139: Chapter 139 Blonde Hair with Wavy Hair, Let's Escape Together!

"Buzz——Buzz——Buzz——" The skyline was choked with a swarm of drones, like a plague of locusts, their propellers churning the air and emitting a heart-stopping roar.

On the ground, rolling dust clouds formed a long, tawny dragon, with the silhouettes of dozens of military vehicles flickering in and out of the haze.

At this moment, they were closing in from all directions at an astonishing speed. It was a net woven of steel and firepower.

"It's over..." Lanna's face drained of color, and she limped over to open the car door.

An encirclement of this scale—let alone a single person, even a full armored regiment would be ground into dust.

"Get in!" Qin Feng roared. Lanna finally snapped out of it and scrambled into the passenger seat.

"We're dead! We're dead!" Lanna clutched her head, curling up on the seat, screaming in despair.

"Shut up." Qin Feng slammed on the gas, and the assault vehicle roared out of the grotto like an enraged bull.

"Relax, my captive." He kept his eyes on the road while steering with one hand, performing extreme drifts through the craggy canyon.

"This is just a display of the Yang Country people's hospitality. Look at this send-off ceremony—so much grandeur."

Lanna: "..." She now seriously doubted whether the Chef's brain was wired differently from normal people. How could he still be in the mood to joke at a time like this?

"Left! Three 'Sentinel' drones! On the right is a 'Desert Eagle' armored convoy! Behind... behind is their main attacking force!" Lanna sounded like a battlefield reporter, her voice trembling with fear.

She had never imagined she would experience such a thrilling scene in her entire life. Not even movies dared to film like this!

"Got it." Qin Feng wasn't panicked at all. On his retina, the 3D battlefield map transmitted by the bionic spider was a hundred times clearer than what Lanna could see with her naked eye.

The enemy's troop deployment, firepower configuration, advance routes, and even the rank of the Commander in the lead armored vehicle were all crystal clear.

In Qin Feng's hands, the assault vehicle seemed to have come alive. It always managed to fly past the cliffs at an incredible angle, dodging those lethal rocks.

It could also execute an extreme tail-slide the moment a shell landed, hiding the vehicle body within the fleeting smoke of the explosion.

Lanna felt like her internal organs were about to be shaken out; she was tossed and turned like laundry in a tumble dryer.

"You... slow down! I'm going to throw up!" "If you puke in the car, I'll make you lick it clean." "..."

Just then, a sharp lock-on alarm blared inside the car. [Beep! Beep! Beep! Warning! Locked on by drone heat source!]

Qin Feng looked up through the bulletproof glass and saw three attack drones with wingspans over two meters, biting hard onto the airspace above their car.

"Damn it, they're like ghosts that won't leave." Qin Feng cursed. He couldn't drive and deal with the things in the sky at the same time.

He slammed on the brakes, and amidst Lanna's screams, he hauled her up from the passenger seat and shoved her into the driver's seat. "You drive!"

"What?!" Lanna was stunned. "I... I have an injury on my leg! I can't!"

"Less talk! Pedal to the metal, keep a firm grip on the wheel, and don't hit the rocks!" Qin Feng's tone brooked no argument. "If you dare to flip this car, I guarantee I'll blow your head off with one shot before you even die from the crash."

A cold gun muzzle pressed against Lanna's temple. The instinct to survive overcame her fear. Lanna gritted her teeth, her pale hands gripping the steering wheel tightly, and slammed the gas pedal to the floor.

The assault vehicle let out a "boom" and lunged forward again. The vehicle began to sway wildly from side to side like a drunkard, nearly hitting the rock walls on the side several times.

"Steady! Watch the road! Did you never pass a driving test?!" Qin Feng's roar came from behind. Lanna was on the verge of tears and yelled back: "Bear Country driving tests don't cover this!"

Qin Feng ignored her. He opened the sunroof, tossed the sniper rifle and several magazines onto the roof, and scrambled up as agilely as a cat.

The gale rushed in instantly, making his combat uniform flap violently. He knelt halfway on the bumpy roof, set up the sniper rifle, and calmly locked onto one of the drones through the scope.

"Whoosh—!" Just then, one of the drones launched an attack first; a small air-to-ground missile, trailing smoke, came whistling towards them!

"Ah—! Missile!" Lanna in the driver's cab saw the fire point in the rearview mirror getting closer and let out a blood-curdling scream, instinctively wanting to hit the brakes and curl up.

"Don't stop! Keep going, damn it!" Qin Feng's roar was like thunder. Lanna shuddered, closed her eyes, and pressed the gas pedal even harder.

Now! The moment the missile was about to hit the rear of the car, Qin Feng pulled the trigger. "Poof!" The bullet spun and accurately hit the missile rack beneath the drone.

"Boom!" The missile detonated prematurely in the air. The violent shockwave gave the assault vehicle a hard push forward, and the armor on the rear was scorched black, but it didn't damage the core.

"See that? Simple." Qin Feng's voice came down through the sunroof, tinged with banter. If not for his prosthetic limb hooking onto the corner of the roof, he would have been thrown off the car just now.

Lanna was too terrified to speak; she felt like she had just danced a tango at the gates of hell.

Qin Feng didn't stop. He pulled the bolt, the hot shell casing popped out, and he locked onto another drone. That drone seemed enraged, and the cannons under its wings began to spit fire.

"Da-da-da!" Bullets rained down like raindrops, sweeping across the roof and around the vehicle, kicking up a series of sparks.

Lanna was scared out of her wits, and the steering wheel started jerking, causing the car to weave in an "S" shape through the canyon.

"Stop shaking! Shake again and I'll kill you first!" Qin Feng roared. He had to take them out before the opponent's next missile attack.

He took a deep breath and, in the gaps of the violent shaking, captured that fleeting moment of stability. "Poof!" Another shot. The bullet accurately hit the drone's rotor axis.

The drone spun wildly in the air, trailing black smoke, and slammed into the distant cliff wall, exploding into a fireball.

One last one left! The drone seemed to sense danger and quickly climbed, trying to escape the sniper range. "Want to run?"

Qin Feng sneered and stood up directly from the roof, his sniper rifle as steady as a turret welded to a base. "Poof!" The third shot! "Bye-bye now!"

The bullet traced a perfect arc and, at the extreme range, pierced the body of the last drone. Three seconds later, a muffled sound came from afar.
