449: Unexpected Partner

Though Medusa was afraid, she dared not show it.

If Human Realm was lost, she could die later; but if she provoked this Supreme God now, she would die immediately.

Song Zhong took out the [Salvation Banner] and gently swept it towards the torch, and the Olympus Human Realm was absorbed into the [Salvation Banner].

After doing all this, Song Zhong said indifferently, "Alright, I have obtained the item. Now, you are on your own."

A sense of crisis suddenly appeared in Medusa's heart. Although the Supreme God's face was filled with a smile, his eyes were cold, looking at her as if she were a dead person. "My Lord, didn't you just say you wouldn't kill me?"

"I promised not to kill you, but it's hard to say about her."

With that, Song Zhong moved a step to the side, revealing the figure behind him.

Only after Song Zhong moved away did Medusa see that Athena had, at some unknown point, recovered from her petrified state.

Medusa looked at the restored Athena and asked, "You... how did you recover?"

Athena stretched her body. She did not answer Medusa's question but instead asked in return:

"Do you know who that person who just came was?"

Medusa saw that Athena actually ignored her, and all the humiliation she had suffered from Song Zhong just now burst out at this moment.

"Now I'm asking you, Athena, do you think you are still that high and mighty Goddess of War?

You are now just a minor god whose authority has been stripped by the God King.

What right do you have to flaunt yourself in front of me now? Do you believe I can blow you up with one hand?"

Athena looked at Medusa with a strange gaze, with no anger in her eyes, only pity.

Her petrification was lifted the moment Song Zhong grabbed Medusa's neck.

Although the petrification ability was terrifying, Medusa was ultimately one level lower than Athena. To petrify a Divine-Grade God, Medusa needed to constantly focus her attention.

However, Song Zhong's appearance caused great harm to Medusa's fragile mind, allowing Athena to seize the opportunity and break free from the petrified state.

"If Zeus hadn't suppressed my Divine Power at the time, you wouldn't really think you could petrify me, would you?" Athena said.

Medusa's face flushed. She strongly tried to hide her embarrassment and said, "So what?

Your God Ruins has already been destroyed by the God King. What can you do to me with only Divine Power...

Ah..."

Medusa's words were not finished before she immediately let out a scream.

It turned out that Athena had already rushed in front of her and knocked her to the ground with a punch.

Medusa's nose was caved in, and her face was covered in blood.

"Athena, you're asking for death!" Medusa let out a shrill roar, and then the venomous snakes on her head opened their huge mouths, baring their fangs, and bit at Athena.

Athena's profound Divine Power erupted, and she waved her hands like the sharpest blades and axes, severing all the venomous snakes.

"Ah... my hair!" Medusa let out another pig-like squeal.

But Athena's movements did not stop. Her fists rained down like a storm, smashing onto Medusa's head and body.

"You might not be aware that the reason I became the Goddess of War is not because I can control the Law of war. Even without the power of Law, my strength is beyond your reach."

Song Zhong watched Athena unilaterally beat Medusa, and he couldn't help but sigh, truly 'like master, like servant.'

What kind of God, what kind of Proxy.

No wonder Xia Simeng admired martial prowess so much. This Athena could pin Medusa to the ground and hammer her just by relying on her physical body and Divine Power.

"Woo woo woo..."

At this moment, Medusa's face was swollen like a bun, and the teeth in her mouth had already been swallowed into her stomach, making her unable to speak.

Not long after, Medusa lay on the ground, only exhaling and no longer inhaling.

This Goddess of Curse of Olympus was thus beaten to death by Athena.

Athena wiped the blood from her hands and turned her head to look at Song Zhong.

"You are that newly promoted God from Great Xia, Song Zhong, right?"

Song Zhong smiled and nodded, "That's right. It seems you are very interested in Great Xia."

"Of course, otherwise I wouldn't be looking for a God's Proxy in Great Xia.

Although the scale of Olympus Human Realm cannot compare to Great Xia's territory, finding a Mortal with the Aptitude to become a Proxy is not difficult.

Through Kronos's connections, finding a young person with good Aptitude in Great Xia is not a difficult task." Athena said.

Song Zhong looked at Athena and asked, "You also have a connection with Kronos? He is from the Titan God Race. Aren't you afraid that Zeus will be angry with you?"

Athena shook her head, "Afraid of what? Zeus is Kronos's son!

The so-called God Race conflict is just an excuse they use to quibble. Olympus has long been rotten to its core, and Kronos and I have the same goal. Olympus, under Zeus's leadership, will only head towards destruction.

We must start a reform."

Athena's expression was very serious as she spoke her thoughts.

"So, you are Kronos's inside man left in Olympus?" Song Zhong asked.

"We are comrades with common aspirations!" Athena's gaze was firm. "He once told me that no matter what happens, I must exercise restraint and patience until a turning point appears.

When I saw you, I thought the turning point Kronos spoke of must have arrived."

Song Zhong nodded, "So Kronos had this in mind when he gave me the pocket watch. Unfortunately, at this time, he is no longer here."

Next, Song Zhong told Athena about Kronos's situation.

Hearing the news, Athena was silent for a moment, then resolutely said, "Since he has left, then let me carry on this ideal and continue to fight."

"So what are your plans for the future?" Song Zhong asked.

Athena thought for a moment and said, "The greatest crisis has now appeared. If Cthulhu is not resolved, the entire Earth will not be able to find peace.

However, the remaining God Kingdoms each have their own agendas. Both Olympus and the Tian Shen Temple have a relatively ambiguous attitude towards Cthulhu.

Currently, only Great Xia's attitude is the most resolute."

With that, Athena walked towards Song Zhong, "Please allow me to follow in your footsteps, Lord Song Zhong!

I will become the strongest shield, charging at the front lines of the battlefield."

Song Zhong looked at the Goddess of War with some surprise, not expecting her to want to join his faction.

"In that case, go to the northwest battlefield of Great Xia and show your sincerity."
