357: Chapter 357 This is called contrast! This is called the desire to conquer!
The other few looked at each other, not knowing who Lin Fan was talking about.
Zhou Kai looked at Lin Fan. "Brother Fan, you aren't talking about those two women, are you?"
"Those two chicks do have some combat skills, but that damn foreigner has over sixty men in total, and all of them are holding AKs. Even if those two grew three heads and six arms, they couldn't beat that many people, could they?"
Lin Fan didn't answer, turning around and walking toward the compartment deep inside the Karst Cave.
...
The sun rose and the moon fell, and a full week passed.
The camp on the beach had expanded by a circle.
Hall's subordinates were terrible at fighting, but when it came to not starving, they were quite good at hunting.
Down below, they had wild boar paired with wine, but up on the cliff top, life wasn't nearly as comfortable.
Kaman took half the men up to the cliff top and guarded it for a full seven days.
That so-called escape route was completely cut off once they reached the cliff top.
Instead, because they were at the edge of the woods, venomous mosquitoes bit their faces all over with large welts. When the sea breeze blew at night, due to the high elevation, it was so cold that their bones ached.
This life was simply not fit for humans.
On the beach, Hall sat on a reef, holding a stainless steel flask in his hand and tilting his head back to take a swig.
He put down the flask, his gaze passing over the campfire to stare fixedly at the pitch-black Karst Cave halfway up the mountain.
Deep inside the Karst Cave, an orange-yellow fire was still burning.
"Zhao." Hall turned his head and spat out a breath of alcohol.
Zhao Qiming stood nearby, holding a piece of half-charred wild boar meat. "Hall."
"It's been a week." Hall raised his hand and pointed at the halfway point of the mountain. "There is no water source up there, no food supplies, and not even a single small bird has flown inside."
"Seven days! Without food or water for seven days, the people inside should have turned into mummies long ago!"
Hall walked up to Zhao Qiming. "You tell me, why is there still firelight inside? Why is no one begging for mercy at the cave entrance? Why haven't they starved to death yet?"
Zhao Qiming stared at that patch of fire, his brow furrowed into a tight knot.
He couldn't figure it out either. The climate on the island was humid and sweltering, and fresh water consumption was extremely high.
With a few people trapped in a sealed stone cave, cut off from all external resources, they simply couldn't last three to five days.
Zhao Qiming swallowed the dry meat in his mouth, his throat feeling parched. "Maybe... they had previously stockpiled a large amount of supplies."
Hall snorted coldly, turned around, and walked back to the reef. "Then I'll wait another seven days. Let's see how much they can stockpile."
Meanwhile, inside the Karst Cave, the aroma of meat filled the air.
Zhou Kai sat cross-legged on the ground, holding jerky in his hand.
Beside him, Song Ya was cutting several fresh Fuji apples into pieces and distributing them to everyone.
The people down below had no idea that the people inside the Karst Cave could not only replenish their protein but also get fresh vitamin C.
It was utterly peaceful here, without the slightest trace of the misery of being besieged. Their days could be said to be even more comfortable than those down below.
"It's been a week." Yang Ningcong tossed a bone away. "A full week, and over by the woods, there hasn't been a single peep."
"Those two women must be thoroughly dead."
No one paid him any mind.
Yang Ningcong continued talking to himself. "Two women, taking two beat-up blades, dared to charge into the Island Center. Not to mention those monsters, even if they ran into the thirty-odd guns Hall sent to the back mountain, they'd be riddled like a sieve."
"I said it long ago, instead of going to throw your lives away, you might as well give them to me..."
Yang Ningcong smacked his lips twice. "Be my personal bodyguard, and by the way... cough, discuss the meaning of life."
Zhou Kai originally didn't want to bother with Yang Ningcong, but chimed in out of boredom. "You even dare to think about a job like this? Those two chicks both have military daggers tucked at their waists. If you really got them into bed, aren't you afraid she'd castrate you in the middle of the night?"
"What the hell do you know!" Yang Ningcong rolled his eyes, leaned back, and struck the pose of a wealthy young master. "This is called contrast! This is called the desire for conquest!"
"In the past on my yacht, whatever tender models or minor celebrities there were, I got sick of playing with all of them. They were all cut from the same cloth and catered to your every whim—it was boring as hell!"
The more Yang Ningcong talked, the more excited he became. "Look at this Xiao Qian, pretty-faced and well-proportioned, her chest muscles so tightly toned! Female mercenaries like this who lick blood off knife blades year-round have a ruthless streak deep in their bones."
"If you pin her down and watch her go from gnashing her teeth in hatred to being utterly submissive, that feeling, tsk tsk tsk..."
"I'm telling you, this is way more satisfying than whatever big celebrity you had before."
Zhou Kai's eyes widened completely, forgetting even to chew his meat. He gulped down a huge mouthful of saliva. Since he no longer had the means to indulge in reality, he might as well enjoy it in his mind.
"Is it really that awesome?" Zhou Kai rubbed his hands together. "Have you really played this kind of routine before?"
Yang Ningcong sneered, sidelong-glancing at Zhou Kai with a face full of contempt. "You bottom-rung wage slaves have way too narrow of a vision."
"Let Young Master Yang here teach you. To deal with a wild horse like this, you have to use methods and find a few bodyguards..."
"You first cut off her retreat, then give her a glimmer of hope, and walk her around like a dog for a few rounds. Once her psychological defense line completely collapses, she'll crawl over and beg you on her own."
Yang Ningcong got more and more carried away the more he boasted, completely losing himself as he gestured with both hands in midair. "Women, you can't treat them as..."
Zhou Kai was listening spellbound, just preparing to hear Teacher Yang impart his experience, when suddenly he felt the hair on the back of his neck stand up without warning.
The sharp intuition from his werewolf mutation was screamingly sounding the alarm to him.
Killing intent, extremely pure killing intent.
Zhou Kai turned his head in slow motion.
A few meters away, three women were sitting in a row.
Su Qingxue's gaze sliced over like icy daggers.
Beside her, Xu Zhixia was holding a pair of scissors, leisurely cutting strips of cloth.
The scissors snapped shut with a click, a cold glint flashing across the blade, her gaze locked straight between Yang Ningcong's legs.
Song Ya was holding half an apple in her hands, her cheeks bulging as she looked like she was angry.
Those two talking about such things usually was fine since they couldn't hear them, but now they deliberately talked about it right in front of them—wasn't this directly challenging their bottom line?
Lin Fan glanced over, the corners of his mouth curling up. The Deserted Island show was about to begin.
If Yang Ningcong had just behaved himself, keeping him around to pass the time normally wouldn't be bad.
Zhou Kai's heart trembled, his desire to survive instantly maxed out. "Pui!"
His entire body bounced backward two meters, pointing at Yang Ningcong's nose and cursing up a storm.
"Scumbag!" Zhou Kai was filled with righteous indignation, his voice cracking loudly. "You are vulgar! You are shameless! You are simply a living beast!"
Yang Ningcong wiped the spit off his forehead, still dazed, staring blankly at the good brother who had been humbly asking for advice just a second ago. "Zhou Kai, what kind of nervous breakdown are you having..."
"Don't call my name! I find it filthy!" Zhou Kai put on the air of someone sacrificing family for righteousness. "Everyone is trapped on this damn island, our lives hanging by a thread, and your head is stuffed entirely with these filthy things! Do you think this is still the Yang Family villa?"
"Although I, Zhou Kai, am a rough man, not as handsome as you, and don't have as much money as you, I know how to respect women! You actually taught me how to play with women? What do you take me for! Am I the kind of beast who can't keep his lower half under control?!"
Yang Ningcong's CPU was directly fried.
He pointed at Zhou Kai, his mouth opening and closing for a long time before forcing out a single sentence: "You clearly swallowed your saliva just now..."
"I drooled because the jerky was delicious!" Zhou Kai snapped back. "The three sisters-in-law... cough, the three ladies, please don't lump me together with this trash. I, Zhou Kai, am a model of male virtue, completely innocent and pure!"
This speed-of-light disassociation strongly resonated with the three women.
Su Qingxue tossed down her wet wipe and let out a cold sneer. "Yang Ningcong, you really disgust me."
Her tone was prickly and merciless. "Back in civilized society, you put on the appearance of a deeply affectionate young master. Once you arrived on this Deserted Island, your true colors were exposed. Do you really think that with a few stinking bucks, all the women in the world should just stick their rear ends out for you to pick at?"
Yang Ningcong was scolded until his face turned red and his neck veins bulged. He wanted to talk back, wanted to tell her that she was nothing more than Lin Fan's bitch.
But catching a glimpse of Lin Fan smiling faintly beside him, he forcibly swallowed his anger back down into his stomach.
Xu Zhixia also spoke up. "There's a term in medicine called brainstem deficiency syndrome."
"Today I've finally witnessed a living specimen. Yang Ningcong, please get your physiological common sense straight—you also crawled out of a woman's belly."
"Here you are talking big about how to play with women; go back and ask your mother what she would think if she heard these lofty insights of yours?"
Xu Zhixia pointed the scissors forward. "If you spout any more bullshit, I'll personally perform a small surgery for you. The Deserted Island conditions are crude, no anesthesia needed, and I guarantee you'll cut off all these worldly thoughts for the rest of your life."
Yang Ningcong felt an inexplicable chill in his lower body, his legs subconsciously clamping shut as cold sweat broke out on his forehead.
Song Ya swallowed the apple in her mouth and raised a pink fist. "President Su and Sister Zhixia are completely right! You utterly mediocre and confident man! Subpar man! Pui!"
The three women delivered a combo beating with their words, scolding Yang Ningcong so badly that he shrank into a corner and didn't dare make a peep.
"Let's go, into the compartment. Being in the same space as this kind of person completely pollutes the air."
Su Qingxue pulled Xu Zhixia, and the three women turned and walked into the small compartment deep inside the Karst Cave, leaving the outside to the three men.
The cave entrance grew quiet again, with only the firewood crackling as it burned.
Lin Fan glanced at Zhou Kai and almost laughed out loud.
His three women had been suppressed for too long; taking it out on this rich second-generation heir was entirely reasonable.
Yang Ningcong hugged his knees, his face swelling to the color of a pig's liver as humiliation and anger surged deep within his eyes.
As the dignified young master of the Yang Family, when had he ever suffered this kind of humiliation!
Pointed at and scolded by three women, even a bottom-rung punk dared to step on him!
Zhou Kai confirmed that the three women had completely entered the compartment, relaxed his shoulders, and watched his righteous expression collapse at the speed of light, swapping back to that wretched, sleazy look.
He tiptoed back to Yang Ningcong's side, chuckled with a grin, and rubbed his hands together. "Young Master Yang, the women are all gone. Let's us brothers chat some more."
"Where were you just talking about? Having the bodyguards pin her down—what comes after that, how do you specifically operate it?"
Yang Ningcong raised his head, looking at Zhou Kai as if looking at a lunatic.
A few seconds ago, this fellow was righteously proclaiming he wanted to break ties with him, and now he turned right around and ran over to humbly ask for advice?
How could there be someone with skin this thick in this world!
"Get lost!" Yang Ningcong was furious enough to have smoke coming out of his seven orifices, grabbing a fragment of stone from the ground and hurling it at him. "Play! Play! Go play by yourself! If I say one more word to you, I'll take your last name!"
"Don't be like that, bro!" Zhou Kai nimbly dodged the stone and shamelessly leaned forward. "My Zhou Family ancestors definitely don't want an unfilial descendant like you. Hurry up and tell me, how do you actually play it? I'm really quite curious..."
Before his voice faded,
Zhou Kai suddenly stopped moving, his yellowish-green vertical pupils instantly contracting as his gaze passed over Yang Ningcong's shoulder, locking onto the forest to the side outside the Karst Cave.
Seeing Zhou Kai's expression suddenly change, Yang Ningcong was startled. "What... what is it?"
Seeing that Zhou Kai didn't speak, Yang Ningcong turned his head to look along his line of sight...
PS: Although Young Master Yang is timid and afraid of trouble, he hasn't done anything to harm the protagonist's team. This rich second-generation heir of ours might be going out to develop elsewhere soon.
