Chapter 74: Dark RemuThe sun hung high above, casting soft light over the open clearing where Lucifer and Ruka clashed, their movements swift, precise, and loud with impact. Dust kicked up from the ground with each strike and dodge, their sparring echoing like thunder across the sacred grounds.

A short distance away, Francisca sat cross-legged under a crystal sakura tree, breathing slowly as golden wisps of energy flowed into her body. Her two shimmering fox tails twitched as her aura flickered—heavenly energy wrapping around her like gentle flames, pushing her toward that next evolution... the third tail.

Standing tall, watching everything with a sharp, calculating gaze, was Vulpina. Six majestic tails danced behind her in sync with the wind, her fox ears alert to every movement. Her voice occasionally cut through the sounds of combat and chanting.

"Francisca, steady your breath. Don’t force it."

"Lucifer, your left side is exposed."

"Ruka, keep your feet lighter—he’s baiting your weight shift."

Despite the calm control she projected, she never let her guard down.

And then—everything changed.

Out of nowhere, three shimmering threads tore through space and pierced the air like bolts of lightning—silent, clean, deadly. One struck Lucifer, another Ruka, and the last coiled around Francisca.

WHOOSH!

Before Vulpina could react, they were gone—ripped from the realm in the blink of an eye.



"No!"

She lunged forward, catching nothing but air. Her claws sliced through mist. Her daughter... her student... her sparring warriors—gone.

Vulpina’s heart raced. No normal spell could bypass her senses like that.

She spun around, voice sharp and commanding.

"All Kitsunes in the Williams mansion—track them! I want the location of that spell, the origin point, and the caster. Now!" Her voice echoed like a roar through the trees as energy exploded around her.

Across the city, inside a secluded underground training chamber where the air was thick with the scent of sweat, stone, and the metallic sting of blood, Angel was panting heavily. Her knuckles were red and raw, but her eyes burned with frustration.

Opposite her stood Boris—calm as ever, towering like a mountain with his arms crossed.

"You’re angry again," he said plainly.

"I know," she muttered, shaking with effort. "I can’t stop it."

Boris took a step forward, his voice low. "Don’t stop it. Control it. Let it burn, but don’t let it break you."

Angel growled, her eyes beginning to shift, fangs poking through her lips. Her transformation was near.

Just then, Ken stumbled in from the other end of the room, laughing. He had been sparring with two of the older werewolf elders outside and came back sweaty and bruised but grinning.

"You done yelling at her, Boris? Or should I come back later?" he teased.

But before either could answer—

Three shimmering threads tore into the room.

One shot straight at Angel, hitting her in the stomach. The second coiled around Ken’s leg. The third snaked through the air and latched onto Boris’s shoulder—but it bounced off, dissolving.

Boris’s eyes snapped open.

"ANGEL—KEN!"

But he was too late.

They vanished.

No sound. No warning. No trace.

Boris let out a guttural roar that shook the entire room. His claws extended, eyes glowing. "FIND THEM!!!"

Meanwhile—

Inside the ancient halls of the Bloodline Sanctum, Ella was standing quietly with her eyes closed. Around her, runes glowed softly, pulsing with blood energy.

Opposite her stood Lady Miran, one of the oldest bloodweavers of the vampire clan, calmly observing.

"You must feel the blood," Miran said softly. "Not just your own, but the blood of everything around you. The heartbeat of the world."

Ella nodded, letting her senses expand, her aura faintly crimson.

Then—

The room shattered.

Not literally—but spiritually. A thread of unnatural power slashed into the space, grabbing Ella by the chest and pulling.

Lady Miran’s eyes flared. She jumped forward in a blur—hand extended—but she only caught the edge of Ella’s cloak.

Ella vanished.

Miran stood frozen. Then she turned sharply.



"Guardians! Activate the blood map. Someone’s taken her."

And at the exact same moment, in all corners of the world—at the mansion, in the mountains, the training grounds, the sanctums—an unspoken alarm passed between them all.

Something had begun.

Someone was pulling their strongest into another realm.

And none of them had a choice.

Remu’s Pocket Dimension

A crimson sky loomed over a bleak, endless wasteland. Cracked stone ground stretched in every direction, twisted like a battlefield forgotten by time. Black spires pierced the air, radiating a silent malice, and the scent of sulfur hung faintly in the wind.

In the middle of it all stood Remu—her long coat flapping gently, eyes wild and glowing faintly red. At her side, a dark grimoire hovered, pages turning on their own, symbols flickering with corrupt power.

Across from her stood the others—Ella, Mob, Ken, Angel, Francisca, Temmy, and Ruka—confused, tense, and on edge.

And behind them... Lucifer.

Remu’s eyes locked on him like a curse.

"So you all finally showed up," Remu said, her voice calm but brittle—like glass about to crack. "Perfect. You’re all here."

Her gaze swept across them, but she only truly looked at one person.

"In the beginning, it was the six of us. Me, Mob, Ken, Angel, Francisca, and Ella. Lucifer just... tagged along. He was never really part of us. And then he turned into that bloodsucking parasite and suddenly—he was everything. All I ever heard was Lucifer this, Lucifer that," she sneered, her voice rising.

"None of you even looked at me anymore. You didn’t care. You didn’t listen." Her eyes shimmered—not with tears, but with raw fury. "It was like Remu never existed!"

She took a step forward.

"Well... I’m done being ignored. Today, I erase the problem. I remove Lucifer... and maybe then, things will go back to how they should’ve been.

Ella stepped forward, her voice soft but firm. "Remu, we never forgot you. We’ve been looking everywhere. Your mom... she’s been a wreck. She cried every night."

Remu flinched slightly. Just for a moment. But the fury returned instantly.

"Don’t talk to me about her," she hissed. "She only cared after I disappeared. Not before."

Temmy raised a hand cautiously. "I was actually coming to get you, you know. For your mom. I tracked your presence right before you pulled us in here. If you had waited five more minutes—"

Remu’s laughter cut her off. Harsh. Empty.

"Save it, Temmy. You were always just... there. You don’t matter. None of you ever did—not compared to him."

She jabbed a finger at Lucifer.

Angel’s body shook subtly. Her fists clenched so tightly her knuckles turned white, fangs twitching in her mouth. But before the rage could explode, Ken stepped closer and gently placed a palm on her back.

He whispered a calming sutra under his breath, voice steady like flowing water.

"Breathe, sis... In through the nose. Let it go."

A faint glow surrounded Angel’s chest as her shoulders dropped ever so slightly, though her eyes still burned.

Mob watched quietly, eyes narrowing. He didn’t speak. Neither did Francisca, who stood with her arms folded, tail flicking uneasily.

They both saw it.

She wasn’t the same.

Not just emotionally—but spiritually.

Dark tendrils of corrupted energy curled around Remu’s boots. The floating grimoire beside her pulsed, almost alive. Its cover—stitched in something like charred leather—bore unfamiliar sigils that leaked black smoke.

Lucifer tilted his head slightly. "That book... where did you get it?" His tone was calm. Too calm.



Ruka’s brows furrowed. "That’s demon energy. That’s not something you just find."

Remu’s smirk widened. "Wouldn’t you like to know, vampire?"

Her voice dripped with venom as she spat the word.

"Everything fell apart the moment you turned. You ruined everything. You took them from me. You made me disappear."

She raised a hand and the grimoire floated upward, its pages flipping faster. The energy in the air shifted. Heavy. Dark. Suffocating.

"And now... I’ll do the same to you."

The execution ground cracked beneath their feet as the dimension responded to Remu’s rising power.

The others prepared for what was coming, but no one said a word.

They all knew—

This wasn’t the Remu they once knew.

And if they didn’t stop her soon...

There might not be anything left of her to save.
