Chapter 144 Female Graduates Studying Abroad in the United States
The glass doors of the office building lobby were gently pushed open,
bringing with them a faint scent of suit starch and coffee.
A young man in his early twenties, wearing a well-fitted dark suit, walked over quickly.
His steps were steady, and his eyes accurately locked onto Lin Chen, who was standing by the front desk.
A polite, well-practiced smile was plastered on his face.
Lin Chen had been absent-mindedly watching the traffic outside the window,
but he looked up as he heard the footsteps, his eyebrows raised slightly.
With a hint of casual surprise in his voice,
he asked offhandedly, "And you are?"
He had just finished the business at hand,
and hadn't given it any further thought.
His tone was flat, yet it carried a composure rarely seen in someone his age.
There was no excess emotion, but it made one feel that he was not someone to be easily dismissed.
The young man in the suit immediately stopped and bowed slightly,
his voice respectful and crisp:
"Hello, Mr. Lin. I am the corporate registration consulting agent Miss Li Sisi contacted in advance,"
"I've come specifically to take you to the office to complete the formalities."
Hearing this, Lin Chen was stunned for half a second,
and the slight sense of unfamiliarity instantly vanished.
The corners of his mouth curled up involuntarily, and a wave of warmth welled up within him.
Oh, so Li Sisi had arranged this.
He sighed inwardly,
"Big Sister is still the thoughtful one,"
"she's thought of everything so thoroughly,"
"I was only focused on registering the company and didn't have the time to deal with these tedious procedures,"
"yet she quietly arranged everything to perfection, being considerate to the core."
"I'll have to reward her with a night later."
With that thought, a rather lecherous smile grew on Lin Chen's face.
Not bothering with further pleasantries,
he simply waved his hand and said curtly,
"Alright, I see. Let's head straight to your office then. Let's not waste time."
The agent quickly stepped aside to lead the way,
his attitude becoming even more respectful,
as he led Lin Chen all the way to the private conference room at the far end of the office.
The conference room was decorated in a low-key yet grand style,
with leather sofas, a solid wood long table, and delicate green plants in the corners.
It was clearly designed for receiving important clients.
Not even a minute after Lin Chen sat down,
the door was pushed open again.
A middle-aged man in a gray suit, his hair combed impeccably, walked in quickly.
An exceptionally warm smile was plastered on his face,
and he proactively extended his hand toward Lin Chen.
"Hello, Mr. Lin. It's a great honor to meet you,"
"I am the general manager of this agency, surnamed Dong."
Manager Dong shook Lin Chen's hand gently,
his eyes quickly scanning him.
Seeing this young man who looked twenty at most, with handsome features and a composure far beyond his years,
his heart skipped a beat, but he continued his introduction without pause.
"Miss Li Sisi called us a long time ago,"
"saying that you wanted to register a Hong Kong investment company."
"We are acting as your full power of attorney, and we've smoothed out the entire process for you,"
"You don't need to worry about anything else; you'll just need to sign in a few key places later,"
"and it'll all be done within half an hour"
"the whole process is efficient and hassle-free."
Lin Chen leaned back on the sofa,
his posture relaxed as his fingertips lightly tapped his knee.
After listening, he simply gave a faint response:
"Oh."
His tone was flat, but he was silently impressed.
The service industry in Hong Kong was indeed professional.
Anywhere else,
registering a company would require several trips and a mountain of paperwork.
Here, it was fully managed, which was certainly convenient.
Seeing that he was a man of few words, Manager Dong didn't feel awkward.
Instead, he became even more cautious, sitting in the opposite chair with a forced smile.
He got straight to the point:
"Mr. Lin, Miss Li only mentioned that you wanted to establish an investment company,"
"but she didn't specify the scale of the registration,"
"I wonder what the final registered capital you've decided on is? We can then immediately prepare the corresponding documents."
When he asked this,
he already had a figure in mind.
He figured that for a young man starting a business, even with a good family background,
a million would be the limit, maybe four or five million at most.
That would already be top-tier.
After all, the person in front of him looked so young,
he might even be a minor.
Lin Chen looked up at him,
his tone as flat as if he were discussing the most ordinary matter.
He said, word for word:
"One hundred million."
"...What?"
The smile on Manager Dong's face froze instantly.
It was as if his ears hadn't heard correctly, and he subconsciously asked again.
The next second, he gasped sharply,
"Hiss—"
his voice trembling uncontrollably.
His composure completely shattered.
"One hundred million?"
His eyes bulged as he stared intently at Lin Chen,
sizing him up several times, his mind in a state of turmoil.
This kid, who looked like he wasn't even twenty,
actually wanted to register an investment company with a capital of one hundred million?
One must know that while there are rules for subscribed capital in Hong Kong,
a limit of one hundred million was no joke.
Anyone with the confidence to put up that much was definitely not from an ordinary family.
He was a genuine scion of a top-tier wealthy family!
Usually, the clients he dealt with
were considered major if they had tens of millions.
Now, someone with one hundred million had suddenly appeared, and he was just a youth!
Manager Dong's mental calculator immediately began clicking away, and his eyes lit up.
This was an incredible connection!
If he could cling to this giant tree,
wouldn't their small agency be able to walk tall in Hong Kong circles from now on?
Growing bigger and stronger would happen in no time.
He might even be able to tap into the resources of the young man's family and achieve instant success!
Not to mention, his daughter, Dong Shuqi, had just returned from studying at a prestigious university in America.
She was beautiful, highly educated, and hadn't found a boyfriend since her return.
If he could match her with this young, handsome scion who spent a hundred million so casually,
it would be a fantastic stroke of luck. His daughter would never have to worry for the rest of her life,
and his family would have truly climbed the social ladder!
With that thought, the way Manager Dong looked at Lin Chen
instantly shifted from polite to fawning, his enthusiasm practically overflowing.
He hurriedly waved toward the door, calling over the agent in the suit from before.
He lowered his voice, his tone carrying an unquestionable command:
"Go and prepare all the registration documents for a one hundred million limit on an expedited basis,"
"and don't come back,"
"go call Shuqi here,"
"have her handle the contract registration and data handover for Mr. Lin. Hurry!"
The agent was stunned for a moment,
but he soon realized what was happening.
He nodded quickly in agreement and hurried out.
He wondered to himself why he usually handled these kinds of cases,
but it was suddenly switched to the young mistress.
Within a few minutes, there was a gentle knock on the conference room door,
and then a figure entered.
Lin Chen looked up instinctively, his gaze pausing.
The one who entered was a young woman, appearing to be about twenty-two or twenty-three.
She wore a well-tailored cream-colored business suit.
Her long hair was elegantly tied up, and her makeup was light yet attractive.
Her features were very beautiful, and her aura was both capable and gentle.
Her curves were highlighted by the professional attire,
especially the white shirt at the collar, which appeared exceptionally full.
Her gait was elegant, clearly that of a well-educated young lady.
Upon seeing her, Lin Chen thought to himself:
"Yo,"
"this beauty is quite something!"
