Chapter 94: Teemah Is Here For RukaLucifer stopped mid-step. A voice cut through the air like a sharp, playful tune, and soaked in venom.

"And where do you think you’re going?"

He turned slowly.

A man stood at the far edge of the roof, hands in his pockets, posture relaxed like he had all the time in the world. His red hair burned like fire under the blood-washed sky, and his crimson eyes gleamed with lazy amusement.

Lucifer knew immediately.

"You must be Daniel."

The man grinned. Wide. Too wide.

"The one and only."

His eyes flicked to Lucifer’s fangs, the dark veins under his skin, the dried blood on his hands.

"Huh. A vampire. Of course. Mother always had strange tastes."

Lucifer’s jaw tensed.



Daniel’s gaze drifted to the side, to where Vina lay curled on the rooftop, still shaking, still clutching her chest.

He whistled low.

"Look what you did to poor Vina. Brutal. Savage. Unforgiving. You definitely inherited Mother’s wrath."

Lucifer’s eyes darkened.

"Stop saying that."

Daniel blinked, then raised a hand to his ear in mock confusion. "What? The ’mother’ part? Or the ’little brother’ bit?"

That was it.

Lucifer moved.

A blur of shadows. A rush of blood and fury. He was across the rooftop in an instant, hand pulled back to strike—

But Daniel was gone.

Air.

Lucifer’s hand cut through nothing.

Then—

"Tsk tsk," Daniel said casually, now sitting on a low ledge on the opposite side of the roof, legs crossed like he was watching a sunset. "So predictable."

Lucifer turned, eyes blazing. His fists clenched tight.

Daniel looked up at the tear in the sky, the red rift still bleeding into the heavens.

"You see that? That little rip? That’s the beginning of the end. Beautiful, isn’t it? Like a painting made of screams."

He stretched his arms out to the city below, to the chaos and bloodshed unfolding.

"Look at them. Running. Crying. Screaming. Humans. So fragile. So loud when they die."

His voice dipped, colder.

"They burn easy. Break even easier. And you—" he turned back to Lucifer, eyes narrow, voice dripping contempt, "—you grew up among them. No wonder you’re so soft."

Lucifer didn’t answer.

Daniel stood slowly, brushing invisible dust from his coat.

"You know, I was expecting more. The infamous Lucifer. Mother’s second son. The shadow child. The mistake." He grinned again. "And yet, here you are. Still bleeding like the rest of them. Still trying to protect mortals who wouldn’t hesitate to burn you at the stake if they knew what you were."

Lucifer’s shadow twitched.

Daniel took a step closer.

"You could’ve been more. You could’ve ruled. You could’ve joined me. But no. You built a clan. With humans. Witches. Werewolves. You’re clinging to the broken pieces of a world that doesn’t want you."

The rooftop trembled as Lucifer’s aura began to rise. The shadows around his feet writhed. The blood on his hands shimmered with faint red light.

"You don’t know anything about me," he said, voice low and tight.

Daniel tilted his head. "Don’t I? I know the fear. I know the loneliness. I know the fire under your skin. I’ve felt it. I’ve embraced it. And it made me stronger. It made me this."

He motioned to himself like he was royalty.

Lucifer didn’t move.

Daniel’s grin widened.

"But you? You’re still hiding. Still pretending to be one of them."



He gestured to the sky again. "And while you play protector, the world ends around you."

Lucifer’s eyes burned as the wind curled around them, shadows flickering across the rooftop like restless ghosts.

"Who says I’m protecting anyone?" he said coldly, stepping forward. "I’m just trying to preserve my home. Something you would never understand."

Daniel chuckled—soft at first, then louder. It echoed across the rooftop like a slow clap of thunder. His red eyes sparkled with malice.

"That’s because my home doesn’t need protecting."

He stepped onto the ledge of the building, arms out slightly like he was embracing the chaos that raged below. His voice dropped, laced with something darker.

"I’m not here for talk, little brother."

Lucifer stiffened.

Daniel turned, the grin fading from his face.

"I’m here for blood."

The clouds above groaned as the tear in the sky pulsed again, bathing the rooftop in eerie red light.

"I’m here to kill you..." Daniel said, eyes narrowing, "and the other one. Ruka."

He dropped from the ledge and landed on the cracked rooftop floor without a sound.

"To be done with all of this," he continued, "to clean up Mother’s mess."

He said the word like poison, and it hit Lucifer like a slap.

Daniel took another step, his voice low and cutting.

"She left behind two mistakes. I’m just the one sent to erase them."

Lucifer didn’t flinch, but his jaw clenched. The wind picked up again, howling like the storm was listening.

"You really think I’ll let you do that?" he asked.

Daniel smiled like the question was amusing. "You don’t have a say in it. This ends tonight. You, Ruka—"

He raised a hand, letting blood drip from his fingertips. It hovered in the air like it had a mind of its own, pulsing with heat and pressure.

"Both of you are stains on the Origin name. I’m here to wipe them clean."

Lucifer’s aura flared, dark red veins pulsing under his skin as the rooftop shook beneath them.

Then he smiled.

"Then come and try."

Elsewhere

Ruka’s fist burst through another ghoul’s chest, his flames bursting out the back in a plume of smoke and light. The creature’s body collapsed in a mess of sizzling bone and gore.

Next to him, Temmy leapt from a broken rooftop, landing hard on the back of a lizard-like horror. Her chains wrapped around its throat like nooses, yanking tight until its spine cracked and it stopped moving.

Ruka’s body was already bruised and bleeding, his arms scorched from overuse. But his breath stayed steady. His red eyes locked ahead, burning.

"We’re getting close," he said through his teeth.

Temmy nodded, her face streaked with blood. "I feel them."

She paused. "Two. Maybe three."

That’s when the air shifted.

A low hum, almost like music, rang through the space.



Ruka stopped.

Temmy’s chains coiled tighter around her arms instinctively. "You feel that?"

Before Ruka could answer, something landed in front of them with a soft thud.

She wasn’t a monster.

She was worse.

A tall woman, hair like coiled ink, wings of deep violet folded behind her. She wore a dark coat that shimmered with runes, and her eyes—sly and bored—rested on Ruka.

Teemah.

"Hello, boys and girl," she said, smiling like it was just another day. "Sorry, you’re not going any farther."

Ruka stared at her.

Temmy blinked. "Who the hell are you?"

Teemah rolled her neck, her succubus wings spreading just a little as she floated an inch above the ground.

"Name’s Teemah," she said casually. "And I’m here for him."
