52: Chapter 52 Spatial Abilities

Wang Chen glanced at the virtual screen on his bracelet. It clearly displayed a notification that the energy crystal mine was being prepared, with the system indicating an estimated delivery time of another hour and a half.

He casually mentioned this information to Mo Yufei.

Upon hearing this, Mo Yufei was slightly stunned, his eyes filled with confusion, and he couldn't help but ask, "An hour and a half? Is it really that fast?"

In his previous understanding, for such valuable and scarce materials, transferring stock, going through procedures, and verifying permissions would take at least a day or two; he had never seen anything delivered in just two hours.

Seeing his surprised expression, Wang Chen smiled faintly and explained, "The warehousing and logistics system in Tieyuan City is inherently well-developed. Plus, we are using a high-end exclusive preparation channel, so we don't have to queue with the general public or go through standard procedures. Everything is allocated directly from nearby secret realm warehouses, so naturally, it's much faster."

"By the time we finish eating and shopping at the mall, we should be able to get the goods right when we return. The timing works out perfectly."

Mo Yufei nodded in realization, inwardly marveling at the resource allocation efficiency of Tieyuan City; it was certainly incomparable to his own world.

He raised his hand and lightly pressed the smart bracelet on his wrist. The surface of the bracelet instantly lit up with a circle of glowing blue light, and a translucent virtual screen popped out from thin air, hovering in mid-air.

His fingertips slid quickly across the light screen, opening the travel interface, where he skillfully selected the destination and directly booked a nearby hover car.

Wang Chen, watching from the side, said casually, "You really know how to save trouble. Booking a hover car directly works out perfectly—by the time we finish shopping at the mall and come back, the energy crystal mine should be arriving just about right."

Mo Yufei's gaze fell on the successful booking notification interface, and he responded indifferently before burying his head back into his meal.

Not long after, Mo Yufei had barely eaten half of the dazzling array of delicacies on the table before his stomach was too full to hold even a morsel more.

He decided not to eat any more, simply waving his hand lightly. The remaining dishes, along with the exquisite tableware, were all swept into his personal spatial equipment. His movements were fluid and completely natural.

Wang Chen, observing this scene clearly from the side, instantly widened his eyes in disbelief, his tone full of astonishment: "You actually have spatial equipment?"

Mo Yufei asked in confusion, "I saw spatial equipment for sale on the shopping platform. Is it very rare?"

Mo Yufei thought that since spatial equipment was available on the shopping platform, although expensive, it shouldn't be too rare, right? That was why he had used his system space.

Wang Chen thought that in a place like Tieyuan City, spatial storage treasures had always been extremely rare and highly valuable. Only core members of major factions and top experts possessed them; ordinary people could rarely even catch a glimpse of one.

He really hadn't expected Mo Yufei to be hiding such a rare treasure.

Immediately, he composed his expression, leaned closer to Mo Yufei, and lowered his voice to earnestly warn him: "You must keep your spatial equipment well hidden and never reveal it easily."

His gaze was grave as he continued, "Don't take this lightly. In this era, spatial equipment is a top-tier rarity; even the cheapest one on the market is worth fifty million credit coins."

"You should understand the principle of not flaunting wealth. Once you are targeted by someone with ill intentions, it will inevitably lead to trouble and might even attract the covetous eyes of major factions, bringing disaster upon yourself for no reason."

Upon hearing this, Mo Yufei frowned slightly, his eyes full of confusion. He looked at Wang Chen and asked incomprehensively, "Those top factions have deep foundations and countless treasures; would they really care about this one ordinary piece of spatial equipment of mine?"

In his understanding, major top-tier factions held vast resources and countless rare treasures; a mere storage item should not be worthy of their attention, and there was no need for them to make such a big fuss over it.

Seeing this, Wang Chen shook his head gently, his expression exceptionally serious, and he lowered his voice to patiently explain: "Don't think of it too simply. While top factions do have their own collections, spatial equipment is inherently scarce in quantity."

He paused, then continued, "Furthermore, others don't know your background; they will only be fixated on this treasure of yours."

"In their eyes, regardless of the grade, as long as it is spatial equipment capable of personal storage, it is worth fighting over."

"Not to mention that once someone targets you, they will only assume you have more than just this one treasure and will follow the clues to dig out more of your opportunities and valuables—then you'll be in big trouble."

"Keeping one's wealth hidden is never making a mountain out of a molehill. The larger the city or settlement, the more complex people's hearts become, and the more covetousness and scheming there are. You must never be careless."

Wang Chen's expression became increasingly grave. He leaned closer to Mo Yufei and lowered his voice to solemnly warn him: "There is one more thing you must remember firmly: you currently have no identity and no background in the Main World."

"Once someone deliberately investigates your background, they can easily find out that you are someone who just crossed over from a Fragment World to the Main World."

His gaze darkened, his tone carrying a hint of warning: "Once those factions finish thoroughly investigating the Fragment World you came from and confirm that there are no top experts stationed there, no hidden major sects, and no formidable foundations, and confirm that you are truly alone and without support, then you will be in real danger."

"At that point, it won't just be your spatial equipment they covet; your background, the opportunities you possess, and the resources left behind in the Fragment World will all become reasons for others to target you."

"Without status or backing, yet carrying heavy treasures, in a place like Tieyuan City where fish and dragons mix, you are most easily treated as fat meat that can be squeezed at will."

Hearing this, Mo Yufei was shocked, his brows knitting tightly together. Only then did he realize that his situation of having no foundation in the Main World was far more dangerous than he had imagined.

Yet Mo Yufei smiled faintly, his expression calm; he was not at all frightened by Wang Chen's warning.

He calmly explained, "Don't worry, this is not ordinary spatial equipment."

"This is an internally contained space bound to my own life force, fused at the root with my soul and physical body. It is not an object that can be traded or snatched away like those in the outside world."

Mo Yufei looked at Wang Chen, his eyes filled with a certain confidence: "Even if others want to steal it, it's useless. They cannot forcibly strip it away, nor can they forcibly break it open to occupy it. Aside from myself, no one can pry into or take away this space."

"Even if someone captures me and searches my body, they won't be able to detect a single trace of spatial fluctuation."

Wang Chen was stunned upon hearing this, his face full of surprise, and for a moment, he couldn't regain his composure.

Wang Chen remained stunned for a good while before slowly reacting, his eyes filled with realization and shock.

He looked at Mo Yufei as if suddenly enlightened, and said in a deep voice: "So that's how it is. You are actually a Spatial Ability User."

He paused, then patiently explained the rules of this world to Mo Yufei: "In our world, the number of people who can awaken a Spatial Ability is already very few; it is extremely scarce."

"Most awakened ones only possess the ability for short-distance spatial teleportation. There are also some Array Masters who can rely on setting up spatial arrays to achieve point-to-point movement."

"The earliest spatial equipment in the world was created when Spatial Ability Users intercepted a wisp of their own space and integrated it into artificially refined stable crystal cores, thus crafting storage items like spatial rings."

"There are also storage implements replicated by relying on spatial arrays, but those have extremely small capacities and are very prone to damage and collapse."

"Only when a Spatial Ability User actively divides their own source space and integrates it into an implement can the resulting spatial equipment be the most stable."

"But the price is huge; the divided source space can never be restored, and the loss is permanent."

"Therefore, the vast majority of Spatial Ability Users will never easily sell the spatial treasures they have crafted, unless they are truly in urgent need of credit coins and have run out of other options."

Wang Chen sighed, his tone full of envy: "In our era, as long as one awakens a Spatial Ability, it basically equates to reaching the top in one step and soaring to success; all major factions would scramble to recruit them."

After speaking, his eyes moved as if he had thought of something, and he tentatively asked: "By the way, in your ancient cultivation era, it probably wasn't called Ability awakening, right? Back in your time, you must have called this innate ability a Source Talent, right?"

Mo Yufei nodded slightly upon hearing this, inwardly agreeing with the other's statement. After all, in the novels he had read, cultivators awakening their own source Dao rhymes and the Ability awakening of this world indeed had similar essential characteristics.

He inwardly complained, but he could only go along with the other person's words and accept the term 'Source Talent'.

Otherwise, how else could he explain it? He couldn't just bluntly say that this was a dedicated life-bound space that came with his system, could he?
