210: Chapter 210 She seduced you, so you went for it?
Every word Lin Fan uttered was like a knife picking at Yang Ningcong's thinnest layer of pride—he didn't cut much, but every single stroke drew blood.
Yang Ningcong's chest heaved violently as he stared dead at that tattered tent, his eyeballs nearly bulging out of their sockets.
Yet he didn't make a single sound.
Having a knife pressed against him was one thing, but humiliation burning away his reason was entirely another.
He didn't dare turn his head to curse Lin Fan, because the blade was pressed right against his flesh.
All of his resentment, embarrassment, and humiliation were tallied entirely onto the head of the man named Wang Laoliu down on the beach at that very second.
A long dozen or so minutes passed.
The waves rolled away the white foam on the beach and pushed it back up, back and forth.
The three bodyguards stood in the wind with aching legs, exchanging glances out of the corners of their eyes from time to time.
Not a single one of them dared to look up, terrified that the gun might accidentally go off.
Finally, that piece of canvas stopped swaying.
After a moment, a large, calloused hand pulled aside the cloth curtain, and Wang Laoliu walked out hunched over.
His upper body was bare, his muscles glistening with grease and sweat.
Then, he unhurriedly fastened his rough belt, casually grabbed a dirty piece of clothing hanging outside the wooden board, wiped the sweat from his face and chest haphazardly, and tossed the fabric onto the nearby sheet-metal wreckage.
Emerging right behind him was Meng Tiantian.
All the buttons on her clothes were misaligned, and the crumpled fabric clung tightly to her body.
Her hair was as messy as a clump of grass, and her face was mottled and messed up by tears and sweat.
As soon as she stepped out of the tent, she began to sob, her legs too weak to walk straight. She shrank directly into the shadow of the yacht wreckage, not daring to cast a single glance up the ramp from start to finish.
Wang Laoliu didn't even turn his head.
He walked over to a pile of sand, flipped up half a bottle of mineral water with his toe, unscrewed the cap, took two gulps, swished it around in his mouth, and spat it out onto the sandy ground.
Having done all this, Wang Laoliu turned around, his eyes locking onto the middle section of the ramp.
Across the fifty-meter distance, he saw the situation up above crystal clear: the pistol in Lin Fan's hand, the dagger pressed against the leg, and Yang Ningcong's face of mixed red and blue.
Wang Laoliu stopped thirty meters away from the ramp entrance.
He wiped the water stains from the corner of his mouth, just about to raise his voice to bargain with the young man who had seized control above.
Before Lin Fan could even open his mouth to bring up the conditions for supplies—
Yang Ningcong's anger, suppressed for a full twenty minutes, directly burst through his skull.
"Wang Laoliu! What the fuck are you?!"
Spit flew wildly in the wind, and Yang Ningcong's face was twisted out of all recognition.
"You're just a dog bought and paid for by the Yang Family, and you dare touch my people! Who gave you the guts to mess with Meng Tiantian?"
"Once we get back, I'll make a eunuch out of you, so you know whose woman can't be touched."
His eyes were bloodshot, and at this moment, the once lofty scion of a wealthy family looked like a street thug throwing a tantrum, shaking out every venomous vocabulary word he had.
"You fucking lowlife who just takes money to do tasks! Not only will I turn you into a eunuch, but when we get back, I'll have people deal with your entire family! I'll cut off your bloodline!"
Wang Laoliu stood on the sandy ground, in no rush to talk back.
A man like him had seen too many employers lose their minds.
Some people would wet their pants in front of gun barrels, only to turn around and curse the security detail for being unprofessional.
Some people would cry and call for their fathers when kidnapped, and the first thing they'd do after being ransomed was complain that the rescue team dirtied their family's carpet.
Yang Ningcong was precisely that type.
But no matter how rotten, he was still the financial backer.
Wang Laoliu raised a hand and wiped the water stain off his chin.
"Young Master Yang, I own up to this matter. My zipper was loose."
He lowered his posture a bit; no matter what, Yang Ningcong still had the Yang Family behind him. "But I have to explain, I wasn't the one who initiated it with her."
Up on the ramp, Yang Ningcong was so angry that his shoulders were shaking.
"You fucking dare quibble?"
"I'm not quibbling."
Wang Laoliu glanced at Meng Tiantian, who was hiding in the shadow of the wreckage.
Meng Tiantian had curled up into a ball, burying her head and not daring to raise it.
"Yesterday after you were taken up, this little beauty was scared to death, crying and making a fuss begging me to protect her."
Wang Laoliu spoke as if it were the absolute truth, without blushing in the slightest.
"She said if you died, she'd be done for when she went back. And she said that brat behind you had a gun, so if she wanted to live, she could only rely on me."
Meng Tiantian, listening from behind, couldn't quite hear everything Wang Laoliu had said clearly.
Wang Laoliu continued, "Young Master Yang, you've seen what the situation is like on this island. Your people aren't around, so it's completely normal for a woman like her to look for backing."
"She threw herself at me, and I couldn't hold back."
"What I did wasn't honorable. When we go back, if you want to punish me, I accept it."
He spoke it too smoothly.
So smoothly that the three bodyguards below couldn't help but glance at each other.
This dog of a thing had an even steadier skill at lying with his eyes open than his marksmanship.
Yang Ningcong panted for a long while, his brain thoroughly scrambled by this narrative.
He knew very well what kind of person Meng Tiantian was.
Acting pure online, but in private, she understood how to latch onto powerful thighs better than anyone.
The day they boarded the ship, she even proclaimed in front of a crowd that she admired responsible men the most, only to turn around and ask him if the bag she wanted could come with matching diamonds.
To say that she actively seduced Wang Laoliu just to seek protection—
It wasn't entirely outside the realm of possibility, but he just couldn't swallow this anger.
Especially with Lin Fan standing right next to him, and especially with the three bodyguards watching from below.
Yang Ningcong gritted his teeth, "She seduced you, so you went for it?"
Wang Laoliu didn't speak.
Yang Ningcong cursed even more harshly, "Then if a stray dog runs over from the beach later and wags its tail at you, are you going to drop your pants for it too?"
One of the bodyguards below almost failed to hold back a laugh.
He quickly lowered his head, pretending to look at his shoes.
The flesh on Wang Laoliu's face twitched.
Those words were too vicious.
Standing on the ramp, Lin Fan had listened for a long time, and his patience was running out.
He wasn't here to listen to a wealthy scion interrogate a lover's infidelity.
Nor was he interested in watching a mercenary and a minor internet celebrity shift blame onto each other.
On this island, who slept with whom, who betrayed whom, and who cried again had less value than half a bottle of clean water.
Lin Fan tapped Yang Ningcong's thigh with the back of his blade.
"That's enough."
Yang Ningcong turned his head, his eyes frighteningly red.
Lin Fan paid him no mind.
He looked toward Wang Laoliu on the beach.
"I don't have time to judge your domestic disputes."
The sea breeze blew the scattered grass on both sides of the ramp wildly. Standing at the high vantage point, Lin Fan kept his gun leveled and the knife pressed against Yang Ningcong.
This position was very comfortable.
If the people below wanted to charge up, they would have to cover a certain distance.
There was no cover in between.
Wang Laoliu understood this as well, which was why he hadn't moved forward.
Lin Fan spoke, "Wang Laoliu, I can return Yang Ningcong to you."
