Chapter 102 The Arrogance of the Booth
Another ten minutes passed.
Only then, with Lin Chen's support, did Zhao Mengyao gradually finish getting dressed.
"I've truly met the perfect male god of my dreams!"
Zhao Mengyao was incredibly excited internally.
She was, after all, a professional doctor.
"A man with such stamina is something you can only encounter by chance, not seek out."
"He's just a bit too powerful."
"In just over half an hour, I reached the peak several times..."
"That felt absolutely amazing."
"If he wanted it every day, I might not be able to handle it..."
Her heart was filled with joy and a touch of uncertainty.
"Never mind that for now. A man who is handsome, healthy, and has explosive stamina..."
"I must hold onto him tightly."
Lin Chen looked at Zhao Mengyao, who still seemed a bit dazed.
"Come, I'll help you out!"
She then used her loose hair to cover her cheeks.
Together with Lin Chen, she returned to the noisy bar hall.
Just as they were passing by a booth.
"Hey."
The voice wasn't loud, yet it precisely cut through the surrounding noise,
carrying a hint of condescending casualness.
Lin Chen's footsteps paused, and he subconsciously turned toward the sound,
his brow furrowing almost imperceptibly.
This voice was all too familiar to him; it was Wang Hao, who always loved to compete with him.
"Wang Hao!"
Lin Chen's voice wasn't high, and there wasn't much emotion in his tone,
but a flash of surprise still crossed his eyes.
His gaze swept over the booth, instantly taking in the people inside:
Wang Hao sat in the center of the booth, surrounded by several beautifully dressed women,
along with two guys in trendy brands who were drinking and chatting with their arms around each other's shoulders.
Lin Chen recognized two of the girls at a glance.
One was Chen Na, the girlfriend who had been showing off while holding Wang Hao's arm in his bmw last time.
At this moment, she was leaning delicately in Wang Hao's arms, an ambiguous smile on her bright red lips.
The other was Wang Hao's sister, Wang Lin, wearing a crop top with her hair dyed light brown.
She was taking a selfie with her phone, her eyes full of flamboyance.
The remaining few looked somewhat familiar under the dim lights,
like high school classmates, but as for their specific names,
Lin Chen couldn't recall them for the moment and didn't care to think about it.
Wang Hao leaned back slowly against the booth's sofa, legs spread wide,
in an arrogant posture, playing with an open bottle of imported liquor.
A playful smirk hooked his lips as his eyes sized Lin Chen up and down,
the mockery in his tone impossible to hide:
"You actually came to a place like a bar to play?"
"Did the sun rise from the west today?"
He paused, deliberately raising his volume as if to let everyone in the booth hear,
his tone carrying a smugness as if he were granting a favor:
"Not bad, not bad. You've made progress!"
"Unlike in high school, when you were a total shut-in who didn't even dare enter a bar door."
Saying this, he tilted his chin and pointed to an empty seat beside him, feigning generosity:
"These are all our old high school classmates. Why don't you come and sit?"
"Don't be shy."
Lin Chen's gaze didn't land on the empty seat.
Instead, he was drawn to the flashing light sign in the center of the booth: VIP8.
The three gilded characters were especially striking in the dim light, exuding a flamboyance built on money.
He understood perfectly; Wang Hao was deliberately showing off his wealth in front of him,
wanting to embarrass him and make him envious.
Just then, a burst of energetic electronic music suddenly came from the distant DJ booth.
Following that, a high-pitched and penetrating shout-out exploded throughout the bar,
instantly drowning out all other noise:
"Attention, attention!"
"VIP8 Booth!"
"Two sets of the Dragon Parade! Young Master Wang is so generous!"
"Wishing Young Master Wang a great time tonight, may wealth roll in and beautiful women accompany him!"
The moment the shout-out ended, all the lights in the venue focused on the VIP8 booth.
Countless gazes shifted over in unison,
filled with envy, jealousy, curiosity, and fawning.
Wang Hao wanted exactly this feeling of being the center of attention.
He deliberately straightened his back, the smugness on his face growing even stronger.
His eyes scanned the surroundings as if enjoying the taste of being worshipped.
Next, a row of hot and sexy bunny girl waitresses walked over.
They wore snow-white bunny ear headbands, tight-fitting short crop tops, and miniskirts.
Stepping in stilettos with seductive strides,
they carried exquisite fruit platters in their hands,
along with several bottles of gold-glimmering Ace of Spades champagne.
The gold foil on the bottles shone brilliantly under the lights, exuding high-end luxury.
Behind them followed two staff members holding streamers and dry ice machines.
As they approached the booth, streamers fell with a "whoosh."
Dry ice smoke rose slowly, making the entire booth look like a fairyland,
instantly becoming the focus of the entire venue.
Wang Hao watched the approaching bunny girl waitresses and felt the eyes of the whole room.
The smile on his face almost reached his ears, a sense of superiority welling up within him,
the pride in his eyes nearly overflowing.
He turned his head toward Lin Chen, his tone full of boasting and provocation,
as he deliberately tilted his chin:
"See that?"
"My treat."
"Look, we're drinking high-end stuff like this, Ace of Spades."
"I bet you've never even seen it before, have you?"
Lin Chen looked at Wang Hao's petty, triumphant expression.
He felt no waves in his heart; in fact, he found it a bit laughable.
This little display was not even worth mentioning in his eyes.
He just couldn't be bothered to argue with Wang Hao or expose his deliberate boasting.
He simply gave him a faint glance and said nothing.
Wang Lin, seeing that Lin Chen remained silent,
thought he was intimidated by the display and suddenly felt energized.
She remembered that in high school, Lin Chen was an introverted, ordinary-background shut-in.
He was always bullied by her and Wang Hao and never dared to resist.
Seeing Lin Chen still acting "quiet and reticent,"
she concluded that he was still as easy to bully as before.
Wang Lin abruptly stood up from the sofa and picked up an unopened bottle of imported liquor from the table.
She shook it, the glass reflecting cold light under the lamps.
She walked up to Lin Chen, chin tilted high,
her tone full of mockery and contempt, her voice deliberately loud
so everyone in the booth could hear:
"Lin Chen, never had this kind of liquor before, right?"
"Let me tell you, just this one booth tonight costs four or five thousand!"
"This one bottle probably equals half a month of your old living expenses, doesn't it?"
"Coming here to pick up girls without any money... I wonder what this woman in your arms sees in you?"
"Does she like your pathetic poverty?"
"Probably just likes your good looks!"
"Hahahaha!"
The others in the booth also burst into laughter,
the mockery in their eyes undisguised, as if Lin Chen's appearance
was purely to entertain them and serve as their joke.
Lin Chen hadn't originally minded Wang Hao's insults, but the woman he liked was right beside him.
How could he let himself be humiliated like this?
He turned and said a few words to the nearby Waiter.
Then, he led the still somewhat weak-kneed Zhao Mengyao back to her best friend's booth area.
The Waiter was seen quickly running toward the DJ booth.
