24: Chapter 24 Construction of the Secret Realm 1
Mo Yufei stood in the center of the cleared courtyard, holding his breath and focusing his mind. With a single thought, he directly connected to the Storage Space within his body.
The next second, the air rippled slightly, and mountains of supplies, guided by his will, poured out from the space, landing heavily on the flat ground with dull thuds.
The first items he retrieved were various food supplies scavenged from the Mall during The Apocalypse.
Boxes of biscuits, vacuum-packed bread and ham, bags of rice, flour, cooking oil, various canned goods, and instant snacks were piled up into a dense mountain.
Mo Yufei deliberately stacked all the food neatly on the open ground to the left of the RV.
He then activated the Storage Space again, casting his gaze directly toward the open ground to the right of the RV.
The moment his mind stirred, faint ripples appeared in the space, and various tools and sundries were continuously transported out.
Hammers, wrenches, folding shovels, military shovels, ropes, tarpaulins, repair parts, spare batteries, various hardware accessories... along with a pile of miscellaneous daily items, all landed on the ground to the right of the RV.
He precisely controlled the landing spots, ensuring the tools and sundries were stacked neatly against the side wall of the RV, clearly separated from the food area on the left. Everything was categorized by size and placed clearly, without the slightest bit of clutter.
After confirming that all tools and sundries had landed safely and were properly categorized, he withdrew his focus. Glancing over the clearly divided piles of supplies, a sense of reassurance grew in his eyes.
After dealing with the food and tools, Mo Yufei activated the Storage Space again, his gaze falling on the reserved central area next to the RV.
With a slight shift of his thoughts, fine spatial ripples appeared in the air again, and a whole batch of daily necessities was the first to be transported out.
Bedding, pillows, toiletries, clothes for changing, towels, tissues, pots and pans, camping tableware, emergency medicine, and more were piled high next to the RV cabin door—all essential items for daily life.
Immediately after, he took out all the various appliances and computers scavenged from the Mall during The Apocalypse, stacking them neatly beside the daily necessities. They were placed close to the RV body, which would both facilitate moving them into the vehicle for later use and prevent them from getting damp or damaged in the open air.
Looking at the properly arranged living supplies and appliances, Mo Yufei nodded slightly, then recalled the seeds in his Storage Space.
He once again retrieved all the sealed bags of vegetable seeds, grain seeds, and fruit seeds. The seeds were tightly packaged and were precious seedlings he had carefully preserved.
He reached out and opened the external storage compartment on the side of the main RV. The space inside was spacious and dry. He carefully categorized all the seeds and stacked them neatly inside the storage compartment. After confirming the door was tightly closed and could keep out moisture and pests, he gently shut the door and locked it.
Mo Yufei looked at the open, flat ground outside the courtyard, his eyes flickering as he activated the Storage Space again.
Layers of faint spatial ripples suddenly appeared in the void. A rugged and imposing off-road vehicle was the first to emerge from the space, landing steadily on the outermost part of the open ground. Its body was sleek, without a single scratch.
Immediately after, he moved his thoughts again. A pickup truck with a spacious cargo area followed, parking precisely beside the off-road vehicle. A car with smooth lines also landed steadily. The three motor vehicles were lined up in order, occupying one side of the open ground, uniform and neat.
And when the last big item appeared, even the air trembled slightly.
The excavator that had once ruthlessly crushed a zombie boss, bearing a few marks, slowly emerged from the spatial ripples. Its huge bucket hung steadily to one side, fully displaying its weight and sense of power.
Mo Yufei precisely controlled the parking position. The excavator was parked on the far side, which neither occupied the passage space nor hindered it from being used at any time. All vehicles were parked in an orderly fashion, clear at a glance.
Looking at the various vehicles lined up on the open ground, especially the excavator that had rendered such great service, a hint of certainty flashed in his eyes, having these vehicles for transport, hauling, and construction.
Mo Yufei turned his head to look at the RV on the left and immediately made up his mind to convert it into his exclusive kitchen.
He first opened the side door of the RV and stepped inside. His gaze fell on the spacious horizontal bed at the rear of the cabin. He cleared out the entire area, specifically to store large quantities of staple foods, instant foods, and other food supplies that took up space.
Immediately after, he picked up the food supplies piled next to the RV. Using his mind in coordination with manual labor, he stacked boxes of rice and flour, and bags of bread and biscuits, categorizing them and placing them on the rear horizontal bed area. They were stacked neatly and securely, fully utilizing every inch of space.
After finishing with the bed area, he opened the built-in storage cabinets and overhead cupboards on both sides of the RV. He reached out and carefully placed various glass canned goods, meat cans, fruit cans, as well as salt, sugar, soy sauce, vinegar, cooking oil, and various spices and seasonings into the cabinets.
Bottles and jars were placed in a staggered arrangement, packed full without leaving a single gap, making them exceptionally convenient to retrieve.
In less than half an hour, the RV on the left was completely tidied up. The rear horizontal bed was stocked with staple foods and dry rations, the cabinets were full of canned goods and seasonings, and all kitchenware and ingredients were available. It had completely transformed into a functional and well-organized exclusive kitchen.
Mo Yufei swept a glance over the orderly cabin and nodded with satisfaction. From now on, this would be his exclusive kitchen; cooking and storing ingredients would all be done here, which was convenient and saved effort.
After settling the kitchen RV on the left, Mo Yufei walked straight toward the RV on the other side, intending to convert it into an exclusive tool room.
He first pushed open the door of the RV on the right and simply cleared out the scattered sundries inside, leaving sufficient space for operation and storage.
Then, with a thought and coordinated with spatial transportation, all the tools and hardware accessories piled next to the RV were continuously moved into the vehicle.
Various tools such as military shovels, hammers, wrenches, screwdrivers, electric saws, electric drills, and folding ladders were hung on the tool rack on the inner wall of the cabin. They were arranged neatly by length, ready to be used at any time.
Small hardware accessories such as metal sheets were categorized and packed into storage boxes and bins, then neatly stacked on the RV's storage cabinets and lower shelves. Small items were clearly categorized, so they would never be messy or hard to find again.
A spacious area was specially left in the middle of the cabin, flat and wide, enough for him to grind parts, craft handmade items, and repair equipment, fully meeting the needs of daily manual operations.
Looking at the packed and orderly tool room, where various tools and hardware were within reach and the workspace was spacious and convenient, Mo Yufei's eyes were full of satisfaction.
From now on, this would be his exclusive tool workshop area. Whether repairing equipment or making handmade items, everything could be completed here with peace of mind—practical and convenient.
Mo Yufei remembered the various fuels—gasoline, diesel, and spare fuel tanks—that hadn't been sorted yet in the Storage Space. They were all key supplies for maintaining vehicle operations and subsequently powering the RV. Earlier, he had been busy organizing other supplies and had actually forgotten this most important thing.
Fuel is a flammable and explosive substance, and its storage location must not be taken lightly.
Mo Yufei paced slowly around his residence, carefully examining the surrounding terrain. After repeated deliberation, he finally selected the open flat ground to the left of the residence.
This place was far from the living areas such as the RV bedroom and kitchen, avoiding fire and power sources. The terrain was flat and dry, and the ventilation was good, which could reduce safety hazards while still being close enough to the parked vehicles and the tool RV for convenient access later.
