105: Chapter 105 Displaying Divine Power

The dark gold armor of the Golden Armored Spearmans themselves, bolstered by the passive effect of Golden Spirit Power, possessed astonishing defensive strength. The heavy axe strikes and club smashes of the Minotaurs often only left shallow marks on the armor, sometimes even numbing their arms with the counter-shock.

Even more remarkable, the minor damages that appeared on some sets of armor were actually slowly mending at a visible rate during the battle!

The two hundred Golden Armored Spearmans were like two hundred tireless, indestructible killing machines, plowing bloody death paths through the Minotaur formation. Wherever they passed, men were thrown and bulls overturned, leaving wails echoing across the field.

They focused their attention on those powerful Silver-rank Minotaur leaders. Often, several spearguards would strike together; amidst flashes of golden light, a massive bull head would fly off, or a Silver Warrior would be riddled with holes by a flurry of spears.

At the same time, from within the human army at the rear, cold moonlight and eerie silver-blue spatial ripples quietly bloomed.

The Pale Moon Hunters stood with bows drawn, the Pale Moon Flower emblems on their chests flickering. They didn't engage in area-of-effect volleys but instead performed precise and efficient targeted kills and crowd control.

A high-tier Silver Minotaur warrior, wielding a giant hammer and roaring to inspire morale, was charging forward with excitement when his legs suddenly tightened. Looking down, he saw that at some unknown moment, several emerald-green, incredibly tough magical vines had grown frantically from the ground, binding his legs tightly!

He roared and struggled, but the vines only tightened further, even growing thorns that injected a paralyzing toxin. This was 'Myriad Manifestations of the Forest: Vine Binding'!

Elsewhere, several Minotaur warriors held up thick, iron-reinforced wooden shields, attempting to form a formation to withstand the rain of arrows.

However, when a seemingly ordinary arrow hit the center of a shield, the arrowhead suddenly exploded into a mass of dark green energy emitting a foul aura of decay! 'Myriad Manifestations of the Forest: Decaying Arrow'! The wooden shield turned grey and brittle at a visible rate, and even the Minotaur holding the shield felt a wave of weakness hit him, his defensive power greatly reduced.

Furthermore, Pale Moon Hunters specifically sniped those Minotaurs attempting to flank them or those hiding behind cover to throw javelins.

The arrows fired carried the 'Armor-Piercing Thorns' effect, easily piercing through cover to pin the Minotaurs behind it to death.

Meanwhile, the attacks of the Void Ranger caused the Minotaurs to feel the deepest fear and powerlessness. They often stood in inconceivable positions.

The trajectories of the arrows they fired were completely unpredictable! An arrow would clearly look like it was headed one way, only to suddenly vanish mid-flight and reappear from another side in the next instant, piercing through a Minotaur!

Even when hiding behind thick Totem Poles, the arrows could eerily jump through the air to hit the target!

The 'Dimensional Rending Arrow' was elusive and impossible to guard against, specifically picking off those Silver leaders hiding deep within the formation who thought they were safe while trying to reorganize resistance.

Every time a silver spatial ripple flashed, it meant the bizarre fall of an important Minotaur, greatly exacerbating the chaos and panic within the Minotaur army.

"What... what kind of monsters are these!" Chief Kulu had initially been waving his Totem Battle-axe, attempting to personally lead a charge to crush the human vanguard and reverse the decline.

But this overwhelming battle situation, the never-before-seen eerie skills, the golden-armored humans slaughtering his elite subordinates like chopping vegetables, the precise and deadly, ever-changing rain of arrows, and the completely incomprehensible lethal arrows that could appear from any angle... all of this shattered his courage. His will to fight melted away as quickly as snow under the sun.

This wasn't a battle; it was a massacre! It was a one-sided devastation!

"Retreat! Scatter and retreat! Return to the tribe and hold fast!!" Chief Kulu finally broke down, letting out a shrill howl. No longer caring about his dignity as Chief or the glory of the kingdom, he turned and tried to flee toward the depths of the tribe. There might be secret passages there, or he could use the complex terrain to maneuver... he just wanted to live!

However, just as he turned and exerted force with both hooves, just as he was about to bolt—

Whiz!!!

A shrill whistle of air breaking reached the extreme, as if it would tear one's eardrums, exploding without warning just inches from his side!

Before he could react at all, Chief Kulu felt a bone-chilling, terrifying energy carrying an aura of both purification and destruction descend like a falling star!

It was Lin Yin! She had been waiting!

A giant arrow of light, condensed to the extreme as if made of liquid moonlight, was not aimed at him, but was precisely shot into the ground half a meter in front of him!

Boom!!!

In the midst of the deafening explosion, a shockwave of moonlight erupted violently!

Chief Kulu's massive body was struck as if by an invisible giant hammer. With a miserable wail, he was thrown backward, crashing heavily onto the muddy ground over a dozen meters away.

The left side of his body was almost covered in horrific wounds burned and torn by the moonlight energy, deep enough to see bone. His Gold-rank protective energy shattered like paper.

The heavy Totem Battle-axe in his hand flew out, landing far away.

He coughed up mouthfuls of foul blood mixed with organ fragments, his aura instantly withering to the extreme. He didn't even have the strength to struggle and crawl up; his eyes held only boundless fear and despair.

With just one arrow—and not even a direct hit, just the aftershock—the Gold 1-star Minotaur Chief was left heavily wounded and on the verge of death, losing all ability to resist!

This was the power of a single strike from the legendary-quality, Gold 2-star Holy Envoy of the Profound Moon, delivered while intentionally holding back!

Lin Yin slowly lowered her longbow. Her moon-white holy robe were untainted by dust, and her cold face remained calm, as if that earth-shattering arrow hadn't come from her hand.

Her gaze indifferently swept over the fallen Chief Kulu in the distance, who had only half a breath left. Confirming he was no longer a threat, she redirected her sight to other areas of the battlefield while slightly turning her head to give a nearly imperceptible nod to Lin Tian, who was not far away.

Mission accomplished. Target "crippled, left with a breath of life."

With the fall of Chief Kulu and the deaths of numerous leaders, the clamor on the battlefield quickly developed into a one-sided situation.

The Minotaur warriors, having lost their command and morale, were routed under the encirclement of the human army—especially the thirty-two thousand recruits who had received orders to press forward and harvest experience.

Half an hour later, when the last Minotaur putting up a desperate resistance was stabbed to death by several human recruits, there was not a single standing Minotaur warrior left on the open ground outside the Kamo Tribe.

Blood stained the earth, and the air was filled with a thick smell of blood and scorched remains.

The outcome of this battle had been decided from the moment Lin Tian gave the order.
