Chapter 234 Anticipation for the Night

But before she could order, he simply tilted his chin toward the Waiter and spoke in a casual yet lavish tone:

"Waiter, just order these few dishes: Steamed Grouper, Buddha Jumps Over the Wall, Australian Lobster, and bring a bottle of Lafite—the 20,000 yuan ones, a newer vintage if possible."

The Waiter acknowledged and left. The private room fell silent instantly. He Yun picked up her water glass and took a sip,

unable to resist asking about what happened last time. Her voice held a hint of uncertainty and an irrepressible joy:

"Lin Chen, what you said yesterday about making me a shareholder... was it for real?"

Lin Chen gave a helpless smile, thinking to himself that this was the third time she'd asked. But seeing her expectant gaze, he remained patient, reached out to ruffle her hair, and spoke with a serious yet doting tone:

"Of course it's real. Would I lie to you?

"The documents you signed yesterday are being processed for business registration by company staff today."

"Shares worth 200,000 yuan, given to you for free. You don't have to spend a cent."

"Don't think it's just 200,000; it might turn into 20 million in the future."

He Yun's eyes lit up. She leaned in close to him, hooked her arm through his, and said in a soft, sweet voice:

"It seems you're really determined to treat me well. No matter what happens later, at least for now, you're giving me 200,000 yuan for nothing."

"You're my woman. If I don't treat you well, who should I treat well?"

Lin Chen pinched her cheek, his tone ambiguous and a bit teasing.

"If you're happy, be a bit more proactive tonight. I like women who are... seductive and wet, you know?"

He Yun felt her whole body flush at his words. She gave him a light pinch, her eyes full of bashfulness as she nodded silently,

but the expectation in her gaze deepened by several degrees.

The ambiguous atmosphere in the private room spread slowly, mirroring the night falling outside the window.

During dinner, Lin Chen acted naturally, savoring the red wine with He Yun.

"Come, cheers. To a blissful and sweet life ahead."

He Yun drained her glass in one go.

Lin Chen, on the other hand, ate casually but heartily.

After all, those two rounds of intense exercise this afternoon had taken a lot out of him; he needed to replenish his energy.

The bottle of red wine was split exactly in half between the two of them.

"Come, one last glass. To making love to our hearts' content tonight. Cheers!"

He Yun didn't speak. Her face was flushed, and she was smiling, full of anticipation.

She downed it in one gulp.

"I'm finished eating!"

She said it in a very soft, gentle voice.

Lin Chen understood her meaning. She had eaten and drunk her fill and was waiting for Lin Chen to provide the next program.

He then naturally put down his chopsticks,

walked to the other side,

"Come on,"

He took He Yun's hand, and they took the elevator together to the top floor.

As soon as they entered the room, Lin Chen pinned her against the wall.

After a period of embracing, Lin Chen led her directly to the large window. It was pitch black outside.

Facing them for hundreds of meters was an empty river view.

"Look at how beautiful the night view is."

*Swoosh!*

Lin Chen pulled back the curtains that had been covering the glass.

"We'll be seen by others, won't we?"

He Yun was a bit hesitant.

"Don't be afraid... It's hundreds of meters of open space out there at night. Who would be looking here?"

...

The night of passion lasted until midnight.

The next morning, He Yun took the initiative once more.

It wasn't until past nine that the two of them left.

That evening, he went to accompany Chu Feifei, whom he hadn't seen much in nearly a month.

The following night, he went to the nearby Xingcheng Normal University to accompany Chen Shuang.

"So comfortable!"

"The greatest happiness in life is nothing more than having a different person every day!"

And so he spent his nights in a busy rush.

Friday arrived sooner than expected. Just as the bell for the last Advanced Mathematics class rang out loudly, the classroom instantly exploded,

the boys' rowdiness carrying the energy of liberation.

Lin Chen had just stuffed his textbook into his bag when someone nudged his arm. It was his roommate, Zhang Peng,

who leaned in with a wink, his voice low but unable to hide the gossip:

"Brother Chen, it's Friday! We're off tomorrow. Shouldn't we organize an activity? The guys are all waiting!"

Lin Chen glanced over at the Xia twins, who were packing their things not far away. A faint smile curled his lips, and his tone was very casual:

"I don't have time for you guys tonight. I have a date."

"With the Xia sisters, Xia Wanqing and her sister."

As he spoke, he winked at his brothers. The meaning in that look couldn't have been clearer. The group understood instantly and laughed as they gave him a few shoves.

"Oh—got it, got it!"

Wang Hao drawled, waving his hand playfully,

"Brother Chen, you go ahead and be busy with your 'big business.' We won't disturb you!"

Lin Chen kicked him with a laugh and turned to walk toward Xia Wanqing and Xia Wanrou. The sisters were wearing matching white hoodies with their hair tied in identical high ponytails. From a distance, their features looked like they were cast from the same mold, yet each had her own charm.

Xia Wanqing was a bit more aloof, while Xia Wanrou was soft and sweet.

"Wanqing, Wanrou, come with me." Lin Chen walked up to them, his tone as natural as an old friend of many years.

Xia Wanrou's eyes brightened. She looked up at him, her voice soft and carrying a hint of subtle expectation:

"Oh? Are we going to see the new house now?"

She was secretly thinking that she actually preferred going in the evening. That way, maybe she could logically stay over at his place.

The more she thought about it, the more the tips of her ears burned. She quickly lowered her head and pretended to pack her bag.

"It's good to go now. Go early, come back early, to avoid the crowds tonight," Lin Chen said with a smile.

Xia Wanqing, standing nearby, rolled her eyes and deliberately countered him with a touch of pride: "What's the rush? It's not like anyone's competing with you. Are you afraid the new house is going to fly away?"

Lin Chen didn't argue; he just looked at her and smiled.

He knew perfectly well that this woman was just stubborn on the outside but soft to the core.

Last time, she had acted all reserved at first, but didn't she end up being quite proactive later? Thinking of this, his smile deepened.

Xia Wanqing felt uncomfortable under his gaze and reached out to slap him. "What are you smiling at? Are you sick?"

"Nothing," Lin Chen reined in his smile, his tone remaining casual. "Let's go to the cafeteria for a meal first. After eating, I'll take you two to buy some things."

He was clear in his heart: when it comes to picking up girls, what's more effective than a shopping spree?

If you're willing to put in the effort and spend, women will remember your kindness. This wasn't some crooked logic; it was solid experience.

The cafeteria was crowded. They found a seat by the window. As Lin Chen shoveled rice into his mouth, he asked casually,

"By the way, have you both gotten your driver's licenses?"

The sisters nodded almost simultaneously. Xia Wanqing replied crisply:

"Yeah, we took the test last summer break. We've had our licenses for a while." Xia Wanrou also chimed in softly, "I took it with my sister. We both passed."

"That's good then," Lin Chen put down his chopsticks and said nonchalantly, as if he were talking about buying a bottle of water,

"I'll buy each of you a car for getting around. It'll be more convenient for you to go out."

"No need."

Xia Wanqing rejected the offer without even thinking, her tone very firm.
