severed arms of wild monsters and demonic beasts everywhere, densely covering a hundred-meter radius, and blood had almost converged into streams flowing in all directions.

In the center of the clearing, a disheveled figure was confronting a giant demonic beast.

This demonic beast was over ten meters tall, standing there like a city wall.

Its appearance resembled an ape, but it was much more ferocious, with brown fur covering its body, each strand standing erect and gleaming with a hard luster.

Especially its two arms, which were almost as tall as its body, long enough to drag on the ground; each swing was like a long whip, tearing through the air with an incredibly sharp whistling sound.

Wherever it passed, the broken corpses on the ground were pulverized into meat paste by the violent wind pressure it generated.

Upon seeing this demonic beast, even without using a detection skill, Wang Chen recognized its identity.

It was a Long-Armed Demonic Ape, a Peak Lord Rank demonic beast, with a Rank as high as 215, skilled in close-quarters combat, and capable of easily leveling a small mountain when enraged.

Even with Wang Chen’s current strength and the assistance of four little companions, dealing with this big guy would be far from easy.

However…

The figure confronting the Long-Armed Demonic Ape, though appearing disheveled, evaded the Long-Armed Demonic Ape’s attacks with surprising ease, as if strolling leisurely, avoiding its attacks again and again.

At the same time, his hands continuously swung, and wind blades with sharp auras landed on the Long-Armed Demonic Ape at tricky angles, causing it to bare its fangs, grimace, and roar repeatedly.

Even with its thick hide, its brown fur was gradually stained red with blood.

“A Wind Mage?”

“Looks like one of our own.”

Wang Chen stood on the tree branch, and upon seeing the mark embroidered on the clothes of the person fighting the Long-Armed Demonic Ape, his eyes flickered.

It was an inverted mountain, embroidered with bright yellow silk threads, its color unable to be obscured even when stained with blood.

This person should be from the Mountain Moving Legion, another legion that entered the Huiguang World along with the Fierce Tiger Legion.

After a moment’s thought, Wang Chen released the suppression on his aura and called out loudly:

“Brother from the Mountain Moving Legion, do you need any help?”
