Chapter 393 So good! Stay for a meeting tonight!

The event continued, and the remaining awards were equally uninteresting to Jiang Jing.

Only when an exceptionally beautiful or elegant female artist occasionally went on stage to receive an award would he lift his eyelids and admire her for a few moments.

The rest of the time, he was basically lost in thought or chatting quietly with Pony Ma, appearing quite uninterested.

Finally, the tedious awards ceremony came to an end, and it entered the segment that many guests had been truly looking forward to tonight—the networking session.

After the host announced that guests were free to mingle, the atmosphere in the venue instantly became lively and subtle.

For most of the artists who didn't win awards and many business people, this was the core purpose of their trip.

Expanding one's network and getting familiar faces is an eternal theme in this circle.

Minor celebrities scrambled for opportunities to toast and greet those respected seniors or currently popular top-tier stars.

They hoped to leave a good impression, perhaps gaining an opportunity for guidance in the future.

Some ambitious artists, eager to rise to the top, locked their targets onto the heads of entertainment companies or well-known producers.

With fawning smiles on their faces and extremely flattering words, they used every trick in the book to express their "loyalty," either subtly or directly.

Their words were full of implications, all hoping that the other party would give them a chance.

The loyalty was self-evident—they were willing to pay certain prices in exchange for resources.

However, while most people in the venue were busy with various pleasantries and flattery, hardly anyone approached Jiang Jing.

Although most gazes, whether overt or covert, were focused on him, few dared to overestimate themselves and approach him to strike up a conversation.

Everyone knew that the gap in status between them and Jiang Jing was like a chasm; rashly approaching him would only result in humiliation.

All they could do was adjust their posture and expressions inadvertently, trying their best to show their best side, hoping to catch even a sliver of Jiang Jing's attention.

Jiang Jing was naturally happy to have some peace and quiet.

He had absolutely no interest in dealing with that superficial flattery and obsequiousness.

As soon as it was announced that everyone was free to mingle, he immediately picked up a drink and quietly slipped away to a quiet corner with an excellent view.

From here, he could take in most of the scene in the venue, and it was relatively secluded, making it hard to be disturbed.

He leaned against the window, leisurely sipping the slightly sweet fruit juice in his glass, and scanned the well-dressed men and women in the venue with great interest.

The live broadcast signal had already been cut off when the networking session began.

Such scenes, involving private deals and personal favors, were naturally not suitable for public display.

Seeing Jiang Jing slip away to a corner by himself, Pony Ma revealed a helpless smile.

He knew the temperament of this big shot and didn't force the issue.

He stood up and, with a smile on his face, greeted the entertainment company heads and capital representatives who were gathering around, engaging in social pleasantries with them calmly.

On the other side, Yang Mi and the other women had originally thought Jiang Jing would be surrounded by all sorts of flattering people, just like Pony Ma, but they didn't expect him to have run off here to find some peace and quiet.

They exchanged a look and then walked gracefully in that direction.

From afar, Jiang Jing saw those familiar and beautiful silhouettes walking towards him, a smile appeared on his face, and he waved at them.

Seeing him take the initiative to greet them, bright smiles blossomed on the women's faces, and they quickened their pace as they walked over.

They didn't crowd around Jiang Jing like they did in private, but instead sat down in a measured way on the sofas or high stools around him.

In this setting, they needed to maintain a sense of propriety; they wanted to show they were close to Jiang Jing without going overboard and inviting unnecessary gossip.

"Why have you all run over here? Aren't you going to expand your networks?" Jiang Jing looked at them with a smile, his tone teasing.

"What's there to expand? Nothing is as important as keeping Boss Jiang company." Yang Mi shot him a coquettish glare, her tone carrying a hint of pride.

"Why did you hide here? We thought you were going to be drowned by all those bosses." Leng Ba's tone was sweet and naive, her beautiful eyes gazing at Jiang Jing with a smile.

Jiang Jing smiled, his gaze sweeping over the women, and he exclaimed sincerely: "Dealing with them is so boring; it's better to look at you all. You all look very beautiful today."

He said this genuinely.

Compared to those female stars in the venue who were competing for attention and wished they could wear all their possessions on their bodies.

These beauties before him, each with different styles yet equally stunning, and dressed relatively modestly and appropriately, suited his aesthetic and preferences much better.

Hearing his praise, happy expressions appeared on the women's faces.

When choosing their gowns today, they had indeed tacitly given up on overly sexy or revealing styles, considering temperament and elegance more.

Subconsciously, it was to cater to someone's preferences, not wanting to make him feel displeased.

Upon hearing this, Da Mimi proudly lifted her chin slightly, her tone carrying a hint of smugness: "Of course, isn't it all to spare the face of a certain possessive guy~"

"What if we dressed too scantily and someone got uncomfortable?" As she spoke, she glanced at Jiang Jing, her eyes shimmering with charm.

Leng Ba also nodded immediately in agreement: "Exactly, exactly! My long legs didn't even get a chance to be shown off today!"

"Just like Sister Mi's secrets, they've all been hidden away!"

As she spoke, she deliberately puffed out her chest, causing Yang Mi to playfully and lightly swat her.

Jiang Jing was amused by their banter and burst into laughter, pointing at Yang Mi: "As expected of our Yang Fox, you're just so smart and sensible!"

To tell the truth, seeing them so obedient, Jiang Jing was very happy inside.

He paused, a wicked smile appearing on his face, and lowered his voice: "To reward your obedience and sensibility... hmm, stay behind tonight for a meeting together!"

As soon as these words were out, the women were stunned for a moment, and then blushes immediately rose to their cheeks.

Yang Mi glared at him in shame and annoyance, spitting: "Pah! You call this a reward? This is clearly..." She had wanted to say "licentious and unrestrained," but felt it was too embarrassing once the words reached her lips, so she couldn't bring herself to say it.

Leng Ba also blushed and playfully punched Jiang Jing: "Brother Jiang Jing, you're so bad! What kind of reward is this!"

In comparison, Tong Liya and Nazha's reactions were much calmer.

Tong Liya had been through marriage and had long since come to terms with these intimate matters, so she just pursed her lips and smiled, her eyes carrying a hint of knowing charm.

As for Nazha, she was a typical "love-struck girl"; ever since she had given her body and heart to Jiang Jing, she was almost entirely obedient to him.

Plus, having previously conspired with Leng Ba to surprise him, she was very accepting of this kind of group activity, and a hint of anticipation even flashed in her eyes.
