153: Chapter 154 Ambition

Tong Liya dragged her sore body and pushed open the bedroom door on tiptoe.

In the faint white light of dawn, Da Mimi was facing away from the door, breathing evenly, seemingly still sound asleep.

Tong Liya let out a long sigh of relief—thank goodness she wasn't awake...

Just as she reached the bedside and was about to lie down, a warm hand suddenly reached out from behind and precisely grasped her waist.

"Ah!" Tong Liya almost cried out in alarm. "You, you weren't asleep?"

"You were out for so long, how could I possibly sleep?" Da Mimi's lazy voice carried a hint of mockery. "Our beauty Tong stayed out all night; did you go out for a secret snack?"

Tong Liya's face turned beet red instantly, and she hurriedly dove under the covers. "Don't, don't talk nonsense..."

Da Mimi rolled over and pinned her down, her fingertips tracing along her collarbone. "Tsk tsk, this hickey... don't tell me you gave it to yourself?"

She had been seen through!

Tong Liya was so embarrassed she buried her face in the pillow, only to hear Da Mimi lean into her ear, her breath hot. "How was it? How is Jiang Jing's skill?"

"You!" Tong Liya jerked her head up, meeting Da Mimi's eyes, which were sparkling with gossip.

She bit her lip and finally gave in, saying in a hoarse voice, "That guy... he's simply not human... I almost died there..."

Da Mimi's pupils dilated in shock!

"Tell me everything!" Da Mimi immediately perked up, her fingers poking restlessly at Tong Liya's waist.

Tong Liya's eyelids were fighting to stay open, but she still groggily gestured. "So big..."

"What?!" Da Mimi almost sprang off the bed. "Are you sure you're not exaggerating?"

"One hour... without stopping..." Tong Liya's voice grew quieter and quieter. "In the end, I was crying and begging him... only then did he..."

Da Mimi gasped, her legs unconsciously clamping together.

Is he even human?

He's practically a perpetual motion machine!

She wanted to ask more, but realized Tong Liya had already fallen into a deep sleep.

By the light of dawn, Da Mimi quietly lifted Tong Liya's nightgown and discovered it was indeed covered in red marks.

She gently tucked Tong Liya back in, a flame of determination burning in her eyes.

...

When sunlight spilled into the living room, the clock already pointed to eleven in the morning.

Leng Ba rubbed her sleepy eyes and dragged her feet out of the bedroom, the collar of her loose pajamas askew, revealing a glimpse of a snow-white shoulder.

She looked around groggily, seemingly not yet fully aware of where she was.

"Morning..." she mumbled vaguely, her voice thick with sleepiness.

At the dining table, Da Mimi took an elegant sip of coffee, her red lips leaving a faint mark on the rim of the cup.

Today she wore a silk camisole nightgown, her long hair loosely tucked behind her ears, exuding an air of lazy sophistication.

"Still early?" Da Mimi raised an eyebrow and pointed to the clock on the wall. "If you sleep any longer, you can go straight to dinner."

Jiang Jing sat at the other end of the dining table, heartily eating the bacon and eggs on his plate.

Tong Liya was sitting right next to Jiang Jing, appearing focused on cutting the fruit on her plate, but her eyes drifted toward Jiang Jing from time to time, her gaze so intense it seemed as if it would melt him.

When Jiang Jing's gaze met hers, she immediately blushed to the tips of her ears, yet she couldn't bear to look away.

Last night's unexpected event had clearly left her wanting more.

Da Mimi took in the interaction between the two and stomped hard on Tong Liya's foot under the table.

"Hiss—" Tong Liya let out a soft cry and glared reproachfully at Da Mimi.

Jiang Jing's lips curled slightly, and he suddenly reached under the table to grab Tong Liya's foot, which was trying to cause trouble.

Her foot was beautifully shaped, her skin as delicate as silk, with pale pink nail polish on her toenails.

Tong Liya stiffened all over, and the fork in her hand almost dropped onto the plate.

She had intended to tease Jiang Jing, but she hadn't expected him to be so bold. Now that her foot was caught, she didn't dare make any big movements, because Nazha and Zhu Xudan were walking into the living room, rubbing their eyes.

"It smells so good..." Nazha sniffed, the hem of her loose T-shirt revealing a sliver of her slender waist.

She walked groggily to the dining table and picked up a piece of toast, stuffing it into her mouth. "I'm starving..."

Zhu Xudan's state was no better; her hair was as messy as a bird's nest, and there was even a pillow mark on her bare face.

She stumbled and collapsed onto a chair, groaning weakly, "I will never drink that much again..."

Li Xibing was the last to come out, her state no better, her eyes filled with sleepiness.

"I'm dying..." she slumped on the sofa, groaning without a will to live.

Da Mimi saw this and shook her head helplessly. "Go wash up, then come back to eat."

The girls then slowly shuffled toward the bathroom.

Taking advantage of the moment they left, Jiang Jing finally released Tong Liya's foot, only to be met with a dissatisfied pout from her.

Da Mimi saw everything and couldn't help but roll her eyes. "You two, behave yourselves."

Tong Liya blushed and lowered her head to drink juice, while Jiang Jing smiled with an innocent face. "What is Ms. Mimi talking about? I don't understand."

Da Mimi snorted coldly, but inadvertently locked eyes with Jiang Jing.

Her heart suddenly skipped a beat, and the secret words Tong Liya had whispered in her ear earlier that morning involuntarily surfaced in her mind—

"Mimi, you can't even imagine how much he..."

Da Mimi quickly looked away, pretending to adjust her napkin, but she couldn't hide her reddening ear tips.

Soon, the girls returned to the dining table after washing up.

Leng Ba had changed into loungewear, her hair still dripping with water, making her look much fresher. She curiously sized up the three at the dining table. "You all got up so early."

"It's that you all got up too late." Da Mimi handed her a glass of orange juice. "Eat quickly, it's all about to get cold."

Nazha's attention, however, was focused on Tong Liya. "Sister Ya, what's wrong with your neck? It's all red."

The fork in Tong Liya's hand shook.

"A mosquito bite!" she blurted out, her voice a bit unnatural.

Jiang Jing almost laughed out loud and quickly lowered his head to drink coffee to cover it up.

Da Mimi kicked Tong Liya under the table, though her expression remained calm. "Eat quickly, it'll get cold in a moment."

Leng Ba looked suspiciously at Tong Liya, then at Jiang Jing, always feeling that something was wrong, but she couldn't quite put her finger on it.

Zhu Xudan and Li Xibing completely missed these undercurrents, focusing intently on finishing the food in front of them.

"Does President Jiang have any plans for today?" Nazha suddenly asked, her eyes sparkling.
