60: Chapter 0060 (Medium)

The inspection team from the Provincial Department of Education arrived at the academy early in the morning to investigate the matter of Student Li Size cheating on the final exam, instantly causing a stir throughout the entire academy.

This previously obscure, unnoticed student had unexpectedly become the focus of the entire academy.

They had already heard that Li Size had achieved an unprecedented perfect score of 300 points, leading the Provincial Department of Education to suspect him of fraud.

That sounded somewhat reasonable; how could anyone score 300 points without cheating??

Everyone was discussing what cheating methods Li Size had used to score 300 points on such a difficult exam.

If they had cheating methods, they certainly wouldn't aim for 300 points; scoring something like 260 or 270, staying low-key and inconspicuous, would secure a spot in the top one hundred of the provincial rankings.

Wouldn't getting a guaranteed admission spot from the Provincial High Court be wonderful?

Li Size, I don't know what he was thinking, actually daring to aim for 300 points!!

Too greedy!

He was too greedy!

His cheating method must have been too brilliant, as even the proctoring teacher didn't discover it.

What a pity; his greed ultimately attracted the attention of the Provincial Department of Education.

Almost everyone overwhelmingly believed that Li Size achieved 300 points through cheating.

Because, in their belief, no one could score 300 points!

No one!

Only students like Jackson, who had recent contact with Li Size, knew that Li Size wasn't that kind of person and that perhaps he truly could score 300 points!

This was something unimaginable in the entire educational history of Monte Province.

If it could truly be proven that Li Size had not cheated, the news of Li Size's perfect score would likely spread throughout the entire Duchy; it would be unprecedented!

Harboring such complex emotions, Jackson and the others quietly awaited the development of the situation...

In the academy office, when Mody and others from the Provincial Department of Education shamelessly declared that scores obtained by borrowing someone else's path were invalid.

Li Size laughed. He looked with disdain at these so-called leaders from the Provincial Department of Education who were twisting facts and disregarding reality.

He sneered:

"Is this the Department of Education that manages the education of the entire province?"

"It turns out you are just a group of despicable, shameless, and vile petty people. Disgusting!?"

"Besides framing and slandering, do you people have no more sophisticated methods?"

"Why is it that when a student like me, without any background, achieves first place, it becomes an issue for you, or what is the matter?"

He noticed the teachers and students gathered far outside the door, seemingly passing by but actually eavesdropping on the progress of the situation, and deliberately raised his voice to question:

"Is it because you have already pre-determined the first place?"

"So now you must find some excuse to frame me, the first-place scorer with a perfect score, and cancel my score!"

"Just to take back the originally planned rewards and give them to someone else?"

In reality, Li Size had basically guessed the truth: did this group of bureaucrats really care so much about whether he cheated?

Perhaps they did?

But the conduct of this so-called Vice Dean Mody since arriving at the academy showed that they were determined to negate Li Size's score.

Whether by framing him for cheating or declaring his score invalid.

However, how could a score he earned honorably be smeared by them without reason!?

Absolutely not!

Li Size thought for a moment and loudly declared again:

"But I want to tell you all, I, Li Size, did not cheat!"

"I relied on my own talent and effort, and I will never accept your slander!"

"If you dare to frame me, even if I have to take this to the Ministry of Education in the capital, I will not compromise!"

"Never!"

The surrounding crowd did not know the truth of the matter.

But Li Size spoke with burning conviction and made solemn vows. Moreover, most of the onlookers were students.

For a student to question officials from the Provincial Department of Education so arrogantly was something that brought them immense pride.

"Never compromise!"

"Conspiracy!"

"Report to the capital, report to the Ministry of Education!"

...

Regardless of the truth, under the incitement of more and more students, the atmosphere underwent a stunning reversal.

More and more people began to shout, driven by those around them.

Mody heard the faint shouts from outside and felt immense pressure; his face grew paler and paler.

He sternly shouted and questioned:

"You, a low-level student who is only an Elementary Wizard Apprentice, how could you possibly defeat an elite black demonic iron Puppet with the strength of a Mid-level Apprentice!?"

"I reviewed your Sorcery Recording for the practical combat subject. The sorcery items you used were absolutely top-grade Zero Ring Mid-level sorcery items!"

"How could you, a small apprentice who only became an Elementary Wizard Apprentice a month ago, possess such a precious Zero Ring Mid-level sorcery item!?"

The surrounding students gasped in shock...

Many classmates who didn't know Li Size realized for the first time that this student, whose name they had never heard before, was actually an Elementary Wizard Apprentice.

In this low-level academy in their remote Gray Mist Mountain Town!

Elementary Apprentice!

Zero Ring Mid-level sorcery item!

Defeated a Mid-level Apprentice-grade elite Puppet!

Mody's words conveyed too much information, each piece causing the students to hold their breath, as if listening to a mythical story, as if in a dream.

If this had happened in a low-level academy in a big city, where the children of the powerful had endless resources, what Mody said would have seemed commonplace.

But this incident occurring at the low-level academy in Gray Mist Mountain Town...

The students' first reaction was:

So our academy actually has such an awesome student!

Seeing the noise gradually die down, Mody thought his evidence had made everyone recognize reality.

However, Li Size laughed twice, drawing everyone's attention back:

"What a joke!"

"It's just a Zero Ring Mid-level sorcery item; why couldn't it be mine!?"

Mody heard this as if he had heard the greatest joke in the world:

"Do you think I haven't investigated you?"

"Two months ago, your family was just a broken blacksmith shop. You only managed to accumulate some wealth through luck and maneuvering, barely becoming an Elementary Wizard Apprentice!"

"How could you possibly possess a Zero Ring Mid-level sorcery item!?"

Li Size glanced sideways at him, shook his head silently, and said:

"Some people are truly ignorant!"

"I will let you all see whether this sorcery item is mine or not!?"

"Dean, please prepare some minerals and Materials for me. I want to forge this sorcery item one more time in front of everyone!"

"I want to prove this item is mine, and I did not cheat!"

Mody's eyes widened as he looked at Li Size. He couldn't believe that this Zero Ring Mid-level sorcery item was actually forged by Li Size himself, who was merely an Elementary Apprentice.

He muttered dazedly:

"Impossible... Is this world going crazy?"

The Dean, who had been silent all along, watched the situation develop to this point, remaining in a state of bewilderment.

Now he knew that while he couldn't stop the investigation by the Department of Education's inspection team, he should give Student Li Size a chance.

It was also a chance for the Gray Mist Mountain Town Academy he led.

In the academy's Laboratory, instructors and students had already prepared the Materials Li Size needed as requested by the Dean.

Then, under everyone's gaze, Li Size would replicate the forging of the revolver "winds kiss" and the crafting of the five types of sorcery bullets once more.

The academy's Laboratory was surrounded three layers deep, and everyone looked at Li Size as if he were a monster...
