104: Chapter 104 Dynasties and Kingdoms?

From a distance, Lin Tian took in the entire performance of the Minotaur Chief across from him—his initial arrogance followed by subservience, and his inward cowardice despite his outward bluster.

When he heard the terms "Minotaur Kingdom" and "Purple Moon Dynasty," a sharp light flashed in his eyes. His gaze, which had originally carried murderous intent, instantly shifted into a look of deep reflection and inquiry.

"Minotaur Kingdom... Purple Moon Dynasty..." he repeated in a low voice. "So that's it. Is this the landscape of the native powers on this continent? An orc kingdom and a human empire... bordering each other, hostile..."

Previously, from the regional channel and scattered bits of information, he only had a vague concept of the macro-background of the Eternal Continent.

At this moment, from the mouth of this native chief, he finally caught a glimpse of a corner of the real world map. The value of this information was perhaps no less than the victory of a battle.

"It seems I can't just slaughter him directly for now." Lin Tian instantly changed his mind. The thunderous strike he had originally planned shifted into a more targeted tactic.

He needed a survivor. He needed to pry more information about the native powers, geography, and even how the natives viewed the "Otherworld Lords" from the mouth of this chief, who clearly knew quite a lot of inside information.

He turned his head to look at Lin Yin beside him and found that she was also frowning slightly, as if she were chewing over the terms "Minotaur Kingdom" and "Purple Moon Dynasty."

Sensing Lin Tian's gaze, she quickly snapped back to attention. Her clear eyes looked toward him with inquiry, as if waiting for him to hand down the final order: to fight, to talk, or something else?

Lin Tian shook his head slightly at her, signaling her to remain calm. He redirected his gaze toward Chief Kulu, the Minotaur in the distance who was still putting up a front.

"Minotaur Kingdom? Purple Moon Dynasty?" He channeled a trace of energy within his body, allowing his voice to carry over steadily. It wasn't loud, yet it clearly suppressed the sound of the wind, carrying a sort of condescending amusement. "Chief Kulu, I'm afraid... you've mistaken us for someone else. We are not from the Purple Moon Dynasty."

He paused for a moment. Amidst Kulu's suddenly suspicious and uncertain gaze, he slowly continued, his tone abruptly turning cold like a northern winter wind:

"As for whose territory this is... very soon, you will have your answer."

Lin Tian did not respond to Chief Kulu's blustering questions and threats; he didn't even have the interest to spare him another glance. Turning his head slightly, his gaze fell upon Lin Yin, who stood quietly beside him like a slender bamboo under the moon. His voice was calm yet carried an unquestionable decisiveness:

"Lin Yin, do you see that Gold-rank Minotaur Chief?" He tilted his chin, pointing toward Kulu, who was currently forcing himself to stay calm at the very front of the array.

"Mm." Lin Yin's gaze was cold and clear. She had long since locked onto Kulu and merely gave a soft hum of confirmation upon hearing him.

"When the fight starts, keep a death grip on him." Lin Tian's tone was indifferent, as if he were ordering a trivial matter. "Cripple him, leave him with a breath of life, but don't kill him. I want the things inside his head."

"Understood." Lin Yin's reply was as brief as ever, but her fingers holding the moonlight longbow adjusted their position imperceptibly. The moonlight flowing over the bowstring seemed to become even more condensed and icy.

The aura around her didn't surge; instead, it became more restrained, like a volcano before an eruption. All its destructive power was compressed within that quiet body and the bowstring poised for action.

Immediately after, Lin Tian turned his gaze toward Lin Feng, who was already poised like an unsheathed sword, and the one thousand Epic-rank elites behind him. He said:

"Lin Feng, your mission, along with the Golden Armored Spearmans, Pale Moon Hunters, and Void Ranger, is to kill all Silver-rank Minotaur leaders at the fastest speed. Leave none behind; completely dismantle their command layer. For the rest of the enemies, focus on wounding and routing them, leaving them for the new recruits behind to harvest experience. This battle is also the time to test your new abilities."

"This general obeys! I shall certainly let this herd of bulls witness the meaning of true sharpness!" Lin Feng's mental response carried a burning battle intent, and the crimson gold coiling dragon spear in his hand trembled slightly, letting out a low hum.

With the arrangements settled, Lin Tian leisurely redirected his gaze to the battlefield. A hint of an interested smile even played at the corners of his mouth, as if he were not commanding an offense-defense battle of tens of thousands, but rather enjoying a play that was about to open with an already decided ending.

"By the way, let me take a good look at what kind of surprises the Golden Armored Spearmans' 'Golden Spirit Power,' the Pale Moon Hunters' 'Myriad Manifestations of the Forest,' and the Void Ranger' elusive 'Dimensional Rending Arrow' can bring."

Chief Kulu saw that his attempts at intimidation and borrowing prestige had not only failed to make the humans across from him retreat, but had instead earned him only a silent contempt and the sight of the human leader whispering to his subordinate. The last shred of hope in his heart completely shattered.

Especially when that human leader turned his head back to look at him, the half-smile on his lips and the undisguised indifference and amusement in his eyes sent a chill from Kulu's tailbone straight to the top of his head.

"Moo!! Bastards! Humans, you go too far!" Kulu was both terrified and enraged, letting out a thunderous, fuming roar that made his nose ring shake violently. "Boys! For the tribe! For the glory of the Kingdom! Kill all these invaders!!"

He knew there was no retreat, only battle! Although the enemy's military strength was terrifying, he relied on his Gold-rank strength and the three thousand fierce warriors under his command. It wasn't impossible to put up a desperate fight—at the very least... at the very least, he would tear a piece of flesh off the opponent!

Amidst his wild roars, the bloodlust of the Minotaur warriors was also triggered. Staring with bloodshot eyes like copper bells, they brandished battleaxes and giant clubs, letting out heaven-shaking war cries as they launched a counter-charge against the slowly advancing human vanguard!

The heavy sound of hoofbeats made the earth tremble slightly. The momentum of three thousand Minotaurs charging was indeed quite imposing.

However, this seemingly ferocious charge, at the moment of contact between the two sides, was like slamming into an invisible wall of sighs composed of steel, moonlight, and death!

The Golden Armored Spearmans moved.

Facing the galloping torrent of Minotaurs, those two hundred soldiers in dark gold armor not only didn't retreat but instead stepped forward in unison.

With their silver-and-gold colored long spears pointed diagonally, a blinding golden light suddenly erupted from the spear tips!

"Golden Spirit Power, activate!"

Low roars emanated from beneath their visors. In an instant, the two hundred long spears seemed to transform into two hundred streaks of burning golden lightning! On the spear shafts, the flowing dark gold patterns instantly lit up, and an unparalleled sharp aura soared into the sky! They formed a tight, small wedge-shaped assault formation with Lin Feng as the arrowhead, and like a red-hot knife cutting through butter, they slammed into the Minotaur charge formation!

Puchi! Kacha! Boom!

Attacks buffed by Golden Spirit Power were absolutely terrifying!

The Minotaur warriors' thick leather armor, tough skin, and even the iron axes and shields they used for blocking were as fragile as paper before the golden spear tips imbued with the properties of "Sharpness" and "Armor Piercing"!

As the long spears pierced through, they not only caused massive penetration wounds, but the wounds were also infused with a hard-to-dispel "Golden Spirit Qi," which constantly eroded flesh and blood, hindered healing, and caused blood to gush out like a fountain!
