179: Chapter 179 Roy's Speculation

However, under the ruthless crushing force of absolute quality, quantity, and that Platinum 7-Star War Soul, their resistance melted away rapidly, like snow under the sun.

Shield walls were smashed, spears were snapped, and the earthy-yellow protective light shattered like bubbles under the scorching Battle Intent.

The roars, screams, sounds of bones breaking, and the explosive clashing of weapons quickly diminished and subsided within a few short minutes.

When the Scarlet Sun Avatar smashed the giant axe that had accompanied Captain Luoyi for years out of his hand, the remaining momentum of the spear shaft swept across his solid chest, sending him flying like a broken sack, causing him to vomit blood and crash heavily onto the ruined position.

In the field, apart from the low neighing of the Golden Armored Dragon Cavalry's dragon horses and Lin Feng's heavy breathing, there were no other figures left standing.

The thousand-man elite force was completely wiped out.

Lin Feng slowly exhaled a puff of scorching white air and deactivated "Command of a Thousand Armies."

The thirty-meter Scarlet Sun Avatar dissipated like a phantom, and his own face turned slightly pale, clearly indicating a massive expenditure of energy.

He guided his dragon horse down to the ground and walked over to the Minotaur captain, Captain Luoyi, whose chest was sunken, whose aura was withered, and who had already lapsed into unconsciousness.

"Tie him up and take him with us."

Lin Feng gave the order indifferently to the soldiers beside him, his gaze sweeping over the chaotic battlefield littered with corpses.

"Clean this up. Take any valuable spoils of war. Burn the rest to the ground."

"Yes, Commander!"

Soon, the unconscious Captain Luoyi was tied up like a dumpling with specially made metal chains and thrown onto the back of a dragon horse that had been specifically cleared for this purpose.

The Golden Armored Dragon Cavalry began to quickly sweep the battlefield and collect the spoils.

A moment later, Lin Feng swung onto his horse and took one last look at the scorched earth soaked in blood, as well as the distant Split-Hoof Tribe that had long since been reduced to ruins.

"Return to the city."

Four thousand dragon cavalry took to the sky once more, like a flock of night owls returning to their nest after completing a mission, and flew rapidly toward Lin Tian City, returning death and silence to this southern wasteland.

And a piece of "erroneous" intelligence regarding the "Purple Moon Vanguard" possessing a terrifying flying legion and a legion war soul commander was completely snuffed out at the source with the capture of Captain Luoyi.

Lin Tian paced back and forth in the square in front of the Lords Mansion with his hands behind his back. He appeared leisurely, but his gaze swept toward the deep southern night sky from time to time.

The clamor of territory construction gradually subsided after nightfall, leaving only the rhythmic sound of the patrol teams' footsteps.

In his heart, he was actually still concerned about the Minotaur scouting party.

Suddenly, on the southern horizon, a familiar and dense patch of black silhouettes, like night birds returning to their nest, broke into his line of sight.

It was the Dragon Cavalry! Lin Feng and the others had returned!

And looking at the formation, it seemed there were no casualties.

Lin Tian's heart, which had been hanging in his chest, finally dropped back into place with a "thud," and the corners of his mouth curled upward involuntarily.

It seemed the trouble had been dealt with cleanly.

Soon, the low whistling sound of dragon wings approached from afar. The four thousand dragon cavalry, like well-trained falcons, landed one after another in the inner city square and on the wide main road of the outer city, kicking up bursts of dust.

Lin Feng took the lead, leaping nimbly from the back of his dragon horse, carrying a tall Minotaur in his hand who was tied up like a dumpling with thick iron chains, covered in blood, and unconscious.

He strode over to Lin Tian and loosened his grip, causing the Minotaur to hit the hard obsidian ground with a "thud" like a heavy sandbag.

Lin Feng knelt on one knee, cupped his hands, and said in a deep voice:

"Lord, I have returned to report. The thousand-man Minotaur scouting party has been completely annihilated. This is their captain, captured alive and brought back as you ordered."

"You've worked hard. Well done."

Lin Tian stepped forward and patted Lin Feng's shoulder. His gaze swept over the blackened bloodstains and several faint slash marks on his armor, his tone conveying affirmation.

"Take the brothers to rest first and get something to eat and drink. Afterward, you go to the Otherworld, and rotate Lin Yin and the others back to rest."

"Yes!"

Lin Feng said nothing more, stood up briskly, and signaled for the soldiers to withdraw and rest in an orderly fashion.

Just then, the Minotaur captive on the ground seemed to let out a muffled groan of pain from the impact, his eyelids trembling violently, and he slowly opened his eyes.

His gaze was unfocused at first, then suddenly sharpened. His bull eyes widened, shifting in disbelief as he scanned the surrounding environment.

Lofty city walls, neat stone roads, brightly lit buildings in the distance, and the silent, imposing human soldiers standing around him...

This was clearly a human city!

And it was quite large!

Yet, based on his position before losing consciousness and the speed of their flying mounts, this could not possibly be a major border town of the Purple Moon Dynasty!

Could it be...

Countless thoughts of shock and uncertainty raced through his mind in an instant.

Lin Tian walked over to him with poise, looking down from above at the Minotaur captain who, even while bound, still exuded a fierce aura.

He waved his hand, and two Golden Armored Spearmans standing nearby immediately stepped forward, grabbing Captain Luoyi from the ground on both sides like they were picking up a chick, and forcing him to kneel before Lin Tian.

"Looks like you're awake."

Lin Tian's tone was flat, as if stating a fact.

"Do you see clearly now? This is my territory. Since you've fallen into our hands, you'd better be sensible."

"Spit out everything you know—how many troops your Kingdom sent this time, what the follow-up plan is, who is leading the army, and what their strength is. Be honest and don't leave out a single word."

He leaned down slightly, his gaze like a cold awl piercing Captain Luoyi's face. His voice lowered, yet it carried a calmness that chilled one to the marrow:

"Don't test my patience, and don't challenge humanity's 'talent' for 'persuasion.' Cooperate well, and I'll give you a quick end. If you're stubborn..."

He straightened up and flicked his spotless cuff with his finger.

He didn't finish the sentence, but the chill of indifference toward life was more heart-palpitating to Captain Luoyi than any threat.

Captain Luoyi struggled to raise his head, staring fixedly at Lin Tian.

He felt that faint, elusive, and peculiar aura on the other party that definitely did not belong to this world.

It was the same aura he had once sensed from an "Otherworld Lord" he had accidentally captured—an aura completely different from the filth of Polluted Monsterss, one filled with the scent of "variables" and "outsiders"!

"Could it be... that this human Lord is also..."

A terrifying conjecture slithered into Captain Luoyi's mind like a viper, making his heart race wildly.

If that were the case, what the Kingdom was facing might not be a simple border conflict, but unknown invaders from beyond the heavens, possibly in great numbers!

He had to test this! Confirm his thoughts!

Captain Luoyi forcibly suppressed the surging waves of shock in his heart, put on an expression of indignation and disdain, and in a hoarse voice, deliberately roared in a tone of "revealing the truth":
