156: Chapter 0156 The Night is Long

In an instant, countless sparks of thought erupted within his mind.

The hazy, fleeting, and hard-to-capture inspirations he had experienced when practicing this sorcery before suddenly became clear, as if a hand had gently brushed aside the fog.

A vast number of bold ideas were verified or debunked one by one, finally merging into a surging torrent of knowledge that poured into his consciousness.

Beside him, Gelia saw Li Size suddenly fall into a settled and ethereal state after completing the final cast of the Resistance Enhancement sorcery.

Her heart stirred as she recalled a rare Opportunity whispered about in the wizarding world—an Epiphany.

About half an hour later, the transmission of information that made his brain swell slightly finally subsided.

Li Size took a deep breath, feeling the new Spell model clearly formed in his mind, and then quickly constructed the Spell within his consciousness space—

"First-Refined Resistance Enhancement."

Gelia immediately sensed a drastic change in the energy fluctuations within the Laboratory.

If the energy flow Li Size introduced when casting the Spell before was like a gurgling stream, then the energy particles flowing into his body now were like a surging river, majestic and stable.

She raised an eyebrow and asked with a mix of surprise and joy:

"Hubby, did you succeed again?"

Li Size nodded, leaving Gelia momentarily speechless, her tone filled with disbelief:

"You're just too much...

You couldn't be the Reincarnation of some legendary wizard from the Wizard Council, could you?

In such a short time, you've actually successfully modified three Zero-Ring Sorceries. I've never heard of such a thing!"

Li Size chuckled and said with a hint of pride:

"It's just that your husband is particularly strong in this regard—

Of course, I'm strong in more than just this area. You guys know that best, haha!"

Gelia gave him a sharp look, though she was truly happy for him deep down.

However, she still cautiously reminded him:

"It's best not to let outsiders know about this.

If word gets out that you can modify sorcery so easily, I'm afraid it will cause big trouble."

Li Size stepped forward and reached out to pull her into his arms; this was exactly what he was thinking:

"You're right. But of course, I trust the few of you.

Come, I'll teach you the new sorcery right now."

First-Refined Resistance Enhancement (Non-upgradable, modifiable)

Note: Forms a dense protective structure through the interaction between energy particles and the body.

Comprehensively provides a minor increase to the recipient's various resistance capabilities (base increase of 1.05 energy levels), lasting for 72 minutes.

While the 1.05 energy level resistance boost is the base value, under the bonus of Li Size's high Mental Energy and the Stingy Meditation Method, it can currently be increased to a maximum of 6.3 energy levels.

Combined with his already excellent Physique, it is enough to handle the threats of most Zero-Ring Sorceries.

Since Gelia and Felina had taken the "brain in a vat" prepared by Li Size, their Mental Energy was even higher than his; although they lacked the bonus of a special meditation method, the effect was nearly the same.

Because the first refinement increased the number of runes in the Spell from 48 to 92, the complexity of the structure had significantly increased.

Li Size found that even after explaining it once to Gelia, she still found it difficult to fully understand.

He speculated that the others might face the same predicament—

Perhaps only the exceptionally talented Violet might be able to master it directly without external assistance.

So, he simply took out blank scrolls and began creating sorcery model scrolls for the women.

By the time he completed six scrolls of "First-Refined Resistance Enhancement," Gelia had already quietly left the Laboratory.

He looked out the window; the night was still thick, and much time remained.

Recalling his recent decision in Wojin City to expand the production of the "little sorcerer donkey," Li Size knew he had to implement the plan as soon as possible.

Without any relaxation, he turned back to work, vigorously refining the automated assembly line sorcery machine tools used for the production of little sorcerer donkeys.

Tonight was still long.

When the first golden ray of the sun pierced through the frosted glass window of the Laboratory, Li Size had just finished the last cycle of the Stingy Meditation Method.

He sat cross-legged on a runic carpet woven from silver threads, the Mental Energy patterns on his brow slowly fading from their golden hue like a receding tide.

A slight numbness from controlling energy particles still lingered at his fingertips, as if tiny electric arcs were dancing beneath his skin.

Most of the fatigue from seven consecutive hours of refining sorcery machine tools last night was washed away by the high-level meditation method, replaced by a glacier-like clarity of thought—

This was the overwhelming advantage of the special meditation method "Miserly"; while others needed hours to recover their Mental Energy, he only needed seventy percent of their time to fully replenish it.

He stretched his body and stood up, his joints making crisp popping sounds, before beginning his daily mandatory Ordinary Knight Training Method:

When holding a horse stance, his legs felt as heavy as if filled with lead, every muscle trembling amidst the flow of energy, and every punch carried a sonic boom that tore through the air.

Sweat dripped from his taut jawline onto the runic nodes of the carpet, leaving behind dark stains.

"If it weren't for the Pay-to-Win System..."

He thought to himself while completing his hundredth push-up:

"Just practicing these basic sorceries to proficiency would take three years, let alone reaching the Great Master Realm.

No wonder other Wizard Apprentices basically only choose one specialization; if they learned too much, it would probably be impossible to promote to a Formal Wizard."

However, since he had the Pay-to-Win Ability, his speed of learning sorcery and knowledge was likely millions of times faster than other wizards...

Naturally, he didn't need to be confined to a single field; instead, he should maximize the advantages of his Pay-to-Win Ability to be all-encompassing.

After completing his daily cultivation, the day had fully brightened...

In the Circular Dining Room outside the Laboratory:

Felina was placing golden, crispy almond bread slices onto the black walnut dining table.

Beside them were steaming truffle mushroom thick soup and sunny-side-up eggs, the silver cutlery gleaming warmly in the morning light.

Violet sat on a high-backed chair, her light green dress making her skin look as fair as fresh snow.

The light green luster interspersed within her golden hair shimmered in the light, her pointed ears faintly visible behind her slightly curled locks, and her amber eyes rippled like gems soaked in a clear spring.

"Brother-in-law, did you stay up all night again improving the machine tools?"

Seeing Li Size walk in carrying the heat of his workout, she hurriedly stood up and handed him an ice-silk towel, her fingertips inadvertently brushing against the back of his hand, causing the tips of her ears to instantly turn crimson.

Felina smiled and lightly patted the top of her head with hands dusted with flour:

"Our little elf is becoming more and more considerate. Quick, let your brother-in-law taste the freshly baked bread."

Li Size took the towel to wipe the sweat from the side of his neck and took a bite of a crispy corner of the bread:

"Hasn't Violet been studying Mechanical Diagrams lately?

I happen to be free today; how about I accompany you to make that Mechanical Doll?"

Violet's eyes suddenly lit up with brilliance, and her hands unconsciously gripped the hem of her skirt:

"Really? I've even modified the design drawings seven times!"

After breakfast, Felina still had teaching duties, so Li Size brought his younger sister-in-law Violet to the Laboratory.

On the Meteoric Iron Workbench in the center of the Laboratory, Li Size laid out the Black Demonic Iron Alloy Materials and a set of micro-carving tools in sequence:

A Sorcery Saw with precision scales, an Energy Screwdriver with adjustable torque, and neatly arranged Miniature Energy Crystals.
