Chapter 70 Business Opportunities and Tenderness in the Bathroom

Lin Chen stretched his body, his joints making a slight "click" sound.

He stood up and walked slowly into this luxurious bathroom, which was comparable to a star-rated hotel suite.

The marble floor was polished to a mirror-like shine.

Outside the huge floor-to-ceiling windows was a hazy night view.

The built-in bathtub was already filled with warm water.

The dense mist carried a faint scent of aromatherapy.

It drifted past his nose, instantly dispelling the exhaustion from his entire body.

He shed his clothes and slowly lay down in the bathtub.

The warm current enveloped his four limbs and hundred bones.

It was so comfortable that he couldn't help but sigh, the laziness and contentment between his brows impossible to hide.

His fingertips brushed across the water's surface, creating circles of tiny ripples.

His mind, which had been empty, was suddenly lit up by a thought.

"Equity investment!"

"That's right, how could I have forgotten about this!"

A bright light instantly burst from Lin Chen's eyes, and his heart couldn't help but beat faster.

His fingertips subconsciously tightened.

"These few years are exactly the trend period."

"Those companies that have just been established and are still begging for financing, but will break into the Fortune Global 500 in the future, are huge pieces of fat meat!"

"The earlier I start, the more I'll earn, and the greater the initiative I'll hold!"

Names flashed rapidly through his mind.

His gaze became increasingly determined as he calculated carefully in his heart:

"ByteDance, founded in 2012, it's only been two years now."

"It doesn't have much fame right now, probably rushing to find investment to revitalize its business; later, it becomes a global tech giant."

"The douyin videos and Fanqie Novels under its name will become popular with the masses, even coveted by the Americans."

"And then there's miHoYo, that game company in Shanghai."

"Also founded in 2012, they're probably still spinning in small circles now, with no one imagining they'll make games that take the world by storm later."

"Investing in these two now will definitely yield a hundredfold or thousandfold return in the future!"

Thinking of this, the corners of his mouth couldn't help but curl up slightly.

He added:

"And Pinduoduo, it won't be founded until September next year, 2015."

"There's no use rushing now, but as soon as it appears, I must act decisively!"

"In the future, it will be a presence that stands alongside Taobao and JD.com in a tripartite balance. Missing this wave would be too much of a loss!"

With his mind made up, the excitement in Lin Chen's heart was hard to calm.

The warm flow of water seemed to become even more refreshing.

He looked up at the crystal lamp at the top of the bathroom, the light refracting through the mist into tiny spots of light.

A more complete plan took shape in his mind:

"Ideas alone aren't enough; I need a reliable vehicle. Registering an investment company in Hong Kong would be most suitable!"

After all, he was from the Finance Department; with less than a month of introductory knowledge after enrollment,

he already understood the advantages of Hong Kong investment companies.

He had long known them by heart, and now they surfaced in his mind one by one.

He became even more certain of this idea:

"The registration threshold is extremely low, as low as 1 HKD, and no capital verification is needed, saving a lot of trouble."

"Moreover, a single person can register, there are no nationality restrictions, and one can use a secretarial address, so there's no need to worry about finding office space."

"The processing cycle is also fast, it can be done in a day or two, without delaying anything."

"The most critical parts are taxes and foreign exchange!"

Lin Chen's eyes lit up, his tone full of excitement.

"Hong Kong has territorial source taxation; the profits tax for the first 2 million HKD is only 8.25%."

"The portion exceeding that is only 16.5%, much lower than the mainland."

"Furthermore, there's no VAT, capital gains tax, or withholding tax on dividends, which can save a huge amount of money."

"As for foreign exchange controls, there are none at all!"

"Free collection and payment in multiple currencies, global fund transfers are convenient."

"In the future, whether it's investing in overseas companies or capital turnover, everything will be unimpeded."

Besides that, the advantages of financing channels also made his heart race:

"International banks, bonds, IPOs, PE/VC—the channels are endless, and capital efficiency is high."

"Once the company grows larger in the future, there will be absolutely no need to worry about capital turnover issues."

"Good, it's settled then!"

Lin Chen slapped the edge of the bathtub hard, splashing a little water.

It landed on his arm, but he was completely oblivious, his face filled with a smile of determination.

"I'll go to Hong Kong during National Day. I'll register the company and relax at the same time; I'll treat it as a reward for myself!"

While his thoughts were drifting in the blueprint of future wealth,

a smile hung on Lin Chen's lips, his gaze slightly vacant.

His whole being was immersed in the joy of soon becoming filthy rich,

and he didn't even notice the slight footsteps coming from outside the bathroom door.

"Knock, knock, knock..."

A crisp yet somewhat soft knocking sound suddenly rang out,

breaking the silence of the bathroom and pulling Lin Chen's thoughts back.

Immediately after, a gentle and melodious female voice came through the door panel,

sounding a bit playful and a bit shy:

"Master, I'm here to scrub your back."

Lin Chen was momentarily stunned, his eyes snapping wide open.

The smile on his face froze for a second, followed by a surge of bewilderment and surprise.

He couldn't help but mutter in his heart:

"Scrubbing my back?"

"Does maid service include this item too?"

"How does it even include back scrubbing?"

With a shift in thought, a mischievous smile flashed in his eyes.

The corners of his mouth unconsciously curled into a wicked grin, and his little schemes immediately surfaced:

"If it's back scrubbing, does that mean the whole body can be scrubbed once over?"

"Hehehe..."

"This treatment is just too perfect."

His originally somewhat lazy gaze now held a bit more playfulness and anticipation.

He cleared his throat, suppressing the restlessness in his heart.

He deliberately slowed his tone and shouted toward the door:

"Come in!"

The door was gently pushed open, and Su Wan walked in carrying a small wooden tray,

entering with light, mincing steps, wearing a light-colored maid outfit.

The hem of her skirt swayed gently, making her figure look even more petite and soft.

Her cheeks bore a faint blush, and her eyes were slightly lowered,

not daring to look directly at Lin Chen in the bathtub. She stopped by the edge of the tub,

her voice as soft as a feather:

"Master, let me massage your shoulders first. You've been soaking for so long, your shoulders must be sore."

Lin Chen nodded, closed his eyes, and relaxed his body, his tone lazy:

"Okay."

Su Wan extended her fair and slender fingers, gently resting them on Lin Chen's shoulders,

and began to knead with moderate pressure.

Her fingertips were slightly cool, and as they touched Lin Chen's warm skin,

a strange sensation spread. Lin Chen felt a numbness throughout his body,

his originally tense muscles instantly relaxed. It was so comfortable he couldn't help but squint his eyes,

his brows smoothing out and a smile returning to his lips.

After massaging for a while, Su Wan stopped and asked softly:

"Master, does it feel good?"

"Should I adjust the pressure?"

"Mm, it's comfortable. No need to adjust, it's just right."

Lin Chen's voice carried a hint of pleasant hoarseness.

Closing his eyes, his tone was full of enjoyment.

"I didn't expect your skill to be so good."

Hearing the praise, Su Wan's cheeks turned even redder,

and her voice became even softer and shyer:

"Thank you for the praise, Master. Then I'll start scrubbing your back now."

"First the back, then the front!"

"Okay."

"Ah, the front!"
