447: Commemorative paper airplane!
Song Zhong quickly advanced in the direction of Medusa, but another matter left him somewhat puzzled.
He hadn't found any trace of Memorial or the Minotaur; it seemed as if these two had vanished from the maze.
However, Song Zhong did not linger and continued to advance towards Medusa's location.
...
Ten minutes earlier, Memorial was frantically fleeing through the maze.
The Minotaur seemed to possess inexhaustible strength, relentlessly pursuing Memorial.
Memorial had already mentally cursed Song Zhong's ancestors eighteen generations back.
Memorial attempted to summon several pixelated armored warriors, but these armored warriors couldn't even withstand a single punch from the Minotaur.
For a moment, Memorial even harbored the thought of "this person must not be allowed to live" towards Song Zhong, but then she reconsidered, realizing she couldn't defeat him and didn't know how many hidden tricks he had, so she dismissed the idea.
Between Life Qi and resentment, Memorial chose to feel resentful.
However, resentment aside, the immediate crisis still needed to be resolved.
If the chase continued like this, even if she wasn't beaten to death by the Minotaur, she would die of exhaustion.
Having made up her mind, Memorial stopped fleeing after passing through a fork in the path.
The enraged Minotaur directly smashed through the building next to that fork in the path, and upon seeing Memorial stop, it paused in surprise.
Then, it licked its lips with its tongue; the Minotaur's usual food was humans, and now seeing its prey give up struggling, although some of its fun was diminished, the thought of soon savoring the delicious meal made the Minotaur roar excitedly.
Its two feet scraped against the ground, and a ball of blue lightning began to gather between its two horns.
Under Zeus's blessing, the Minotaur not only gained unparalleled strength but also the power to control lightning.
"Roar, roar, roar!"
A muffled laugh emanated from the Minotaur's throat, and with crackling sounds, the lightning ball between its horns grew larger and larger; even with the distance between Memorial and it, she could still feel its terrifying destructive power.
However, facing the Minotaur's attack, Memorial's face did not show much fear.
Memorial calmly took out a piece of stationery from her embrace.
That stationery was as ordinary as could be, just a common red-checkered letter paper.
With nimble hands, Memorial quickly folded the stationery into a paper airplane, then, with a forceful throw of her right hand, tossed the paper airplane into the air.
"Dad, save me!"
Memorial's voice echoed through the maze, and the paper airplane swayed and floated in the air, as if it could land at any moment.
Although the Minotaur had lost the ability to speak, it still possessed the intelligence of a normal human.
It looked at Memorial's mysterious actions and couldn't help but reveal a mocking smile.
A paper airplane? Isn't that just a child's toy?
How childish. This human couldn't possibly expect this paper airplane to have any combat power, could she?
If it ate her, would it also become stupid?
Just as the Minotaur was mocking Memorial internally, suddenly, a strange sense of crisis arose within it.
It was difficult to describe this feeling; if forced to describe it, the Minotaur felt as if its body was being peeled away from this world.
It was like a basin of soapy water being turned into individual bubbles by an external force, and the Minotaur's body was imprisoned within this bubble by some power.
Nothing around it had changed, yet the Minotaur still experienced this strange sensation.
Memorial smiled at the monster in front of her and waved, "Goodbye, Mr. Monster."
After saying this, the Minotaur suddenly felt an inexplicable sense of crisis; it didn't know where this crisis came from, so it instinctively hurled the lightning between its horns towards Memorial.
Boom!
Rather than lightning, the term 'electromagnetic cannon' would be more fitting.
A brilliant blue arc of electricity shot out, and the terrifying lightning was like a dagger, aimed directly at Memorial's heart.
But Memorial, seeing the Minotaur's attack, did not dodge or evade, and even had a slight smile on her face.
"Alas!"
From somewhere in the Void Realm, a sigh was heard, and then, a miniature silver comet flew over Memorial's head.
That miniature comet happened to move in the opposite direction of the Minotaur's attack, and the Minotaur's pupils suddenly dilated.
It was now absolutely, certainly, and positively sure that its sense of crisis came from that tiny comet.
The silver light and the brilliant blue arc collided, their trajectories subtly overlapping.
However, there was no earth-shattering impact as imagined; when the two collided, they didn't even make a sound.
It seemed as if Memorial and the Minotaur were surrounded by a soundproof barrier.
The silver comet continued to advance, while the brilliant blue arc actually disappeared continuously as the comet moved forward.
From afar, the silver comet looked like an eraser, completely wiping out the Minotaur's attack, as if the attack had never existed in this world.
The Minotaur was completely flustered, "Roar?"
A huge question mark appeared above its bull's head. What kind of bizarre power was this?
Its attack could rival the Supreme God's, so why, against that tiny comet, did it not even have the destructive power to create a ripple?
This... this was simply a dimensionality reduction attack!
Realizing the immense power of that comet, the Minotaur had no more desire to fight; it now only wanted to escape.
The Minotaur knew very well that if it couldn't win, it had to run; it was not stupid at all.
It turned and ran in other directions of the maze, but just as the Minotaur turned, the silver comet had already arrived behind it.
The silver comet first glided past its feet.
The Minotaur immediately felt its lower body empty, lost its balance, and fell heavily to the ground.
With terrified eyes, the Minotaur watched helplessly as its body slowly disappeared from this world.
Without any dramatic flair, the Minotaur was erased like a misspelled word written by an elementary school student.
Memorial looked at the empty space in front of her; the paper airplane that had flown out earlier slowly landed on the ground.
Memorial smiled slightly, "Thanks, Dad, if there's a chance later, send me a few more sheets of stationery!"
From the Void Realm, a soft snort was heard, seemingly expressing dissatisfaction with Memorial's audacity.
Memorial playfully stuck out her tongue, and then, her expression changed because she realized that her own body was also slowly disappearing, just like the Minotaur's had been.
