463: The mysterious Vulture Peak

With a crack!

Song Zhong stepped over the threshold of the Tian Shen Temple and strode in.

After entering the Tian Shen Temple, the dilapidated scene inside was even more alarming.

The magnificent main hall had long since collapsed, and within the temple, a large number of Cthulhu monsters roamed everywhere.

The ground was covered with the corpses of India gods, and countless worms and mutated monsters were gnawing on the corpses of those gods, enjoying their feast as victors.

"Ugh! How disgusting!" Xia Simeng subconsciously covered her mouth and nose. Although she had learned about Cthulhu before, this was her first real-life encounter with Cthulhu.

"I didn't expect Cthulhu to actually launch an attack on the Tian Shen Temple. But where did the Cthulhu acquire such combat power?" Zhou Ping frowned, posing the question.

Wang Mian's face showed difficulty at this moment. "The time here has been contaminated by Cthulhu's power. I have no way to investigate the truth through [Time Reversal]."

"Let's keep looking. Perhaps there are still survivors," Athena said.

The Cthulhu monsters also noticed the intrusion of outsiders and swarmed towards them.

"Hiss, hiss, hiss!"

Countless Cthulhu monsters bared their fangs, intending to attack Song Zhong and the others.

Zhou Ping's gaze was chilling, and countless Sword Qi arrived in an instant. These Sword Qi accurately hit the Cthulhu monsters, shredding them into pieces, yet without damaging other items within the Tian Shen Temple.

The other few also took action, and soon, the Cthulhu monsters on the plaza were cleared away by Zhou Ping and the others.

"It seems things are developing in an interesting direction. The Cthulhu, it seems, also prepared a trump card."

Song Zhong checked the corpses of the gods on the plaza and found that all the gods here were merely of the God Realm.

There wasn't even a single main god. It seemed this was merely a gathering place for cannon fodder in that battle.

Song Zhong continued to walk inside, and the few followed Song Zhong's pace, going deeper.

Soon, they traversed the plaza and arrived halfway up the mountain.

The Tian Shen Temple was built according to the terrain of Mount Lingjiu. The summit of the mountain was the Holy Land of the Tian Shen Temple, and the creator gods of India mythology resided there.

The stone steps leading from the foot of the mountain to the summit were also called the Holy Road by the India gods.

But now, the Holy Road had long become ruins, with countless corpses of India gods and Cthulhu monsters lying along the way.

The tragic sight along this path shocked Athena. So far, they hadn't seen a single survivor.

Not only that, but on this "Holy Road," they also saw gods of Divine-Grade.

"Is that... the corpse of Ganesha?" Athena said in horror, looking at the corpse in front.

On the Holy Road ahead, a giant corpse of a god blocked their way. This India god had a strange appearance, with an elephant trunk on his face, and two yellowish-white elephant tusks on either side of his mouth.

However, at this moment, the condition of this corpse was terrifying. His nasal cavity was filled with Cthulhu worms, and his tusks were covered with dense holes.

"It's truly inconceivable. The number of India gods is so terrifying. How did the Cthulhu manage to do this?" Wang Mian exclaimed.

Song Zhong looked at the corpses all over the ground, then raised his head to look at the summit of Mount Lingjiu. He slowly said, "Perhaps, the answer to the problem lies there."

Judging from the distribution of corpses on the "Holy Road," the final decisive battle must have taken place on the summit, and there was a high probability of clues existing there.

The few immediately accelerated, heading towards the summit of Mount Lingjiu with all their might.

Soon, Song Zhong led the few to the summit of Mount Lingjiu.

At this moment, the snow-capped summit had already turned into scorched earth. A solitary temple, with half of it cut off, was covered inside and out with skeletons and corpses.

Indeed, Song Zhong had guessed correctly. This was the final site of the great battle.

"This..." Athena was clearly shocked by the scene before her. Looking at the astonishing number of god corpses, she couldn't help but exclaim, "The India God Kingdom, was it really destroyed?"

Song Zhong ignored the others and stepped directly over the corpses of the gods, arriving at the center of the temple.

In the center of the temple were three giant lotus thrones. That was the position of the creator gods in India mythology.

Besides the long-dead Shiva, the other two thrones belonged to Brahma and Vishnu respectively.

However, the originally sacred three lotus thrones were already disfigured. At this moment, the lotus thrones had turned pitch black, and strangely, the lotus thrones seemed to have come to life, with blackish-brown petals slowly wriggling as if breathing.

Two corpses lay on the thrones.

One of them had a golden Buddha face, split in two, covering his face. The Buddha face had a strange design; the left Buddha face smiled silently, while the right Buddha face glared with thunderous anger.

The strange mask allowed Song Zhong to instantly recognize the identity of the other party: one of the existing Supreme God of India, Vishnu, whose status was second only to Brahma.

The other corpse, however, had four faces, but strangely, three of them had been peeled off, leaving only three bloody heads.

"Brahma?"

Song Zhong looked doubtfully at the only remaining face on that corpse. The eyes on that face were round, seemingly filled with endless anger and unwillingness.

And the lotus thrones beneath them were slowly devouring their two corpses.

Song Zhong's face revealed a hint of disgust. The lotus throne, which had turned into black flesh, was actually filled with a strong aura of procreation and depravity.

Among the Cthulhu gods, the one who wielded this authority was only Hei Shan Yang, one of the Three Pillar Gods.

But hadn't Hei Shan Yang just suffered a heavy blow before? How could he recover so quickly?

At this moment, Zhou Ping and Wang Mian and the others also entered the temple.

"Lord Song Zhong, we have checked, and there are no survivors among these gods," Zhou Ping said.

Wang Mian looked at the mutated lotus throne and said in shock, "Why is the aura on this so similar to Hei Shan Yang?"

"Lord King, was Hei Shan Yang the one who orchestrated this incident?"

Song Zhong shook his head. "It was Hei Shan Yang who attacked the Tian Shen Temple, that's correct, but the one who planned this might be someone else."

Although Hei Shan Yang's abilities are very strong, his power leans more towards Chaos and disorder. Entrusting him with planning something, to be honest, is a bit difficult for Hei Shan Yang.

A flash of inspiration suddenly crossed Song Zhong's mind. When it came to cunning and wisdom, it was precisely what the other two Three Pillar Gods excelled at.

A crazy idea appeared in Song Zhong's mind: could it be that the Key of the Gate and Chaos had also revived?

"Ah!"

Just as Song Zhong was deep in thought, a sudden scream attracted everyone's attention.

"Xia Simeng?"

The sound just now was from Xia Simeng.
