Section 139

Apart from its appearance, materials, and scope...

[This shotgun doesn't seem to have anything special about it.]

[Even compared to various modern firearms...]

[It's even somewhat mediocre!]

This time...

No one screamed or showed a shocked expression.

On everyone's faces...

There was an expression of disappointment, loss, and even incomprehension!

Lin Xian is a super genius who created mechas, laser weapons, and hundred-meter Lightsabers.

How could such a [mediocre shotgun]... come from Lin Xian's hands?

Could it be that Lin Xian...

Has really [run out of talent]?! Ding.

Chapter 86: Lin Xian takes out a yellowed certificate, shocking the world! Who says an Agricultural Machinery Factory can't make guns?

Seeing the [mediocre shotgun] in Lin Xian's hand... everyone was surprised!

They never expected...

Lin Xian would actually create such an ordinary, bland, and mediocre product!

This is completely different from his previous style of mechas, Artificial Rainfall Bombs, and laser Drones...

Thus...

The livestream chat was instantly filled with discussions—

"Huh? Just this? That's it? Why do I suddenly have an unreal feeling? Seriously, when Lin Xian slowly opened the suitcase and prepared to take out this [first gift for the hunter community], my heart was really in my throat! I was even prepared to be so shocked I'd jump or even pee myself! In the end, I didn't expect... the new product Lin Xian built up for so long... is actually just an ordinary shotgun?"

"I have to say, this shotgun designed by Lin Xian, besides the cool appearance, is almost no different from my grandfather's shotgun from decades ago! Could it be... could it be that Lin Xian... has really run out of talent this time!?"

"Is there a possibility? Because it's just a gift for those three kids... so Lin Xian didn't put much effort into the design? After all, it's just a gift, not a formal commercial product... maybe the design wasn't that diligent? But isn't this a good thing? At least at the United Nations meeting... Director Chu Yun doesn't have to be so flustered and desperate!"

"Haha! I really envy your goldfish-like memory! How many times has the same plot happened? Why do you still have the [illusion] that Lin Xian has turned over a new leaf, that Lin Xian has finally started to restrain himself, and that Lin Xian has started manufacturing proper agricultural tools? Even General Mike said... it's easier to change mountains and rivers than a person's nature! Even if you beat me to death, I won't believe Lin Xian would make '447' proper agricultural tools!"

"But to be fair, hunting is a very simple activity for hunters; it doesn't require particularly complex firearms. That's also why hunters' tools haven't been updated much over the years, because it's completely unnecessary! If you encounter a wild rabbit or deer... a crude gun can kill it. If you encounter a tiger or wild bear... if you're unlucky, even a machine gun is useless! You'll still die!"

...

On the internet, people had mixed reviews about this [mediocre] shotgun Lin Xian brought out.

But Director Chu Yun, sitting on the sofa at the United Nations venue... couldn't help but show a relaxed smile.

"It seems that products given as gifts in special segments... are indeed very different from products sold as formal items in the sales segments."

Director Chu Yun couldn't help but think of the so-called 'buy one get one free' in shopping malls.

Often, the 'one' that is given... is not at all on the same level as the 'one' you buy!

Consumers think they get the same thing they bought for free.

But in reality?

What you buy and what is given have absolutely nothing to do with each other! The merchant's meaning is just 'buy one item, and I'll give you another worthless item'...

This is the difference between [merchandise] and [freebies].

And this seemingly mediocre shotgun... Lin Xian had already stated from the beginning that it was merely a gift for the children.

Just a gift... could it really be a Super Black Technology product developed with a lot of effort and time?

That would be too unworthy!

Thinking of this.

Director Chu Yun couldn't help but be beaming with joy.

"It seems that working overtime today won't be too hard~"

"These three gifts... including the next two for the herdsmen and fishermen... will surely be like this shotgun, not too stunning or high-tech. Naturally, I won't need to explain anything..."

"Sigh... This time, I can finally have a good cup of tea, right?"

Director Chu Yun calmly took out a thermos from his briefcase... took a small sip of hot tea... and savored the fragrance~

Leisurely.

Elegant.

This is what life is called~

...

However!

Unlike Director Chu Yun's calmness!

General Mike's side... was almost blooming with laughter!

Hit!

Hit!

He guessed right!

Lin Xian... indeed designed a shotgun for the hunter community!

Regardless of whether this shotgun has any black technology for now...

Just the attribute of being a [firearm]!

He could use Dragon Country's laws to send Lin Xian to prison!

Hahahahaha!

Thinking of this...

General Mike didn't just laugh internally; he thought heaven was helping him! He actually found this weakness!

The whole world knows... Dragon Country is a country with very strict gun control!

Acts like Lin Xian's, privately producing and selling firearms...

Can be sentenced to death in Dragon Country!

This is truly a double-edged bitter meat strategy. Dragon Country's laws have always emphasized fairness and justice, not allowing anyone to be above the law!

He wanted to see this time...

If Dragon Country's laws! Would really open a back door for Lin Xian!

If they open a back door and don't sentence Lin Xian... Dragon Country's official credibility will be completely lost! Failure to be impartial... easily leads to internal conflicts and crises!

And if Dragon Country insists on the justice of the law... then Lin Xian must be sentenced to death according to the law! At the very least, it would be over ten years in prison!

It could be said...

[No matter the situation, both Dragon Country and Lin Xian are in a lose-lose situation.]

"Hahahahaha..."

General Mike could finally vent his frustration! He laughed out loud!

Under the gaze of billions of people around the world!

He loudly questioned Director Chu Yun—

"Chu Yun! Your Dragon Country has always boasted about fairness, justice, and equality for all... but please open your eyes and see what Lin Xian is doing! He is privately producing and selling firearms! In Dragon Country's laws... this is an act sufficient for the [death penalty]!"

"The whole world knows... Dragon Country is a country that strictly bans guns! Never mind manufacturing and selling guns... even the simple act of possession by ordinary citizens is considered a serious crime!"

"So... what exactly is going on with the scene before us!? Why is possession by ordinary people considered a serious crime... yet Lin Xian can manufacture and sell guns so freely! Is there any law left!? Is there... any law at all?"

General Mike became more and more excited as he spoke!

Shaking his head! Spittle was flying!

But he felt it was all worth it!

Because he knew... [being above the law] and [unfair treatment] are what the people of Dragon Country taboo and cannot tolerate the most!

[Between Lin Xian's freedom and the trust of all the people in Dragon Country... Dragon Country can only choose one!]

Thinking of this...

General Mike was full of energy!

He was in high spirits! He paced the stage with large strides in excitement! Then he continued to roar loudly:

"In my view... Dragon Country is not a country where the people are masters, and it's not a country where everyone is equal! Your laws are not fair at all, not just at all!"

"Now... Mr. Chu Yun, please answer my question seriously immediately—why does Dragon Country, as a country with strict gun bans, allow Lin Xian to remain outside the law, freely manufacturing and selling firearms!?"

"Now both witnesses and evidence are present... people all over the world have seen the fact that Lin Xian manufactures and sells guns! What does your Dragon Country intend to do next? Are you going to handle Lin Xian according to the law!? Or... are you going to give Lin Xian the special treatment of a superior person who is above the law!?"

General Mike's sudden questioning...

Directly plunged the United Nations venue into an ice-cold silence.
