250: Chapter 250 The Army Sets Off

Time passed minute by minute, and after about the time it takes to drink half a cup of tea...

Lin Kong finally opened his eyes, a flash of realization crossing his silver pupils. He cupped his hands toward Lin Tian, his tone steady yet filled with unquestionable certainty:

"My Lord, it is feasible. The beacon mark is very stable, and the space coordinates are clear. I can construct a temporary large-scale space portal leading directly there."

"Good!"

Lin Tian pumped his fist, a wide grin spreading across his face as he clapped Lin Kong hard on the shoulder.

"I knew you could do it! Quick, tell me, what do you need? How long will it take? Don't be polite—as long as we can get the brothers over there quickly, I'll give you whatever you need!"

Lin Kong, clearly accustomed to his lord's manner, emotionlessly rattled off a list of Materials and quantities:

"I need at least one thousand units of 'space law fragments' to stabilize the space, and ten thousand units of 'high-purity space law crystals' to serve as the energy core and channel stabilizer..."

With every item he listed, Li Yi's eyelid couldn't help but twitch.

Every single one of these items was a rare and precious treasure. To think the cost of constructing a one-time ultra-long-range teleportation array would be so exorbitant!

But Lin Tian, hearing this, only scratched his head and muttered:

"Sounds like a lot... but it's not a big problem."

With a flick of his wrist, that ancient mirror—the depth of which Li Yi could not fathom—reappeared.

Next, Li Yi witnessed a scene he would never forget for as long as he lived.

Lin Tian held the mirror, checking it against the long list of Materials Lin Kong had provided while chanting under his breath. Then, he waved the mirror toward an empty space.

Whatever Lin Kong asked for, Lin Tian "replicated" using that mirror!

Li Yi's eyes nearly popped out of his head. This... what kind of Heaven-Defying Divine Artifact was this? Creation out of thin air?

No, it was perfect replication! And seeing Lin Tian's relaxed expression, this level of consumption seemed to be absolutely nothing to him!

No wonder he could support a terrifying army of such scale; no wonder he was so confident...

With this kind of ability, resources were likely nothing more than numbers to him!

In less than half an hour, all the Materials Lin Kong required were piled into glittering small mountains in the open space below the city. The spatial energy fluctuations they emitted caused the surrounding light to warp slightly.

"The Materials are ready! And I've cleared the space for you!"

Lin Tian pointed to a cleared area below the city wall and spoke to Lin Kong.

"Hurry up and get to work! If you need brothers to help, pick them yourself from any of the divisions. Your needs take priority!"

"Yes! Your subordinate obeys!"

A spark of heat also flashed in Lin Kong's eyes.

Being able to preside over the construction of a portal of such scale and distance was a tremendous exercise and challenge for his own mastery and comprehension of spatial power.

He wasted no more time, his figure flickering as he appeared beside the piles of Materials and began to methodically direct the project.

Lin Tian didn't stay idle either. He had Lin Yin, Lin Feng, Lin Yan, and the others pass down orders for the entire army to rest in place, eat, and check their equipment while awaiting further instructions.

He himself pulled the still-dazed Li Yi to the city wall, setting out a table and chairs with some wine and food.

While watching the bustling construction below, he chatted casually about the specific situation on the Xuanhuang Empire's front lines and the potential characteristics and weaknesses of Karl's Undead Army.

Time flowed quietly amidst the tense yet orderly preparations. The sun gradually dipped toward the west, painting the horizon in shades of gold and red.

Approximately twelve hours later, just as the last rays of the setting sun were about to be swallowed by the horizon...

"Buzz!!!"

A low, long spatial tremor, seemingly from ancient times, emanated from the center of the massive portal.

The portal, which had previously been just a frame with faint silver light, suddenly saw a deep, rotating, deep blue vortex—which seemed capable of swallowing all light—erupt at its core!

The vortex rotated slowly, expanding continuously until it finally stabilized, forming a stable, deep blue light gate over forty meters in diameter that radiated intense spatial fluctuations!

The interior of the light gate was incredibly deep, with faint phantoms of shimmering channels visible, leading to an unknown destination.

It was done!

Lin Kong's figure appeared beside the light gate. Though his face was somewhat pale and his aura slightly unstable, his gaze remained sharp as he cupped his hands toward Lin Tian atop the city wall from afar:

"My Lord! The temporary space channel to the preset coordinates on the eastern front of the Xuanhuang Empire has been successfully constructed and stabilized!"

"The channel has a maximum passage diameter of forty-five meters, with a maximum single transport capacity of approximately one hundred thousand soldiers! The energy can support continuous high-intensity operation for at least three days!"

"Beautiful! Well done, Lin Kong!"

Lin Tian stood up abruptly, laughing heartily as he slapped the city wall battlement, causing dust to fall in flurries.

He turned to Li Yi and waved his hand with high spirits:

"State Preceptor, what do you think? Is this 'travel speed' acceptable to you?"

Li Yi had long been rendered speechless by this miraculous display. He could only nod repeatedly, his estimation of Lin Tian rising to another immeasurable level.

"No time to lose! Lin Feng!"

Lin Tian's smile vanished, his voice turning solemn.

"This general is here!"

Clad in crimson armor and looking like a god of war, Lin Feng stepped forward, his voice booming like a bell.

"You, gather ten thousand Divine-Grade vanguards and, along with State Preceptor Li Yi, take the first step through the portal!"

"Immediately upon arrival, establish contact with the Xuanhuang Empire's front-line defenders, take over the defense of the landing area, clear any potential threats, and set up a temporary command post and defensive positions! Remember, ensure the teleportation point is absolutely secure!"

"Orders received!"

Lin Feng cupped his hands, Battle Intent rising in his eyes.

He turned and waved his hand toward the ten-thousand-man phalanx below, whose aura was the most ferocious and had already been prepared:

"Follow me! Clear the way for the army!"

"Roar!!!"

A wave of responses like a mountain tsunami came from below.

Lin Feng led the way, with the others following closely behind.

Ten thousand battle-hardened elites, the lowest being 1-star Divine-Grade, divided into ten thousand-man units. They marched into the deep blue spatial vortex in an orderly and resounding fashion, their figures instantly swallowed and disappearing.

"Good! The vanguard has departed! All forces, hear my command!"

Lin Tian took a step forward. With the power of a Divine-Grade expert, his voice spread clearly across the vast military formation.

"According to the predetermined sequence, enter the portal in units of ten thousand! Your mission: wipe out the undead and slay Karl!"

"Lin Tian, Victory!!!"

Tens of millions of soldiers roared in unison, their voices soaring into the clouds, making even the newly risen stars seem to tremble.

The scene that followed was grand enough to be unforgettable to anyone who witnessed it.

The massive military formation was like a war machine being activated.

One after another, the orderly ten-thousand-man phalanxes set out silently and swiftly. With synchronized steps that made the earth rumble, they flowed like a torrent of steel into the shimmering deep blue portal.
