The next morning arrived like a whisper.

The Vampire Realm was quiet again—unnaturally so. No horns. No movement outside the castle walls. Just the soft flutter of crimson banners brushing against ancient stone, and the hush of air thick with leftover power. The aftermath of a god’s awakening.

Lucifer stirred.

His eyes snapped open, glowing red.

Fully awake.

He exhaled once. Then sat up.

No pain.

Lucifer swung his legs off the side of the bed and stood—bare feet on cold stone.

He kissed her.

Just closed the distance and kissed her.

Ella froze—but only for a second.

Then she melted into it.

Her hands slid up his back, into his hair. Their bodies pressed close. Heat flared between them—sharp, real, impossible to ignore. His hand came to the small of her back, pulling her flush to him.

She gasped against his lips.

Lucifer moved slowly. Deliberate. Like he wasn’t rushing it—just savoring it.
