Chapter 341 Utterly Foolish!

The group walked down the ramp, and as they looked up, good grief, the scene outside the airport terminal was quite something.

Lee Hyun-ki was dressed in an expensive, hand-tailored suit, his hair combed meticulously, and his face was plastered with an enthusiastic smile.

He was waiting there in a grand procession with no fewer than twenty bodyguards in black and a team of assistants.

This display was truly extravagant.

Logically, given that Jiang Jing was just here for a visit, there was absolutely no need for such a massive mobilization.

Lee Hyun-ki's actions were, on one hand, intended to give Jiang Jing a "show of force," or rather, to demonstrate the massive influence of Yixing Group in South Korea.

On the other hand, it also carried an underlying sense of deterrence—as if to say, "Look, with so many of my people 'protecting' you, you can rest easy."

Watching this airport reception scene that looked like something out of a gangster movie, Jiang Jing's mouth curled slightly. Far from being nervous, a hint of amusement flashed in his eyes.

He patted the back of Lee Ji-yeon's hand, who had tensed up instantly, signaling her to relax, and then walked toward Lee Hyun-ki with an easy, composed manner.

"Young Master Li, this welcoming ceremony of yours is certainly grand." Jiang Jing smiled and took the initiative to extend his hand.

Seeing Jiang Jing so forthcoming, Lee Hyun-ki's smile grew even wider.

He hurriedly stepped forward, gripped Jiang Jing's hand tightly with both of his, and said with an exaggerated tone: "Oh! Since Mr. Jiang Jing has come to visit, this tiny welcoming ceremony is hardly enough to express our enthusiasm. A warm welcome!"

As he spoke, he secretly observed Jiang Jing's expression.

Seeing that he was smiling the whole time and being very cooperative, seemingly not dissatisfied with the "show" he had arranged, he felt even more reassured.

In his view, Jiang Jing had now stepped onto his turf and was like a turtle in a jar—he could manipulate him however he pleased, so there was no need to panic.

In a great mood, Lee Hyun-ki's gaze inadvertently swept over Lee Ji-yeon, who was following closely by Jiang Jing's side with a submissive, bird-like demeanor.

Remembering her as the primary contributor to the success of this plan, he couldn't help but cast a look of appreciation at her.

However, to his surprise, Lee Ji-yeon seemed to have absolutely no reaction to his look, as if she hadn't seen it at all.

All of her attention was firmly locked onto Jiang Jing, and the love and reliance in her eyes were so thick they were almost inseparable.

Lee Hyun-ki was stunned for a moment, then sneered inwardly: "This woman, her acting skills are getting better and better!"

"So deep into character, still playing the part of the devoted lover? Fine, that makes it easier to keep Jiang Jing stable."

He didn't take Lee Ji-yeon's abnormal behavior too much to heart, assuming it was just a performance she was putting on to make the mission more realistic.

"Mr. Jiang Jing, I have already prepared a welcome banquet for you. It's at the level of a state banquet, the highest standard in South Korea!"

"Please, you must do me the honor. Let me properly play the host and take you to experience the food and culture of South Korea!" Lee Hyun-ki withdrew his thoughts, enthusiastically draped his arm around Jiang Jing's shoulder, and prepared to lead him to the waiting motorcade.

Hearing the words "state banquet," Jiang Jing's mouth twitched imperceptibly, and he silently complained to himself:

"I hope this so-called state banquet isn't just a table full of colorful... kimchi having a meeting?"

The group arrived at a luxurious banquet hall, which appeared to have been booked out by Lee Hyun-ki.

Inside the magnificent banquet hall, the giant round table was filled with exquisite dishes.

Jiang Jing scanned the table, feeling a secret sense of relief.

Although there were still a few plates of brightly colored kimchi at the corner of the table, used as side dishes to cleanse the palate, the main courses were the real deal.

Sizzling Korean beef, succulent seafood platters, fragrant ginseng chicken soup, and various rare delicacies that he couldn't name but looked expensive.

At least it wasn't a kimchi convention.

Lee Hyun-ki sat in the main seat, seemingly in an excellent mood. He frequently raised his glass to toast Jiang Jing, savoring the food with a beaming smile.

After three rounds of drinks and five courses of food, Lee Hyun-ki felt the timing was about right. He set down his wine glass and asked, seemingly casually:

"Since Mr. Jiang Jing has come from afar to handle some private matters, if there is anything you need help with, just say the word. In this little patch of South Korea, our Yixing Group still has some say."

This remark was meant to be polite. According to his script, Jiang Jing should have politely declined, and then he could have smoothly introduced other topics, such as discussing technical cooperation.

However, Jiang Jing's reaction was beyond his expectations.

Jiang Jing smiled, picked up a napkin to wipe the corner of his mouth, and said quite naturally: "Alright, since Chairman Li is so enthusiastic, then I won't stand on ceremony. There is indeed something I'd like to trouble Chairman Li with."

The title "Chairman Li," like the most wonderful words, instantly made Lee Hyun-ki overjoyed.

The smile on his face became three parts more sincere.

Although he was only the third son, he desperately craved sitting on the chairman's throne at every moment.

Jiang Jing's use of the title "Chairman" hit the mark perfectly, making him find Jiang Jing much more pleasing to the eye.

"Mr. Jiang is too polite! Just tell me what it is! Given our relationship, as long as it's something I, Lee Hyun-ki, can help with, I will absolutely not refuse!"

He patted his chest, his tone passionate and stirred, as if Jiang Jing were his lifelong friend, ready to go through fire and water for him.

Jiang Jing chuckled inwardly, but kept a straight face. He pointed to Lee Ji-yeon, who was sitting quietly beside him, and said:

"Actually, it's not a big deal. It's just that Ji-yeon misses her sister very much and hopes to see her this time."

"If it's convenient, I'd like to take her back to the Dragon Kingdom to live, so the sisters can be reunited and look out for each other."

Lee Hyun-ki's hand, holding the wine glass, paused slightly, and a flash of astonishment crossed his face.

He hadn't expected that Jiang Jing would go through so much trouble to come to South Korea, and that his so-called "private matter" was actually just for a woman?

Oh, no, wait, it was for two women!

Just for Lee Ji-yeon and that sister of hers who was controlled by the group?

A surge of indescribable disdain instantly flooded Lee Hyun-ki's heart.

In the eyes of these chaebol heirs, women were nothing more than playthings, tools, and chess pieces to be discarded at any time.

To do all this for a woman, especially for the sister of an insignificant woman...

This Jiang Jing was simply utterly foolish!

Blinded by lust!
