138: You can take it at will

Qin Shilei, who had come outside, was still covered in dense ants.

He activated his lightning again, electrocuting all the ants on him.

"Buzz, buzz, buzz!"

Before Qin Shilei could even sigh in relief, a rustling sound came from behind him.

He turned around and saw black ants swarming towards him from all directions behind him.

They didn't seem fast, but in the blink of an eye, they were within five meters of him.

Qin Shilei turned and ran, and after a hundred meters, he looked back to see the ants still relentlessly pursuing him.

They were a dark mass, like a surging black ocean rushing towards him.

Although their speed wasn't as fast as his, in the short time he turned around, they had already closed to about twenty meters behind him.

"Still coming? Are you treating this tiger like a sick cat because he hasn't shown his might?"

Qin Shilei's anger flared, and he continuously unleashed several finger-thick bolts of lightning, throwing them at the ants.

The lightning flew, blowing up and killing countless ants, but the terrifying number of ants made it seem like a drop in the ocean.

"If only I could use Devouring Thunder, how could you be so rampant?"

Qin Shilei turned and ran into the distance.

A single ant posed no threat.

Qin Shilei could easily kill it with a casual swing of his sword.

Even a thousand or two thousand ants wouldn't faze Qin Shilei.

But too many ants can really bite a person to death!

Thunderbolt Thrust was his area-of-effect skill, but against these ants, a direct ordinary lightning bolt was more effective.

He reviewed his skills, and the most effective one against these ants was Devouring Thunder.

However, this wasn't that alternate dimension, so even with the thunder spirit orb, he couldn't cast Devouring Thunder.

So, he had no choice but to temporarily leave and then figure out a way to collect the grain from the granary.

Qin Shilei quickly moved over a thousand meters away from the granary, and the swarm of flying ants behind him disappeared.

Just as he was about to find a place to rest and think about how to deal with those ants, a group of people suddenly emerged from a corner ahead.

"You're not dead?" Scarface said with a look of surprise.

"Hmph, you'll be dead very soon," Qin Shilei coldly snorted.

What a coincidence, to run into this group of scumbags again.

"No, sir, my mouth is cheap and I don't know how to speak, please spare me." Scarface quickly begged for mercy, his eyes darting left and right as if searching for an escape route.

"Calling me 'ancestor' won't help; you all will die today."

Qin Shilei walked step by step towards the group of people.

"Sir, we didn't seem to provoke you; why be so ruthless?" Scarface looked at the approaching Qin Shilei, his heart filled with despair, only praying that his words could persuade the other party to spare him.

"Go to hell and ask the people you killed," Qin Shilei said in a deep voice.

"If I die, you won't have an easy time either."

Scarface yelled, suddenly throwing something at Qin Shilei.

The object scattered as soon as it left his hand, covering a two-meter radius in front of him.

At this moment, Qin Shilei had just arrived one meter in front of Scarface, and his Blood Soul had just swung out.

Seeing a puff of powder coming, he quickly dodged, narrowly avoiding the powder from getting into his eyes.

"What a sinister fellow, using lime."

If it were someone else, at such close range, facing ants they could easily crush, they might have been careless and gotten lime in their eyes.

Qin Shilei put away his contempt and transformed into a bolt of lightning, charging forward.

As screams rang out, Scarface and his companions fell into pools of blood.

Adhering to the excellent principle of not wasting a single bit, Qin Shilei collected all their Qiankun Rings.

He turned and entered an empty house nearby.

Qin Shilei sat on the sofa, casually flipping through the Qiankun Rings of those people while pondering how to get the grain from inside the granary.

The granary contained a massive number of ants, and as soon as Qin Shilei entered to collect grain, he would surely attract their attack.

And that swarm of ants seemed to have a restraining effect on energy shields.

The shield provided by the Golden Silk Soft Armor would break and disappear in a few minutes at most under the countless ants' gnawing.

The first method was to quickly collect the grain with the Qiankun Ring while protected by the shield.

Then, before the shield disappeared, teleport away, replenish his energy, and go back in to collect more grain.

Because it takes a very short time to collect things with the Qiankun Ring, and there was simply too much grain, plus the time spent recovering energy, it might take two or three days to collect all the grain here.

The second method was to kill all the ants inside and then calmly collect the grain; this way, he could finish collecting all the grain in less than half a day.

However, the number of ants was too great; if he were to kill them one by one with his sword, he might vomit before he could kill them all.

If he used fire, it would burn the grain inside.

"Can I lure all the ants out and then use fire?" Qin Shilei thought to himself.

The ants were extremely aggressive; the swarm just now chased him for three or four hundred meters, so luring them out shouldn't be difficult.

Just as Qin Shilei was about to go burn the ants, he suddenly pulled out a scroll from Scarface's ring.

contract scroll (Green): Can be used to contract pets. The success rate varies with the difference in strength between the two parties.

He hadn't expected that although Scarface and his group weren't strong, they had a scroll that could capture pets.

Looking at this scroll, Qin Shilei's mind suddenly became active.

Are these ants perhaps led by a single queen ant?

If he used the contract scroll to subdue the queen ant, could he indirectly control this swarm of man-eating ants?

Thinking of the tide-like man-eating ants instantly engulfing enemies with a wave of his hand, Qin Shilei unconsciously showed a slight smile.

To contract the queen ant, he first needed to find her.

Qin Shilei returned to the granary base again.

Before he could even start looking for the queen ant, the rumbling sound of helicopter rotors suddenly came from above his head.

He looked up to see two helicopters slowly descending not far away.

Lu Tian罡 jumped out of the helicopter with several soldiers.

When he saw Qin Shilei, Lu Tian罡 was visibly stunned, then smiled and walked over: "Brother Qin, what a coincidence."

Qin Shilei also smiled and nodded: "It is quite a coincidence. Are you also interested in this granary?"

"What are you talking about?" A person behind Lu Tian罡 said unhappily: "What do you mean 'we're also interested in the granary'? The grain here is originally national strategic supplies; we are taking back what belongs to us."

"Heh heh," Qin Shilei chuckled noncommittally.

"What are you laughing at? This is our military's territory; please leave immediately," that person said sharply.

"Li Feng, shut up! This is the top expert of Nanzhuang City. Is that how you speak?" Lu Tian罡 turned and glared at his subordinate, scolding him in a deep voice.

"He's Qin Shilei?" Li Feng's expression changed. "This... I had no intention of offending you, Mr. Qin, please forgive me."

Lu Tian罡 also smiled apologetically: "My subordinate was rude, Brother Qin, please don't take offense."

Qin Shilei shook his head and said indifferently: "It's fine. It's just that you won't blame me for also being interested in this granary, right?"

"How could we? There's so much grain here; take whatever you want." Lu Tian罡 waved his hand generously.

But he thought to himself: "You're alone; how much can you take?"
