Chapter 60: Lucifer’s Turn 1Ruka hovered in the air, Spirit Blade humming with light.

Below him, the battlefield was a massacre.

And still... more came.

But this time—something was off.

The next group wasn’t just fodder. They weren’t the twitchy half-breeds or blood-hungry street-level wolves. No. These ones stepped with weight. With presence. The kind that made the air feel thicker.

Elder.

You could tell from the way the others moved around them. Clearing space. Lowering heads. Holding their breath.

And at the center of the advancing group—

Drax.

His boots crunched glass as he walked through the corpses. Unbothered. His hands in his pockets.

Behind him, more figures appeared—each from a different direction.



Three vampires, cloaked in tattered robes and lined with old tattoos glowing faintly across pale skin. Each one carried a different weapon—scythe, chained sickles, and a bone-like blade that vibrated with death energy.

From the opposite end, four Omega-class werewolves emerged. Massive. Almost bestial. Their forms bulked out with raw muscle, claws dragging against the pavement, eyes glowing yellow. Each came from a different clan. You could see it in their fur. Different styles. Different battle scars.

The battlefield fell still again.

Ruka slowly descended, landing on top of a wrecked delivery van. The Spirit Blade dimmed, but didn’t retract. His wings folded halfway behind his back, twitching as his gaze fixed on Drax.

Then—one of the Omegas charged.

Too fast for its size. A blur of black fur and fury. The pavement cracked under its sprint.

Ruka dropped low, blade ready.

But—

WHOOSH.

A hand appeared from the side.

A clean smack.

The Omega didn’t even get a growl out before it was swatted away like a gnat.

It flew into the side of a building—BOOM—stone shattered, and the creature was half-buried in rubble, unconscious. Maybe dead.

The dust hadn’t even settled yet when a voice came, smooth and calm.

"No need to waste your energy, Ruka."

Lucifer.

He stepped out of the smoke, hands in his pockets, eyes glowing that devilish gold. Blood clung to his sleeves, not his face. Not a single scratch on him.

He walked past Ruka casually, like it was a stroll in the park, and stopped between the two sides.

Then he smiled.

A slow, lopsided, shit-eating smirk.

And said—

"It’s about time we wrapped this up, yeah?"

He cracked his neck, rolled his shoulders, and then—louder this time—

"All Omegas. All Elders. Every blood-hungry mutt and fanged geezer in the lot—"

He paused.

Then said it.

"It’s time to get EXTERMINATED."

Wind howled.

From every direction, they came.

Elders flared their auras, their power radiating like ancient storms. Omega-class wolves howled and charged. Magic circles lit up the sky. Blades gleamed. Claws flashed.

And Lucifer—

He grinned wider.

Behind him, Anita burst into view again—blood all over her arms, swinging a blade shaped like a crescent moon. She let out a sharp laugh as she sliced through a rogue vampire.

"Yo, Lu!" she shouted. "You calling dibs on the fun?"

Lucifer tilted his head. "Nah. Everyone gets a piece."

A thud behind them. Alessia had arrived, black coat flapping, with dual pistols spinning.

"New weapon."

Ruka stepped down from the van slowly, wings folding back.

Drax tilted his head.

"I thought you were just a pretty face," he said to Lucifer, voice like gravel wrapped in silk. "Didn’t know you had teeth."

Lucifer chuckled. "You’re about to find out I bite hard, old man."

The first clash came fast.

Two Omega wolves leapt at Lucifer from both sides—big, fast, foaming. One had glowing runes carved into its arms. The other had metal claws.

Lucifer raised one hand.

BOOM.

A column of golden light erupted beneath them. Both wolves were vaporized. No drama. No scream.

An Elder with a scythe tried to jump Anita.

She turned without looking, sliced upward, and the scythe split in two.

The Elder paused—surprised—then tried to counter.

Too late.

Anita was already inside his guard, laughing as she slid her blade across his neck in a clean, horizontal line.



His head hit the ground a beat later.

Alessia snapped her fingers.

Click—BOOM.

One of her bullets hit a charging wolf in the chest. The bullet exploded—spiritual detonation—and blew a hole straight through the beast.

She didn’t stop moving. Spun once, fired again.

CRACK.

A vampire elder lost his arm.

Then Ruka moved again.

Toward Drax.

The air between them felt like it cracked. Every step Ruka took was met with a mirrored one from Drax.

They didn’t run.

They walked.

Then—

CLASH.

Blade against bone.

Drax blocked Ruka’s Spirit Blade with his bare arm—bare skin. Not a scratch. Ruka’s eyes narrowed. Drax grinned, fangs showing.

He pushed, throwing Ruka back three steps.

Ruka adjusted. Wings expanded again. His Spirit Blade shifted—thinner, sharper.

Drax pulled out a long, curved blade—black metal, dripping shadow.

Then they vanished.

Only flashes of light and bursts of air marked their fight.

One hit from Drax crushed a car behind Ruka. One parry from Ruka sliced through a billboard thirty meters away.

It wasn’t a flashy fight. It was sharp. Deadly. Precise. Like two animals that knew how to kill.

Ruka twisted in mid-air, flipped over Drax, and tried to stab downward.

Drax caught the blade with one hand—again—and grinned.

"Cute toy," he whispered.

Ruka flared his wings—drove his knee into Drax’s jaw.

The elder stumbled—just a second.

Ruka kicked him midair and sent him skidding across the asphalt.

Drax recovered fast, flipped, and landed in a crouch.

His smirk returned.

"You’ve got bite too," he said. "Good. Let’s see how deep it goes."

He lifted both arms.

Magic flared.

Shadowy chains erupted from the ground, trying to grab Ruka.

But Ruka was already above them, wings pulsing with silver light.

He threw the Spirit Blade like a spear—it split into five copies, spinning midair.

Drax dodged three. The fourth grazed his side. The fifth stabbed through his foot.

He growled and ripped it out.

Ruka landed hard and raised both hands.

The blades flew back to him like boomerangs, reforming into one.

"You’re better than I expected," Drax said.

Ruka didn’t answer. Just stared.

Then—

Lucifer appeared beside him.

Still calm. Still smirking.

"You done playing with your food?" Lucifer asked.

Ruka exhaled. "You want him?"

Lucifer looked at Drax, tilting his head.

"Nah," he said. "We’ll share."

The wind picked up again.

All around them, the Elders and Omegas were getting overwhelmed.



Anita danced through corpses.

Alessia’s bullets never missed.

And Ruka’s blade kept glowing brighter.

Lucifer turned toward the remaining enemy forces.

The battlefield trembled.

And he said one more thing—

"Last warning."

"Run... or get killed."

And this time—some of them did run.

The smart ones.

The rest?

Too slow.
