68: Chapter 68 Returning to the Fragmented World

The Federal Agent's expression turned serious again, and he looked at Mo Yufei with a sincere gaze.

"Mr. Mo, according to instructions from the Federal Bureau of Investigation headquarters, we need your cooperation to return to the secret realm with us. We will enter the Fragment World to assist in confirming the situation on-site and, at the same time, identify that newly discovered human survivor to confirm if they are indeed one of your kin."

He softened his tone, adding with a touch of reassurance and sincerity:

"Just rest assured and cooperate; we won't let you go through all this trouble for nothing. The Federation will provide you with generous compensation in credit coins according to the special assistance standard. Based on the information you registered, your physique is no different from an ordinary person's, so the Federation will provide you with a special-grade genetic serum. Additionally, we will grant you partial access rights within the Federation and supply quotas as compensation."

The other Federal Agent chimed in at the right moment, his expression solemn: "With you, a native of the Fragment World, present to identify them, we can save a significant amount of time on investigation and verification, and confirm the identity and origin of that survivor much faster."

Mo Yufei's heart tightened instantly, and he thought to himself that trouble had come knocking.

If he really went to meet them, the other party only needed to say a few words, and the story he fabricated about the Yanhuang Tribe would be exposed immediately.

But he knew clearly that there was no room for refusal at this moment. Since the Federation had offered conditions and applied pressure under the guise of confirming his kin, refusing outright would only arouse their suspicion, and the lies he had carefully woven would likely be exposed directly.

There was no other way; he could only take it one step at a time.

Mo Yufei gritted his teeth inwardly, having already prepared for the worst.

At worst, if the situation went wrong, he would just run away. With his current strength, getting rid of the Federal Agents' restraint would not be difficult.

If it weren't for the fact that the supplies he ordered earlier on the interstellar shopping platform hadn't arrived yet—supplies that were crucial for his subsequent survival—

and the fact that he hadn't finished testing the amount of energy crystals needed to upgrade the secret realm—he had no idea if it would be enough—he would have left right now and wouldn't be stalling here at all.

Moreover, he had seen what energy crystals looked like before; they were core resources for increasing strength and upgrading the secret realm, and they were extremely rare.

Following the Federation team into the Fragment World might actually allow him to use their investigation to search for energy crystals openly. If he encountered any, he could take the opportunity to pocket them—getting as many as he could—which, for him, was actually a rare opportunity.

As long as he sensed the slightest sign of trouble and confirmed that his lies were about to be exposed, he would escape immediately; no one could stop him.

Having thought this through, the hesitation in Mo Yufei's eyes gradually dissipated, replaced by a firm determination mixed with anticipation, and his face showed a hint of being moved.

"Fine, I'll go with you. As long as I can confirm if they are my kin, I will cooperate with whatever is needed."

Mo Yufei spoke with such sincerity that one couldn't detect the hidden plan to run away or the calculations in his heart.

Seeing this, both Federal Agents looked relieved and nodded one after another, immediately setting about arranging the details for heading to the secret realm.

As soon as he agreed to go to the secret realm, Mo Yufei seemed to suddenly remember something important. He abruptly changed the subject and looked at the two Federal Agents.

"By the way, could you wait for an hour? The things I bought on the interstellar shopping platform are about to be delivered. Once I receive the packages, I will set off with you immediately. I definitely won't delay too long."

The two agents exchanged glances. The leader spoke gently, his tone conveying understanding: "Mr. Mo, the Federation's smart delivery will automatically drop the packages off in the designated receiving area, so they won't be lost. This trip to the Fragment World is just for an on-site confirmation; it won't take too long. It will be perfectly fine to retrieve them after we return."

He paused, then added, "Of course, if what you bought is particularly important and must be carried with you, we can wait a little longer; there is no rush."

Hearing this, Mo Yufei's heart, which had been hanging in suspense, instantly settled, and he secretly breathed a sigh of relief.

The food, clothing, and various survival tools he had ordered on the shopping platform were secondary; the most critical things were the functional robots he had entrusted Wang Chen to purchase urgently on his behalf.

Now that they were about to be delivered, these robots were his reliance for his subsequent survival. Only by putting them all into his exclusive space could he feel completely at ease.

If such a large batch of supplies couldn't be taken along and were left behind in this world, his heart would ache terribly.

Suppressing the relief in his heart, Mo Yufei showed a simple, slightly embarrassed smile on his face and thanked the two agents repeatedly.

"Thank you both for your understanding. I haven't been in this world for long and am still not used to everything around me. These things are all necessities for survival. If I don't carry them with me personally, I never feel at ease. Sorry for the trouble, and thank you for waiting for me a little longer."

Having received the Federal Agents' agreement to wait, Mo Yufei didn't dare to delay for a single moment. He quickly raised his wrist, his fingertips tapping rapidly on the smart bracelet on his wrist.

The bracelet screen lit up instantly, and Mo Yufei operated it directly to jump to his personal order page on the interstellar shopping platform.

Densely packed pending delivery orders were listed there, and the several urgent orders labeled "robots" at the very top were currently showing a "delivering" status.

His breathing was slightly rapid, his eyes fixed tightly on the screen. His fingertips didn't pause for a second; he clicked the special urgent delivery button for all pending orders without hesitation, whether they were food, clothing, tools, or the most critical bionic robots.

Immediately afterward, he entered numbers into the tipping interface without hesitation, tipping ten thousand credit coins for every important order. His fingers tapped rapidly, feeling not a shred of heartache.

If not for the sliver of reason remaining in his heart—knowing that if the tip amount was too high and exceeded the platform's normal scope, it would likely trigger a system anomaly detection and instead delay the delivery time—he would have loved to throw even more credit coins at it to make the delivery drones arrive at the fastest possible speed.

At this moment, his mind was entirely focused on getting these supplies into his space as quickly as possible. He didn't want to wait a single second longer, fearing complications would arise.

During a pause in his operations, his peripheral vision swept over the account balance page. Seeing the over 5.6 million credit coins displayed, a trace of regret crossed his heart.

He had originally intended to use this money to purchase more resources and upgrade the secret realm's equipment, but right now, there was simply no time to spend it all slowly.

The most urgent task was to obtain the important supplies; as for the remaining money, it wouldn't be too late to deal with it later when he was safe.

In just a few short tens of minutes, a low, deep humming sound came from outside the apartment building. A group of silver-gray, small, floating transport aircraft landed slowly in neat formation, their fuselages printed with the exclusive logo of the interstellar express, occupying most of the open space downstairs.

The bracelet on Mo Yufei's wrist instantly popped up a light screen notification that the goods had arrived. He got up immediately, his gaze sweeping over the warm, clear tea that Xiaorou had just brewed by the table. Without the slightest hesitation, he grabbed the teacup and drank it all in one gulp.

As the warmth of the tea slid down his throat, a thought moved in his mind, and he activated his space. The bionic robot Xiaorou beside him shimmered with a pale silver light and was instantly taken into the space.

After doing all this, he turned his head and nodded to the two waiting Federal Agents to signal: "The items have arrived. I'm going downstairs to get them."

The two Federal Agents also stood up in response and followed Mo Yufei quickly downstairs, walking straight toward the large parcel receiving area below the apartment building.

Ordinarily, small express packages would be delivered directly to the door, but the quantity of supplies Mo Yufei had ordered this time was too vast, so the system had automatically changed the delivery receiving location and specifically arranged it in this open, designated area.

At this moment, the receiving area had already been cordoned off to create an open space. Dozens of floating transport aircraft were parked nearby, and loading robotic arms were transporting the cargo in an orderly manner.

And the most eye-catching sight was two jet-black, fully armed guard robots, which were guarding 10 black sealed boxes of varying sizes.

The boxes were placed in pairs, exactly corresponding to the 5 different types of bionic robots Mo Yufei had entrusted Wang Chen to purchase on his behalf. Just by looking at the specifications of the boxes, one could guess the precision and weight of the equipment inside.

Mo Yufei walked up quickly. Under the identity verification authorization of the armed robots, he walked straight toward the largest cube-shaped black box.

The robotic arm automatically unlocked the box, the lid popped open slowly, the shock-absorbing cushioning material inside was quickly stripped away, and a four-legged, wheeled, spider-shaped robot was revealed.

He had no time to activate and debug it on the spot. His fingertips quickly swiped across the sign-off interface on his bracelet, and he pressed the one-click sign-off button. All the express orders instantly showed as signed for.

The space in front of Mo Yufei surged suddenly. The mountain-like pile of sealed boxes in front of him was taken into his space in the blink of an eye, and the ground was emptied instantly.

This commotion of storing supplies, combined with the spectacle of the swarms of floating transport aircraft, had long since attracted quite a few residents in the apartment building to stop and watch. The crowd was discussing it heatedly, their eyes filled with curiosity and surprise as they pointed toward Mo Yufei's direction.

But Mo Yufei didn't care at all; there wasn't the slightest ripple in his eyes.

He had already prepared to run away at any time, so he wasn't afraid of exposing his space ability at all. These watching gazes and discussions were meaningless to him.

He turned his head and looked at the Federal Agents beside him, his tone flat: "The items are all put away. We can set off for the secret realm now."

Watching his method of storing the supplies, there was surprise in the two agents' eyes. The space ability had been noted in his file, but they hadn't expected it to be so large.

The two agents didn't ask any more questions either. They nodded immediately, followed Mo Yufei as he turned, and headed toward the Federation's exclusive vehicle, preparing to set off for the Fragment World secret realm.
