464: The identity of the Cthulhu army is actually...

“Simeng, what happened?” Athena asked.

Athena was very concerned about her former agent and current colleague.

“So disgusting, so disgusting, so disgusting!” Xia Simeng shrieked, pointing at the corpse of a God.

Everyone followed her gaze and noticed that among the many corpses, one stood out.

That corpse had been pressed at the very bottom, and Xia Simeng discovered its abnormality while searching the scene.

Everyone looked and saw that a huge black feather was actually stuck in the God’s chest.

“Isn’t that just a feather? It doesn’t seem special,” Athena said, not quite understanding why a feather would cause such a strong reaction in Xia Simeng.

“No, look closely at that feather!” Xia Simeng’s voice trembled slightly.

At her reminder, everyone observed again.

This close look made everyone frown.

It turned out that the feather was composed of countless hair-thin black worms, and these worms were still crawling into the corpse.

“Cthulhu monsters are growing feathers now?” Wang Mian couldn’t help but complain, looking at the disgusting scene.

Song Zhong looked at the feather, suddenly remembering something. He walked to the corpse and extended his right hand.

Nine-colored flames automatically covered Song Zhong’s right hand like a glove.

To everyone’s astonishment, Song Zhong directly pulled the “feather” out of the corpse.

The worms attached to it sensed the abnormality and began to attack Song Zhong desperately.

However, as soon as they touched the nine-colored flames, the worms turned into ashes and fell onto the corpse.

After the worms were gone, a bare feather shaft appeared in Song Zhong’s hand.

“Lord, is there anything unusual about this feather?” Zhou Ping asked.

Song Zhong looked at the feather shaft in his hand and asked, “Did you find anything unusual about this thing?”

Hearing Song Zhong’s reminder, Zhou Ping and the others began to carefully investigate the feather shaft for any abnormalities.

“Lord, there seems to be a God’s aura on this feather shaft.”

Silver light swirled in Wang Mian’s eyes, revealing the feather shaft’s abnormality.

“Wait, I understand,” Zhou Ping said, staring at the feather shaft. “It’s not that there’s a God’s aura on this feather shaft; it’s that this feather shaft actually comes from a God.”

Zhou Ping’s words were like a thunderclap, awakening the others.

Song Zhong nodded with satisfaction. Zhou Ping, possessing the Lapis Lazuli Child's Heart, was indeed exceptionally intelligent.

“Senior Sword Saint…” Wang Mian’s expression grew even more solemn, “Gods with feathers are not common!”

At these words, Zhou Ping and Athena simultaneously fell into contemplation.

Xia Simeng glanced at everyone, stamped her foot in exasperation, and said, “Oh, don’t keep us in suspense! If you’ve found any information, hurry up and tell us!”

Wang Mian looked at Song Zhong, who nodded slightly.

After receiving Song Zhong’s approval, Wang Mian spoke slowly and deliberately, “Among the Gods that have been observed, only two possess feathers: one is Michael on the moon, and the other is Lucifer, who was cast down to Earth by Him.”

Xia Simeng’s eyes widened, then she looked at the black feather shaft in Song Zhong’s hand and said, “I understand. So, the owner of this feather shaft is Lucifer.”

Black feathers, this characteristic perfectly matched Lucifer.

“But how could Lucifer get involved with the Cthulhu?” Athena said, “When Yelande, the Heavenly God of the Heavenly Kingdom, sealed the Cthulhu back then, Lucifer was present. He knew how terrifying these monsters were.

Although this guy later rebelled against the Heavenly Kingdom and established Hell, he wouldn’t be so foolish as to collude with the Cthulhu, would he?”

Song Zhong shook his head, “That’s not necessarily true. Have you forgotten Odin, the God King of the Norse?”

“Uh…” Athena was momentarily speechless. Indeed, the Norse God King, in his desire to Breakthrough the shackles of the supreme, had inexplicably colluded with the Cthulhu.

“No, Lord, even if Lucifer colluded with the Black Goat, they alone couldn’t have annihilated the Tian Shen Temple,” Wang Mian suddenly said.

Song Zhong shook his head, “You all look again. There might be more than just this one similar feather.”

Wang Mian and the others exchanged glances and began to search everywhere.

Sure enough, many of the corpses pressed underneath had similar feathers stuck in them. However, strangely, these feathers varied in shape and color, appearing not to belong to the same God.

The few of them collected over a hundred feathers in total, then each used their abilities to clean off the Cthulhu worms attached to them.

Zhou Ping brought these bare feather shafts to Song Zhong and said, “Lord, indeed, there are many more feathers down here. However, although there are many of these feathers, based on their aura classification, they do not come from the same God.

Roughly… roughly eleven Gods appeared here.”

Zhou Ping did not have much confidence in his analysis, as this result went against common sense.

Reviewing the characteristics of Gods from various divine kingdoms, Gods with feathers, while rare, were not nonexistent. However, if one were to ask which mythological system had the most Gods with feathers, it would undoubtedly be the Heavenly Kingdom.

This divine kingdom, founded by Yelande, the most powerful God on Earth in history, had twelve Archangels during its peak.

Michael and Lucifer were among them.

However, after the battle on the moon that year, only Michael and Lucifer survived among the twelve Archangels.

Later, Lucifer rebelled and created Hell. Strictly speaking, Michael was the last Archangel of the Heavenly Kingdom.

But judging from the feathers collected at the Tian Shen Temple, if the Lord’s previous guess was true, wouldn’t that mean there were eleven other Angels besides Lucifer?

This was simply too exaggerated. Even for Gods, there was no such thing as resurrection from the dead.

Essentially, Gods were merely creatures capable of absorbing Power Of Faith and wielding Law.

“The aura of eleven angelic Gods?” Song Zhong heard Zhou Ping’s words and slowly nodded, “I think I know why the Black Goat was able to destroy the Tian Shen Temple.”

“Lord, what exactly is going on? Could it be that the ten fallen Archangels have been resurrected?” Zhou Ping asked.

“No, they are indeed dead. However, their bodies are still alive.”

Song Zhong’s words were like a bolt from the blue, deeply shocking Wang Mian, Zhou Ping, and the others.

Their bodies are still alive? What exactly is going on?
