331: Chapter 331 Good news sneaks into the armory, bad news: Wang Biao leads a team to block the entrance!

Chapter 331: Good news, infiltrated the Armory; bad news, Wang Biao is leading a team to block the entrance!

The screen resumed the surveillance footage.

The surveillance footage showed the interior corridor of the Armory.

A squad of fully armed patrol soldiers was moving quickly.

The leader was a Bald Man.

His right eye was fitted with a mechanical prosthetic.

He was carrying a heavy electromagnetic rifle.

The barrel was engraved with the Oracle logo.

Wang Biao.

Oracle Technology field team leader.

Chen Mo recognized this man.

The Internal Affairs Department's database contained his file.

A retired mercenary.

Sixty percent of his organs had been replaced with military-grade cybernetics.

"They've noticed," Jiang Hong said, tightening her grip on the shotgun.

"The intrusion just now triggered the low-level defense protocols," the Old Blind Man explained.

"The entrance to the B1 level must be crawling with people now."

Ahead was a three-hundred-meter straight corridor.

It led directly to the B1 level entrance.

There was no cover in the corridor.

If the enemy set up heavy machine guns,

anyone entering the corridor would be turned into a sieve.

Retreating,

would mean mission failure.

The arm would be out of reach.

The Cold Case Unit would be shut down by the Internal Affairs Department tomorrow.

"Send the blueprints to my terminal," Chen Mo said.

He raised his right hand.

He tapped on the portable computer on his left wrist.

Blueprint loading complete.

Chen Mo zoomed in on the northwest corner of the blueprint.

An abandoned vent was marked there.

It connected to the Armory's Old Warehouse.

"We're not going through the main entrance," Chen Mo said, pointing at the blueprint.

"We'll go up from here."

"That's a fifteen-meter vertical shaft," 404 said, looking at the data scale.

"You only have one hand."

"How are you going to climb?" Fatty asked.

Chen Mo did not answer.

He turned and walked out of the control room.

He headed toward the location of the vent.

Jiang Hong followed.

Footsteps echoed within the pipes.

Five minutes later.

They stood beneath the vent.

They looked up.

The circular shaft went straight up.

The walls were smooth.

There were only a few scattered metal brackets.

Chen Mo stepped forward.

His right hand grabbed the lowest bracket.

"I'll go up first," Chen Mo said.

"I'll drop a rope from above to pull you up."

He didn't wait for Jiang Hong to object.

His right leg kicked off the wall.

His left leg coordinated.

His body pulled upward by a meter.

He grabbed the second bracket.

Sweat mingled with blood as it flowed.

His clothes clung tightly to his back.

Chen Mo closed his eyes.

[sin value balance: 5,000 points.]

He couldn't use the system.

That power needed to be saved for the upcoming battle.

Relying purely on physical strength,

his muscle fibers protested under the extreme load.

With every pull,

the stump of his left shoulder felt as if it were being cut by a knife.

Jiang Hong stood below.

Holding her gun.

Watching that figure continuously ascending.

She didn't speak.

Only the knuckles of her hand gripping the gun turned white.

404 looked up.

His breathing was rapid; he had never seen anyone be so cruel to their own body.

Chen Mo climbed to a position two meters from the top.

The last bracket snapped.

Half remained on the wall.

Half fell down.

It splashed into the stagnant water below.

Chen Mo's body hung in the air.

Only his right hand was hooked into a tiny crack in the wall.

His fingernail peeled back.

Blood ran down his finger.

The moss on the wall was very slippery.

His body began to slide down.

Deduction.

If he fell,

his legs would break.

He wouldn't be able to continue the mission.

Chen Mo's gaze locked onto the iron grate of the air outlet at the top.

It was still a meter and a half away from him.

He took a deep breath.

His legs kicked off the smooth wall with a sudden burst of power.

He let go of the crack with his right hand.

His body leaped into mid-air.

His right hand stretched upward.

His fingers spread wide.

They passed through the gaps in the iron grate.

He gripped the metal bars.

His body slammed heavily against the pipe wall.

A dull thud sounded.

He was hanging there.

Exerting force with his right hand,

he pulled his body up.

His head pushed open the iron grate.

The grate flipped over.

Chen Mo rolled into the space above.

He lay on the dust-covered iron plate.

He panted heavily.

This was the Old Warehouse.

The light was dim.

The air was thick with the smell of machine oil and anti-rust paint.

Chen Mo rolled over and sat up.

He took a roll of nylon rope from his backpack.

One end was secured to the handle of a heavy wooden crate nearby.

The other end was thrown down the vent.

"Come up," Chen Mo shouted to those below.

Ten minutes later.

Jiang Hong and 404 climbed up, bringing the fishbowl.

Fatty slumped onto the floor.

Drenched in sweat.

Chen Mo stood up.

He activated Heartbeat Localization.

Within an eight-hundred-meter radius,

dense red dots appeared.

There were at least fifty people.

They were concentrated near the main entrance of the B1 level.

Near the Old Warehouse,

there were only two red dots.

Thirty meters away from them.

At the other end of the shelves.

"There are two hidden sentries," Chen Mo lowered his voice.

He drew his tactical dagger.

He lightened his footsteps.

Using the tall shelves as cover,

he approached the targets.

Jiang Hong followed behind him.

She held her shotgun level.

They bypassed a pile of discarded mechanical arm parts.

They stopped behind a wooden crate.

Two guards were leaning against an iron door, smoking.

They were chatting about last night's explosion.

Chen Mo glanced at Jiang Hong.

He raised the stump base of his left arm,

then pointed to the right.

Jiang Hong nodded.

Chen Mo dashed out from behind the wooden crate.

The sound of his footsteps was masked by the roar of the machine room.

The guard on the left only saw a dark shadow flash by.

Chen Mo's dagger had already pierced his throat.

His right hand covered the guard's mouth,

preventing any sound.

The guard on the right drew his gun.

Just as the barrel was raised,

Jiang Hong flashed out from the other side.

The shotgun's butt slammed hard into the guard's jaw.

The mandible shattered.

The guard collapsed to the ground.

Chen Mo pulled out his dagger.

He dragged the corpse on the left into the shadows of the shelves.

Jiang Hong dealt with the guard on the right.

They searched the bodies.

They obtained a white access card.

"Security Level C," Jiang Hong said, looking at the markings on the card.

"It won't open the door to the core warehouse."

Chen Mo took the card.

He walked to the iron door.

He swiped the card.

The red light turned green.

The iron door opened.

Outside the door was a long white corridor.

The shadowless lights on the ceiling were blindingly bright.

On both sides of the corridor were glass doors.

Inside were various models of cybernetics.

This was the outer exhibition area of the Armory.

Chen Mo walked in.

His gaze swept over those metallic creations.

He was looking for a specific model.

"Wang Biao is bringing his men over," the Old Blind Man's voice sounded from behind.

"They checked the main entrance and found no intruders."

"They are dispersing to search."

Chen Mo heard rapid footsteps.

Heartbeat Localization showed

ten red dots moving quickly toward this corridor.

Distance: fifty meters.

At the corner.

Nowhere to hide.

The corridor offered no cover.

The white walls reflected light.

The footsteps drew closer.

"Retreat to the warehouse." Jiang Hong raised her gun and took a step back.

"No time," Chen Mo answered.

If they entered the warehouse, that iron door wouldn't withstand the penetration of electromagnetic rifles.

They would be caught like rats in a trap.

They had to deal with them here.

Chen Mo looked at the glass door on the left side of the corridor.

Behind this door was a testing room.

Inside stood an unactivated Heavy Riot Control Mecha.

It had thick black armor plating.

Its arms were hydraulic pincers.

Chen Mo raised his right hand.

He slammed the handle of his tactical dagger hard against the glass door.

Spiderweb cracks appeared in the tempered glass.

He delivered a kick.

The glass shattered, scattering all over the floor.

Chen Mo stepped over the doorframe and entered the testing room.

"Get in here," he ordered Jiang Hong and 404.

The two entered quickly.

404 placed the fishbowl at the mecha's feet.

Chen Mo turned.

He pressed himself against the wall beside the door.

He amplified his hearing.

The heartbeats of ten people.

Disordered.

Footsteps stopped at the corridor corner.

"There's broken glass here," a raspy voice sounded.

It was Wang Biao.

"Team One, check the rooms on the left."

"Team Two, seal off the corridor exit."

Three red dots approached the testing room.

Leather boots stepped on the broken glass,

making a crisp crunching sound.

Chen Mo gripped his dagger.

His right palm was sweating.
