65: Chapter 65 FBI

The next morning, the morning light spilled into the apartment through the floor-to-ceiling windows. The room was at a pleasant temperature, quiet and serene.

Mo Yufei was sleeping deeply when suddenly, a cold, melodious female voice rang out not far outside the door, its tone formal and respectful:

"Master, there are guests visiting outside."

It was the voice of that cold-type female android—neither coquettish nor charming, but clean and crisp. It woke one from their slumber just right, without feeling abrupt.

The moment the voice entered his ears, Mo Yufei woke up with a start from his deep sleep. He opened his eyes abruptly, his consciousness quickly returning, and he immediately pushed himself up to a sitting position.

The gentle-type android beside him also slowly sat up in sync. Her expression was calm and indifferent, her demeanor elegant and composed. Without haste, she raised her hand to help Mo Yufei tidy his clothes, while she herself dressed neatly in an orderly manner.

Mo Yufei rubbed his throbbing brow, feeling a bit lazy and weary, sighing inwardly.

Last night, he had been checking the various functions of this android and had been at it until very late. He had gone to sleep far too late and had unknowingly slept until broad daylight.

He steadied himself, shaking off a bit of his sleepiness, and looked toward the door, preparing to get up and see who it was. Could it be Wang Chen? He went back so late yesterday; why would he come so early?

Mo Yufei tidied his clothes, walked out of the bedroom, and slowly made his way to the spacious and bright living room.

The whole-house smart system had long since started automatically. The invisible electronic eye at the entrance instantly captured the visitors outside, projecting their three-dimensional holographic images onto the floating light screen in the center of the living room in real-time.

The image on the light screen was incredibly clear. Standing outside the door were two men with upright postures and serious expressions, dressed in solemn and orderly uniform workwear. Their shoulder straps and chest badges were quickly scanned and identified by the smart system.

The next moment, lines of analytical annotation text automatically popped up beside the images, listing the translations of their clothing markings and identity information item by item, clearly displayed before Mo Yufei's eyes.

[ Identity Identification: Federal Bureau of Investigation Field Agent ]

[ Affiliated Agency: Federal Security Investigation Bureau ]

[ Authority Level: Field Special Investigation Authority ]

[ Reason for Visit: No appointment record entered, impromptu visit ]

The data on the light screen kept refreshing, fully analyzing all the official information corresponding to the uniform patterns and agency emblems on the two men, conspicuously marking the exclusive logo of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Mo Yufei stood where he was, his gaze fixed on the holographic images and identity annotations on the floating light screen, his brows slightly furrowed.

The few female androids nearby who were still tidying up immediately stopped their movements and stood quietly, ready to await Mo Yufei's instructions at any time. Their expressions were calm and ripple-free, silently maintaining a state of alert standby.

The atmosphere in the living room instantly became heavy. Benboba flapped its wings and landed on the edge of the coffee table, its emerald green feathers slightly tensed. Its round eyes stared fixedly at the light screen floating with the images of the Federal Agents, not daring to be playful in the slightest.

Xiao Hei crouched in the center of the living room, its ears pricked straight up, its black fur faintly bristling, its gaze sharply fixed on the direction of the door, looking guarded.

Mo Yufei looked at the eye-catching words "Federal Bureau of Investigation" on the light screen, his heart sinking.

He was a newcomer here, with no relatives or connections, so being sought out by Federal Agents surely meant something suspicious was afoot.

He did not delay in the slightest. He immediately calmed his mind and communicated quietly with his spirit pets via telepathy, his voice transmitting steadily into their minds: "Benboba, Xiao Hei, take the androids and return to the Secret Realm."

Xiao Hei immediately lowered its body, acknowledging the order. Benboba also folded its wings and quietly pulled in its form. Da Bai, Xiao Bai, and Xue Rong all cooperated fully.

The power of space surged quietly, and ripples of space, soft yet clear, appeared in the air of the living room.

The next second, except for the gentle-type android standing by Mo Yufei's side—whom he had named Xiao Rou last night—the other nine female androids of various styles, as well as Xiao Hei and the others, had their forms slightly blur and were retracted into the Secret Realm.

The living room instantly became much quieter, with only Mo Yufei and Xiao Rou remaining.

Xiao Rou stood quietly to the side, the pale blue light patterns in her eyes flickering gently. Her expression remained gentle, without the slightest panic, and she maintained a docile, standby posture throughout, fully complying with Mo Yufei's instruction to keep her behind.

Mo Yufei took a deep breath, suppressing the waves in his heart. He raised his hand and gently brushed away a non-existent wrinkle on the corner of his clothes. His gaze returned to the floating holographic light screen, his eyes becoming calm and determined. He commanded the smart system in a deep voice: "Open the door."

The two Federal Agents stepped slowly into the living room, their gazes steady, their demeanor polite and measured, without the slightest bit of intrusive arrogance.

After the smart door closed automatically, the lead agent spoke in a calm tone, getting straight to the point about the true purpose of this trip.

"Mr. Mo, we have come to visit you today mainly to inquire about something regarding the Fragment World. The Federal investigation team entered the relevant Secret Realm area to search, but never found any human tribes, nor did we discover any traces of human activity."

He paused slightly, his gaze landing on Mo Yufei, and continued: "Your records registered with the Federation show that you were originally in a long-term slumber in the Fragment World, and it was the violent spatial fluctuations caused by the Fragment World connecting to the outside world that woke you from your sleep. We would like to ask you, where exactly was the location where you first woke up? Additionally, do you know the location of the core of this Fragment World?"

Speaking of this, the agent's tone became even more polite, throwing out a highly tempting condition: "If you know the location of the Fragment World's core and are willing to tell us truthfully, the Federation is willing to give you 10 billion credit coins directly as a reward."

Mo Yufei's expression remained calm on the surface, but waves were surging in his heart. He listened impassively, pretending to be thoughtful.

At this moment, the two agents had other calculations in their minds.

The special Federal detection instruments they carried had long since captured a wisp of an extremely obscure, profound, and heavy aura of world will on Mo Yufei.

The instrument could only determine that this was a weak fluctuation similar to a world core, but it was extremely faint and did not possess the energy volume of a complete Fragment World core.

In the perception of the Federal Agents, they only assumed this wisp of aura was the lingering resonance of the Fragment core that Mo Yufei had inadvertently picked up while sleeping in the Fragment World.

They did not know that this wisp of world will aura did not belong to that Fragment World at all.

It was the origin aura emitted by Mo Yufei's own Taoyuan Secret Realm.

His soul was the core foundation of the Taoyuan Secret Realm itself. It was only because the Taoyuan Secret Realm formed its own world with special properties and carried its own secret shielding laws that it would not be thoroughly traced and seen through by the detection equipment of this future world.

And after Mo Yufei transmigrated and arrived in this world, his soul and the Secret Realm remained firmly connected, their origins resonating at the same frequency, which was why a faint, leaked wisp of aura was captured by the Federal instruments.

The Federal Agents had no way of knowing this secret truth, and even Mo Yufei himself was completely oblivious at this moment, having not yet seen through this ultimate connection between his own soul and the Secret Realm.

He steadied himself, maintaining a calm expression on his face as he looked at the two Federal Agents waiting politely for an answer, preparing to weigh his words and cautiously handle this inquiry.
