31: Chapter 31: After emerging from the small dark room, the entire army group was shocked!

Inside the monitoring room.

The expressions on the instructors' faces were as if they had been hit by a pause button, frozen in an incredibly comical look.

Mouths slightly agape, eyes dull and vacant.

On the screen, after a series of high-difficulty physical training exercises, Qin Feng finally stopped, looking satisfied.

Then, he sat down cross-legged.

He entered a meditative state once again.

On the instruments, the data curves that had been actively jumping due to the strenuous exercise once again performed a high-dive.

Heart rate, blood pressure, brain waves...

All the data plummeted vertically, finally settling steadily at that outrageous initial value.

Steady. Quiet. Even carrying a hint of Zen. The entire process was smooth and fluid.

Time had quietly reached the seventh hour.

"Gulp."

The Military Doctor swallowed hard, his Adam's apple bobbing up and down, the sound exceptionally clear.

He adjusted his glasses, his eyes behind the lenses filled with shock.

"Company Commander... Company Commander Zhou..."

His voice was as dry as two pieces of sandpaper rubbing together.

"This... this data... this psychological resilience... even if it were our 9th Group Army's top reconnaissance Soldier King, if thrown in there for seven hours, he would be crying for his mommy and daddy."

"I suggest, I strongly suggest! Terminate the punishment immediately!"

The Military Doctor's emotions were somewhat agitated; he pointed at the data on the screen, almost roaring.

"This is no longer a punishment; if this continues, I'm afraid Qin Feng will have a mental breakdown!"

"Company Commander, with this kind of psychological resilience, as long as he is nurtured a little, he is a born special forces soldier!"

"No! He's an ace among special forces soldiers!"

"If he really ends up with some kind of psychological trauma, it won't be worth the loss."

Company Commander Zhou Hailong did not speak. He just quietly watched the figure sitting cross-legged on the screen, the corner of his eye twitching slightly.

Seven hours! Still not his limit!

This kid's psychological resilience is terrifyingly strong.

If he weren't a university freshman who had just enlisted, Company Commander Zhou Hailong would even suspect that he had killed someone. And not just one!

This thought, like wild grass growing rampantly, spread wildly in his heart.

He had been in the army for over a decade, having seen troublemakers, geniuses, and ruthless men. But he had never seen a monster.

Today, he had seen one. A university student who had just joined the camp for a month, a freak who treated the confinement room as a VIP gym and meditation room.

Company Commander Zhou Hailong shook his head slightly, his voice not loud but carrying an indisputable decisiveness.

"It was agreed to be one night, so it will be one night. There are no jokes in the military."

Although he spoke high-sounding words, his inner calculations were clicking away loudly.

You brat, with such great potential, I want to see exactly where your limit lies!

This ability to self-regulate and control in such an extreme environment is truly a one-in-a-ten-thousand treasure!

The surrounding instructors also slowly woke up from their petrified state at this moment.

They looked at each other, their eyes no longer filled with the mockery of watching a show, but with that green light of hungry wolves seeing a piece of fat meat.

A flat-topped instructor cleared his throat, the first to be unable to hold back, rubbing his hands together with a face full of fawning smiles.

"Um... Company Commander, look, Qin Feng, this kid, has explosive physical fitness and a steady personality; he's a perfect match for the Third Phalanx that I lead!"

"If you hand him over to me, I guarantee that three months later, the 'Excellent Soldier' roving red flag will definitely be hanging at the entrance of our Third Phalanx!"

Before he finished speaking, a burly instructor next to him immediately refused to have it, slapping the back of the flat-topped instructor's head.

"Get lost! Your Third Phalanx is full of skinny monkeys; what can they do?"

"A tough guy like Qin Feng should come to our First Phalanx! What is our phalanx's slogan? Fists are the truth! If he comes, I'll make him a deputy squad leader!"

"Hey, you, Zhang Dapao, how dare you say that? During last week's field training, your First Phalanx ran to second-to-last! An all-around talent like Qin Feng needs to come to our Second Phalanx; we focus on tactics! On brains! Understand? Brains!"

"Bullshit! What else can your Second Phalanx do besides run your mouths?"

"Who are you saying is full of bullshit?"

"Whoever asks is the one full of it!"

For a time, the monitoring room was arguing incessantly, exactly like a vegetable market.

The instructors, in order to fight for the "custody" of Qin Feng, were spitting everywhere, refusing to yield an inch.

Some even started digging up old accounts and exposing secrets.

"Back in the day at the southern border, I took out a platoon of drug dealers by myself and won a second-class merit! I am the most qualified to lead him!"

"Is a second-class merit such a big deal? I've participated in the all-army competition and won the 'Sharpshooter' title! Qin Feng's marksmanship must be taught by me!"

"Shut up, all of you! I am the Group Army's Sanda champion! With Qin Feng's physique, not training combat with me is simply a waste of natural resources!"

Watching these subordinates who were about to stage a full-blown brawl just to snatch someone, Company Commander Zhou Hailong's temple veins bulged.

"All of you, shut up!" A violent shout, like thunder on flat ground, instantly silenced everyone.

Company Commander Zhou Hailong scanned the room coldly, the corners of his mouth curling into a "kind" smile.

"Stop dreaming, all of you. Qin Feng, I'm taking him!"

As his words fell, the entire monitoring room fell into a deathly silence once again.

All the instructors, including the Military Doctor who was just arguing his case, all widened their eyes, as if they had seen an iron tree bloom or a rooster lay an egg.

Company Commander... that notorious Company Commander Zhou, who was famous for fearing trouble, using his subordinates like donkeys, and hiding in his office to drink tea... was actually... going to lead troops personally?!

Is the world fantasy? Or are they all having a collective hallucination?

Five o'clock in the morning. When the first ray of dawn pierced the darkness, gilding the earth with a golden edge, the heavy iron door of the confinement room made a dull sound and slowly opened.

Qin Feng walked out from the extreme darkness.

He squinted his eyes slightly to adapt to the long-lost light, then stretched, his joints emitting a series of crisp cracks.

A full fourteen hours. This was the maximum duration for the recruit confinement test, but Company Commander Zhou Hailong knew clearly that this was still not Qin Feng's limit.

The Military Doctor at the door rushed up in one stride, performing a series of checks on him with various instruments.

Pupil response normal. Heart rate steady. Blood pressure normal. Emotional threshold fluctuation records... present, but the peak is far below the critical line of collapse.

"My God..." The Military Doctor looked at the data pad in his hand, murmuring to himself. "This data is too heaven-defying."

"You kid really just slept inside and worked out while you were at it..."

For a person to have no drastic emotional fluctuations after being deprived of the five senses for fourteen hours, this in itself is the most abnormal thing!

Very quickly! The news that Qin Feng had been punished with confinement in The Little Black Room for fourteen hours spread throughout the entire 9th Group Army within just one hour.

Furthermore, it was spreading at a viral speed, continuing toward the entire Southern 5th Military Region.
