156: Chapter 156 Destroying the Rifthoof Tribe

"Swish!"

A silver arrow, condensed to the extreme, silent and traceless, with a trajectory as tricky and sinister as a viper lurking in the shadows.

Seizing the moment when his old force was spent, his new force had yet to rise, and his focus was entirely drawn by Lin Feng, it shot silently toward a gap in the armor joint under his ribs!

It was Lin Yin!

She had quietly spurred her horse to the flank at some unknown point, her moonlight longbow drawn like a full moon. Her cold eyes locked onto the Chief, as if calculating the most precise trajectory.

This arrow did not seek to kill the enemy; it was meant only to interfere, to distract him, and to be the final straw that broke the camel's back under that lethal spear strike.

"Clang!!!"

The Chief's giant axe collided with the tip of the flame spear, erupting with a deafening clash of metal and a terrifying shockwave of energy!

He let out a muffled groan, his massive body swaying violently, the ground beneath his feet cracking inch by inch.

Almost simultaneously, he caught a glimpse of that life-stealing silver line out of the corner of his eye. Alarm bells rang in his heart, and despite the trauma to his internal organs, he forcibly twisted his body to dodge.

"Pfft!"

The silver arrow failed to hit a vital point but still buried itself deep into his strong rib muscles.

The accompanying Moonlight energy, like cold venom, invaded instantly, causing his movements to falter and his breathing to become disordered.

When experts clash, it is decided in an instant.

It was this slight hesitation, this flaw, that was magnified infinitely before Lin Feng's platinum-grade attack, which had gathered the battle intent of fifty thousand troops!

The terrifying power contained within the giant flame spear erupted completely, like a bursting volcano!

"Roar!!"

The Chief let out a roar of pain and unwillingness. His massive body, as if struck by a meteorite, flew backward like a cannonball, blood spraying wildly from his mouth.

Behind him, the formation of thirty thousand elite Minotaur warriors finally collapsed completely under the aftermath of the War God Avatar's spear strike and the harassment of Lin Yin's precise arrows!

The soldiers scattered in terror, trampling each other, their formation completely destroyed.

Lin Tian watched this scene, gently patting Chiyan's neck, the corners of his mouth lifting slightly.

"Alright, the formation is broken. Now, it's time for the harvest."

"Boom!"

The Chief slammed heavily onto the scorched earth fifty meters away like a meteorite, creating a shallow crater and kicking up dust.

The giant axe that had accompanied him through years of battle flew from his hand, embedding itself deep into the nearby ground, still trembling incessantly.

Lin Feng controlled the Scarlet Sun Avatar, pressing his advantage without mercy.

The giant flame spear in the avatar's hand paused for only a moment before sweeping horizontally!

Two dark golden Spear Glows, a hundred meters long and condensed into substance, acted like the scythes of the Grim Reaper, slicing left and right across the waist of the Minotaur army formation, which had fallen into a brief stupor because their leader had been knocked away!

"No!" Some Minotaur warriors only had time to let out desperate cries.

"Sshh!"

Where the Spear Glow passed, flesh and blood flew!

At least several hundred elite Minotaurs who could not dodge in time were like butter sliced by a hot knife.

Along with their heavy armor and tower shields, they were cleanly severed, torn apart, and incinerated!

Severed limbs and charred chunks of corpses scattered into the sky, and the air was instantly filled with the thick, nauseating smell of blood and burning flesh.

This bloody and cruel scene completely crushed the last will of the remaining Minotaur army to resist.

"Run!"

"The leader has been defeated!"

"Monsters! They are monsters!"

The collapse happened like an avalanche.

The formation that had been barely maintained instantly disintegrated. The surviving Minotaur warriors wailed, discarding their helmets and armor, fleeing desperately toward the depths of the tribe, toward any direction where they might escape with their lives.

Meanwhile, the Scarlet Sun Avatar, like a prehistoric beast breaking into a flock of sheep, began a cold-blooded slaughter.

Every swing of the giant spear cleared a large area;

Every stomp cracked the earth, killing or wounding countless enemies.

Lin Feng's cold gaze, through the avatar, harvested the small groups of officers and high-level enemies attempting to regroup.

On the other side, Lin Yin had long since put away her longbow and drawn her moonlight longbow.

She did not participate in the pursuit of the routed soldiers, but instead locked her targets onto those who were fleeing the fastest, or those "fish that slipped through the net" trying to flank and charge the human infantry lines.

Her cold eyes locked on, and her hand released the string.

"Silver Moon Arrow Rain."

The bowstring vibrated lightly, without a deafening roar.

But the next moment, it was as if a cold and deadly rain of moonlight had begun to fall from the sky!

Countless Moonlight Arrows, as fine as ox hair but incomparably sharp, covered a significant area.

The routed soldiers within the range of the arrow rain, no matter how fast they ran or how well they hid,

would be pierced by at least a few, or even dozens, of arrows, collapsing to the ground. Their bodies were left with tiny, bone-deep holes, their blood rapidly frozen by the icy power of the Moonlight.

One distant, one near; one massive, one precise.

Lin Feng and Lin Yin, like the most taciturn partners of death, quickly cleared the battlefield, stifling any organized resistance or escape in the cradle.

The Chief knelt on one knee in the cracked crater, using his massive palm to support himself on the scorched ground, while his other hand pressed tightly against his agonizing, churning chest.

With a "Wah," he spat out another mouthful of stagnant blood, which seemed to contain fragments of his internal organs.

Lin Feng's spear strike was not only terrifying in power, but the scorching battle intent had also invaded his internal organs, continuously burning away his life force.

But he could not fall.

He lifted his head abruptly, his bloodshot eyes locking onto the Scarlet Sun Avatar in the distance that was slaughtering his people. His eyes erupted with beast-like ferocity and unyielding defiance.

He let out a low growl, using all his strength to pull out the giant axe stuck nearby, the blade dragging across the ground with a harsh sound.

He struggled to stand up, and although his figure swayed and every step left deep, bloody footprints, he still roared and charged at the Scarlet Sun Avatar again!

He knew this was like a mantis trying to stop a chariot; he knew he might die in the next second.

But he had to charge! He was the leader of the Split-Hoof Tribe!

If he could delay this monster for one more second, perhaps a few more of his clansmen could escape, perhaps... the kingdom's...!

"For... the tribe!!!"

He swung the giant axe, which felt like it weighed a thousand jun, and with the determination of certain death, hacked at the god-like avatar once again.

The next ten minutes or so were, for the Chief, a slow and painful lingering death.

He was like a dilapidated boat in a storm, facing danger at every turn under the violent attacks of the Scarlet Sun Avatar.

Using his last bit of strength and combat instinct, he parried, dodged, and traded injury for injury...

But the gap between them was too great. The wounds on his body multiplied, and blood almost dyed him into a bloody mess.

His left arm bent at an eerie angle, clearly fractured, and his aura rapidly withered.

But what made him even more desperate was what he saw out of the corner of his eye.

His thirty thousand most elite warriors, after losing their formation and him as their backbone,

were melting and diminishing rapidly under the absolute quantity, quality, and terrifying long-range firepower of the human army, like snow under the sun.

The roars, screams, the sound of blades entering flesh, the whistling of arrows, the explosions of magic...

mixed into a requiem for his tribe.

Every second, familiar faces fell.

Every moment, the tribe he had protected his entire life was heading toward total destruction.

The pain of watching everything be lost while being powerless to stop it was far more heart-wrenching than the wounds on his body.
