33: Chapter 33 Altar Changes and Healing Priests

With Lin Feng and Lin Yin, two captains, having successively completed their stunning legendary and mythical evolutions, the immense energy fluctuations not only shocked all the recruits but also seemed to trigger a deeper change. Lin Tian inadvertently looked up at the militia recruitment altar standing in the center of the territory and was shocked to find it completely different from before.

The entire altar seemed to have been washed and reshaped by an invisible force; the rough stone surface had become smooth as a mirror, presenting a warm, jade-white luster.

The altar itself emitted a soft, stable pale golden glow, clearly visible even in daylight, illuminating this area with solemnity and divinity. Most notably, beside the originally blurry unit reliefs on the main body of the altar, three new, clear, and spiritual patterns had appeared.

On the left was the "Crimson Sun Soaring Sky Painting": In the center of the pattern, the phantom of a divine general clad in gold-red battle armor and holding a coiled dragon spear stood proudly, with a blazing sun above his head, radiating infinite majesty and scorching fighting spirit—it was the heroic posture of the Crimson Sun Divine General, Lin Feng!

On the right was the "Crescent Moon Patrolling Sky Painting": The phantom of a holy maiden dressed in moon-bright holy robes and holding a spirit bow stood under a crescent moon, her body flowing with cold silver radiance—it was the incarnation of the Holy Envoy of the Profound Moon, Lin Yin!

And on the back of the altar, a place he hadn't noticed before, a "Mystic Rock Suppressing Mountain Painting" now appeared:

A phantom with a tall stature, as if carved from ancient mountain rock, stood with arms crossed in a posture of supporting the sky and stepping on the ground. Thick black-yellow light formed a solid barrier, as if it could withstand any impact, steady as a mountain, immovable—this was clearly the symbol of the Mystic Rock Spirit Guard!

It stood to reason that there should have been changes when Lin Yan evolved last time, but perhaps the light or the changes then were not as earth-shattering as the birth of the two legendary and mythical figures today, so Lin Tian had overlooked it.

"The altar has also evolved? It seems that the Fusion Evolution of the units is truly nourishing this altar in return." Lin Tian realized, feeling more awe and anticipation for this mysterious altar.

After his reflection, he withdrew his mind. Facing the dense crowd of nearly a thousand recruits and three hundred veterans before him, he began today's unprecedented feast of Fusion!

Bringing out the resources, the brilliance of wood and moon birch spirit wood intertwined. Three hundred female Militia stepped forward in batches, first transforming into Archers in a soft green light, lifting simple wooden bows; immediately after, silver-white light like moonlight rose, and the bows in their hands turned into spirit wood longbows, vine armor covered with silver patterns, their eyes becoming sharp—all of them promoted to Moon Shadow Archers!

Six hundred male Militia were divided into two halves. Half, amidst the clanging sounds of iron ore and Refined Iron, were covered in iron armor and held long spears, transforming into a phalanx of Heavy Armored Spearmen with cold, biting light. The other half, shrouded in earth-yellow light, had their skin fuse with rock, turning into Rock Armor Soldiers with thick bodies, silent and reliable.

Lin Tian selected two hundred from the newly fused Rock Armor Soldiers, adding the ninety veteran Rock Armor Soldiers who hadn't evolved yet. He fused black-yellow stones into their bodies one by one. The thick, yellowish-brown light flashed one after another, as if the power of the earth was resonating!

One after another, taller Mystic Rock Spirit Guards with deeper black-yellow armor and powerful auras rose up. Adding the 10 fused yesterday, the total reached 300!

Looking at the undisguised envy and a trace of disappointment in the eyes of the remaining 100 Rock Armor Soldiers, Lin Tian walked up to them, his voice loud and sincere: "Brothers, I see your tenacity!"

"It is not that you are not excellent enough, but that there are not enough black-yellow stones for the moment. I, Lin Tian, promise here that by tomorrow at the latest, I will definitely let you complete the evolution and don this black-yellow battle armor! Today, your rock armor is still the most solid barrier of the territory!"

Having received the Lord's personal promise, the disappointment in the eyes of these hundred Rock Armor Soldiers was quickly replaced by determined fighting spirit, and they shouted in unison: "Swear to defend the territory to the death!"

Looking at the remaining 30 female soldiers, a bold idea sprouted in Lin Tian's mind: "The team can hold the line and fight, but it lacks healers! Healing Potions... perhaps it could work?" He decided to take a risk.

"You, step out." He pointed to a female soldier in the front row with clear eyes and a hint of nervousness.

"I... me? Lord?" The female soldier was somewhat incredulous.

"Yes, it's you." Lin Tian smiled kindly and took out a bottle of Healing Potion he had spent 3 spirit crystals to buy, the crystalline green liquid rippling in the bottle. He activated the Fusion talent, and a soft white light enveloped the female soldier and the potion.

The light dissipated, and a young girl in a pale green knee-length dress, holding a simple short staff inlaid with an emerald gem, appeared on the spot. She was filled with a reassuring aura of life, her eyes gentle and firm.

Lin Tian immediately checked the panel:

[Fusion successful! Militia -> Spirit Healing Priest]

[Unit Quality: Ordinary Low-grade -> Rare Mid-grade]

[Growth Potential: Silver 6-star]

Skills:

[Primary Healing: Condense life energy to quickly heal the target's wounds, effective for ordinary injuries.]

[Life Aura: Stimulate a continuous life energy field, covering a ten-meter radius, slowly restoring the stamina of friendly forces within range and alleviating mental fatigue.]

[Current Level: black iron 1-star]

"It worked! And it's a rare quality support unit!" Lin Tian was overjoyed, "From today on, we also have a team with a healer! Exploration endurance and battlefield survivability will be greatly improved!"

Without hesitation, he immediately took out all the remaining 14 bottles of Healing Potions in stock, and quickly purchased 15 more on the Trading Platform. A total of 29 bottles of Healing Potion fused the remaining 29 female soldiers into Spirit Healing Priests! For a time, the territory was lush with green, and a fresh aura of life permeated the air, making people feel refreshed.

Lin Tian named the first Spirit Healing Priest "Commander Lin Yu" (taking the homophone of "healing" from "yu", implying as warm and gentle as jade, healing the wounded).

With this, an epic feast of Fusion came to an end. Lin Tian began to take stock of the reborn army under his command:

Lin Feng and his subordinates (400 people): 1 Crimson Sun Divine General (Legendary High-grade) commander, the rest are Heavy Armored Spearmen (Excellent High-grade).

Lin Yin and her subordinates (400 people): 1 Holy Envoy of the Profound Moon (Mythical Mid-grade) commander, the rest are Moon Shadow Archers (Excellent High-grade).

Lin Yan and his subordinates (400 people): 1 Mystic Rock Spirit Guard (Excellent High-grade) commander, the rest are 300 Mystic Rock Spirit Guards (Excellent High-grade) and 100 Rock Armor Soldiers (Rare Low-grade).

Commander Lin Yu and her subordinates (30 people): all are Spirit Healing Priests (Rare Mid-grade).

A total of 1230 people! An army with infinite potential stood proudly!

Looking at the huge army with magnificent military appearance and soaring momentum before him, Lin Tian's heart surged with pride, and a confidence in controlling power and an ambition to expand his territory grew vigorously, making it hard to calm down. This, this was the cornerstone for him to gain a foothold in this Eternal Continent and move towards glory!

"Everyone, listen to my command!" Lin Tian suppressed his surging emotions, his voice spreading throughout the field, "Lin Yin, Lin Yan, Lin Feng, Commander Lin Yu, take people to the warehouse, take out all the remaining meat from yesterday, and have a full meal!"
