201: Chapter 201 Breaking Through the Encirclement! The Border of the Dragon Kingdom is Just Ahead

Qin Feng whipped his head around, his gaze piercing through the heavy flames to lock precisely onto a Yang Country soldier carrying an RPG.

The soldier's scope was aimed dead-set on the location of Lanna's cover!

"Oh no!" Qin Feng's pupils constricted sharply.

A ferocious grin appeared on the soldier's face, his finger about to pull the trigger.

In a split second, Qin Feng's mind went blank, but his body acted on its most primal instinct.

His prosthetic limb exploded with power, and he shot toward Lanna like a cannonball fired from a barrel.

"Whoosh!" Almost the exact moment he lunged out, the RPG rocket launched, screaming with death as it headed straight for Lanna.

Lanna had just emptied a magazine and was preparing to reload when she looked up and saw the fireball rapidly enlarging in her field of vision.

The shadow of death instantly enveloped her. In that instant, her body stiffened, her thoughts stalled, and she could only watch helplessly as death descended.

Just at this critical moment, a familiar embrace slammed into her.

"Ugh!" Lanna felt as if she had been sent flying by a prehistoric beast, her internal organs displaced.

It was the Chef. To protect her, the Chef had hugged her, knocked her away, and rolled on the ground several times.

"Boom—!!!" The deafening explosion seemed intent on tearing the world apart.

Lanna felt like a small boat in a raging storm, thrown violently into the air by an irresistible force before crashing back down.

A scorching blast wave, mixed with shrapnel and gravel, furiously slammed against the "human wall" in front of her.

She could clearly hear the "thud, thud" of shrapnel embedding into flesh, and she could smell the acrid smoke and the thick scent of blood.

The world was spinning, and the ringing in her ears was so sharp it felt like it would pierce her brain. Before losing consciousness completely, she seemed to hear a muffled grunt from the Chef, followed by a low curse.

"Damn..."

Qin Feng felt like his back was being pricked by countless needles, a burning, searing pain.

The shockwave made his internal organs churn, and a mouthful of metallic-tasting blood surged up his throat, which he forcefully swallowed back down.

He shook his dizzy head, pushed off the debris weighing him down, and looked down at Lanna in his arms.

Lanna was pale and had passed out, but her breathing was still steady, and there were no obvious external injuries on her.

Qin Feng let out a sigh of relief, but immediately after, a monstrous rage surged from the bottom of his heart straight to his skull.

He raised his head, his bloodshot eyes locked firmly onto the enemy in the distance.

"How dare you touch my military merit! You all must die!" He squeezed the words through his teeth, his voice raspy like a demon from hell.

He reached back to his waist, pulled out his last two grenades, pulled the pins, and threw them toward the opposite side.

At the same time, the K38 appeared in his hand as if by magic. A new magazine was already loaded.

He had originally intended to conserve it, but now he was going all out. They touched Lanna—none of them would leave alive!

He switched the K38's function, instantly cranking the energy to its maximum. Immediately, the gun body was covered in alternating light and dark energy lines.

One shot! All the energy was concentrated into this single shot. There was no hesitation in Qin Feng's eyes as he aimed at the target and pulled the trigger.

"Fragmentation energy round." "Hum—" A blinding red light lit up the muzzle.

"Swish!" The bullet left the barrel and did not fly toward any specific target, but instead exploded violently when it reached the air above the enemy!

"Hum!" The energy bullet instantly decomposed in mid-air into thousands of tiny red light particles, showering down like an inescapable net.

There was no violent explosion, only a dense, rain-like terrifying assault. Every Yang Country soldier touched by the red light particles had their body instantly pierced through.

One shot cleared all enemies within a fan-shaped area.

[Killed 37 Yang Country soldiers, gained 1110 points of fixed military merit.]

[Killed 1 Yang Country Commander, gained 100 points of fixed military merit.]

[Destroyed 1 heavy machine gun emplacement, gained 50 points of fixed military merit.]

[Host: Qin Feng]

[Rank: Level 2 Sergeant (15700/20000)]

Watching the rapidly jumping numbers on the system panel, a cold smile appeared on the corner of Qin Feng's mouth. The next second, he picked up Lanna, rushed to the truck, opened the door, and placed her in the seat.

Vroom— The truck let out a low roar. Qin Feng slammed the steering wheel and floored the gas pedal; like a wild bull off its leash, the truck smashed through the camp's side gate and plunged into the boundless night.

Chiyan neighed, climbed out of the ruins, shook the dust off its body, and galloped on all four hooves, following closely behind the truck.

Inside the truck, Yaro, in the passenger seat, gripped her seatbelt tightly, her face as pale as paper.

She looked at the man beside her; he was covered in blood, and his back was a mangled mess of flesh, yet his spine remained straight. His eyes were still terrifyingly calm.

A lunatic! This motherfucker is a complete and utter lunatic! The strength of an entire Border Defense Battalion was almost completely wiped out by him alone!

And that strange sniper rifle of his, what on earth was it? How did he pull it out? Where was it hidden? This series of question marks left Yaro deeply alarmed. It even completely opened a door to a new world within her heart.

Qin Feng had no time to mind her; he only glanced at the rearview mirror. The Yang Country Border Defense Battalion behind them was already ablaze! The target ahead was the Dragon Country border!

...

The truck raced along the bumpy dirt road like a crazed beast. Yaro could not understand it at all.

The most elite special forces soldiers she had ever seen would have considered it a miracle of willpower not to go into shock with such injuries. Yet this man was acting like nothing was wrong and could still drive to escape. Was his body made of steel?

And that gun... Every time she thought of that gun, Yaro's heart spasmed. That sniper rifle was just too advanced!

One shot to detonate the fuel tank, one shot to blow up the patrol vehicle, and the final shot was like divine punishment, clearing the entire fan-shaped area. What was that? An electromagnetic weapon? Or the legendary particle beam?

As the top sniper of Yang Country, she had some knowledge of various countries' cutting-edge weapons, but none could compare to the gun in the Chef's hands.

Dragon Country... has it already mastered this technology? If this were true, then all the reports about Dragon Country that Yang Country had seen in Western media over the years, as well as the so-called "military strength analyses," wouldn't they all just be a joke?

A deep sense of powerlessness and absurdity gripped her heart. The truck hit another violent bump, pulling her thoughts back to reality.

She finally couldn't hold it back and asked: "Who... who are you exactly?"

Qin Feng did not look back, his gaze still locked on the road ahead, but the corners of his mouth twitched slightly, as if he were smiling or perhaps mocking. "A Chef."

This answer almost made Yaro choke. At a time like this, he was still trying to fool her with such nonsense?

"Your gun..." "Found it." Qin Feng's answer was crisp and clean, without a hint of hesitation.

Yaro's chest heaved violently; she felt like she was about to be driven mad by this man. She took a deep breath, forced herself to calm down, and changed her line of questioning.

"Aren't our country and Dragon Country just having a local border conflict?"

"Why... why are you here, and carrying that... that kind of weapon?"
