Lucifer doubled over, clutching his chest as something deep inside him twisted. His veins lit up beneath his skin, glowing crimson like fire trapped in glass. His knees hit the tiles. He gasped. It felt like his blood was boiling, like his body was being remade from the inside out.

"Nghh—what the hell...!"

His back arched. His muscles tightened. His bones cracked—not breaking, but shifting, stretching. He felt his spine lengthen, his limbs reshaping. Taller. Leaner. Stronger.
