Chapter 155 Wipe, wipe, I'm wiping now!

Stepping out of the hotel's main entrance,

he raised his hand to hail a taxi, pulled open the door, and gave the address:

"Master, to the Hong Kong-Macau Ferry Terminal. Please hurry, I'm catching a boat."

"Alright, Handsome Guy!"

"I won't waste your time!"

The driver spoke with a standard Hong Kong accent.

The taxi driver responded briskly and stepped on the gas, speeding off.

In less than half an hour, the car stopped at the terminal entrance.

Lin Chen paid the fare, grabbed his suitcase, and walked inside quickly,

calculating in his head:

"After picking up the ticket, I'll just make it for the next boat."

"Once I reach Macau, I'll find a hotel to drop off my luggage first,"

"Then find Chen Qian."

"Then I'll scout the area. By the time Feifei and Niannian arrive,"

"I can take them out to play directly."

The terminal was bustling with people, a massive, swarming crowd.

The sounds of footsteps, voices, and broadcasts blended into a noisy din.

Lin Chen had handsome features and an upright posture.

Wearing a simple white T-shirt and jeans,

he stood out remarkably in the crowd.

He could feel many eyes landing on him,

from both men and women. Some Young Ladies even stole glances back at him,

even huddling together to whisper.

Lin Chen felt secretly smug, and the corners of his mouth couldn't help but curl up:

"Sigh, I can't help it."

"Being handsome comes with its own aura; I'm popular wherever I go."

But as he kept walking, he realized something was off.

Among those gazes, besides curiosity and admiration, why was there also suppressed laughter?

A few girls were even covering their mouths and laughing as they looked at him,

and some even laughed out loud with strange looks in their eyes.

"That's strange,"

Lin Chen rubbed his nose,

feeling suspicious,

"I'm dressed quite decently today,"

"and my hair isn't messy. Is it really worth laughing like that?"

He subconsciously straightened his collar,

puffed out his chest a bit,

and thought to himself:

"Anyway, as long as I'm handsome, it's fine. They're probably laughing because they're envious of my looks."

The further he walked toward the tourist waiting area,

the more people looked at him,

the laughter became more obvious,

and some people even took out their phones to secretly snap photos of him.

The bit of smugness in Lin Chen's heart gradually turned into confusion,

and he even felt a bit uneasy.

"This is too much. Even if I'm handsome,"

"it shouldn't cause this many people to stare, right?"

Just as he was feeling completely uncomfortable,

a middle-aged man in a floral shirt patted his shoulder

and shook his head with a look of helplessness:

"Young man, it's not that I want to nag you, but while your looks are indeed attractive,"

"you still need to pay attention to your image!"

Lin Chen was stunned.

He looked down at himself,

completely bewildered:

"Uncle,"

"what's wrong with my image?"

"My clothes are clean, my shoes aren't dirty. There's nothing wrong, is there?"

Before the man could speak,

a Young Lady nearby with a high ponytail,

whose shoulders were shaking from trying to suppress her laughter,

handed over a small mirror

and said through her giggles:

"Here,"

"Handsome Guy,"

"you'll know once you look for yourself. Quick, look at your face~"

Lin Chen's heart skipped a beat.

He had a bad feeling.

He hurriedly took the mirror and brought it close to his eyes.

Good heavens, he froze on the spot instantly.

His face flushed bright red in a flash,

from his cheeks all the way to his ears. He wished he could find a hole to crawl into.

"Crap! Crap, crap, crap!"

He cursed under his breath,

his voice trembling slightly. In the mirror,

on both of his cheeks, there were clear lipstick marks!

The one on the left was a bright red. Without a doubt,

it was Chu Feifei's lipstick shade;

she loved this kind of vibrant red most.

The one on the right was a light pink, perfectly Shen Nian's style—gentle and flattering.

Lin Chen's head buzzed as countless scenes flashed through his mind.

From leaving the hotel, hailing the taxi, talking to the driver, to walking through the terminal...

so many people had seen him, and he had stupidly thought they were admiring his looks,

even feeling secretly proud!

"Oh my god, this is such a social death!"

He wanted to bury his face in his collar, feeling both angry and amused,

"So the whole way here, I've been a walking joke?"

"Those people weren't laughing because I'm handsome,"

"it was because of these two damn lipstick marks on my face!"

He gritted his teeth, cursing Chu Feifei and Shen Nian eight hundred times in his heart:

"Those two damn vixens!"

"They did it on purpose, didn't they?"

"Knowing I was going out, they still kissed me all over my face."

"Just wait until I get back at them next time. I'll make them taste this kind of social death too!"

The Young Lady nearby was still holding back laughter,

and the middle-aged man also smiled and patted his shoulder:

"Young man, hurry and find a place to wipe those off,"

"otherwise, once you board the boat, the whole ship will be laughing at you."

Lin Chen's face turned even redder. He quickly thanked them,

grabbed a tissue, and started scrubbing his face, muttering as he did:

"Wipe, wipe, I'm wiping them now!"

"If I let those two girls have their way again, my last name isn't Lin!"

But the corners of his mouth couldn't help but twitch upward secretly.

Even though it was a social death, thinking of those two girls' smiling faces,

he couldn't stay angry; instead, it felt a little sweet.

The ferry arrived in Macau in an hour.

He hailed another car.

As soon as Lin Chen pulled open the door and sat in the taxi,

a faint scent of mint mixed with the melody of an old Cantonese song washed over him.

The driver, speaking Mandarin with a heavy Cantonese accent,

enthusiastically turned his head:

"Young man, where to?"

"Master, to the Grand Lisboa Hotel."

Lin Chen buckled his seatbelt and looked out the window at the passing streetscape with curiosity.

"It's my first time in Macau."

"I heard the Grand Lisboa is very famous."

I wanted to ask you, what's fun to do there?"

The driver smiled and gave the steering wheel a light turn,

his tone cheerful:

"The Grand Lisboa? There's plenty!"

"It's a landmark of Macau, shaped like a lotus flower."

"The 'Golden Egg' at the base looks beautiful when it lights up at night."

"Many people go there specifically to take photos and check in."

He paused and then added,

"Besides looking at the architecture, there are many good things inside."

"For example, Mr. Stanley Ho's collection includes a massive diamond,"

"and a replica of the Old Summer Palace horse head. It's like a small museum."

Lin Chen's eyes lit up:

"That special?"

"I thought there were only casinos there."

"By the way, Master, how do you actually play in the casinos?"

"I've never been, so I'm a bit curious."

The driver slowed down and explained patiently:

"Young man,"

there are many ways to play inside. The most popular is baccarat; the rules are simple."

"You choose Banker, Player, or Tie. After betting, the cards are dealt, and the higher point total wins."

"How do you exchange chips then?"

Lin Chen pressed on, his palms heating up slightly.

"There are exchange counters inside the casino."

"You can exchange both cash and bank cards. Chips come in expensive and cheap varieties."

"The lowest ones are just a few dozen dollars."

"But I suggest for your first time, just try with small bets."

The driver's tone became more serious.

"There's also Sic Bo and roulette. Sic Bo is guessing the total of the dice."

"roulette is guessing numbers. They're all easy to pick up."

"But remember, the house always has the edge. If you gamble long enough, you're bound to lose."

Lin Chen nodded and asked again:

"Besides the casino, is there anything else fun?"

"Like dining or leisure spots."

"Oh yes, definitely,"

The driver became lively again,
