60: Tang Tang's generous and forthright moments!

"Wuu wuu wuu X﹏X! Oh my god! It wasn't to report to the Grandmaster after all. This is basically social suicide on a national scale!"

Tang Tang's face turned pale as paper in an instant, as if all her vitality had been drained, and she collapsed to the ground, lifeless.

Her eyes were hollow and vacant, as if she had lost her soul.

Standing to the side, Master Chan Ming of Yunlan Nunnery delivered the fatal blow: "It's not just the whole Xia Kingdom; nowadays, no matter which country or continent, everyone is extremely concerned about matters concerning the Underworld!"

"I'm afraid this humiliation has already reached the 'Pacific Ocean'!" These words were like a sharp sword, piercing straight through Tang Tang's already riddled heart.

"Wuu wuu wuu (┯_┯)!" Tang Tang covered her neck, which was as red as a monkey's backside, and curled her toes.

"Alright, alright, now that you've embarrassed yourself, come back with me!"

"It's normal to have a few embarrassing moments when you're young."

"This matter is just a tiny bit big, that's all." Chen Chen's words of comfort were truly useless.

Tang Tang sniffled gently, "Uncle Chen, I can't go back with you. I promised them I would wait here for the ghost messengers to handle the follow-up matters."

But Chen Chen said dismissively, "Silly girl, what follow-up matters are there? That was all a lie to trick you!"

"The ones truly responsible for handling the aftermath of this tunnel incident are the Special Affairs Bureau and the Buddhist Nuns from Yunlan Nunnery."

Hearing this, Tang Tang could no longer hold it in; her heart felt like a dam breaking. She tugged hard on her own cheeks, muttering, "This humble Taoist needs some quiet, Uncle Chen!"

"Da da da da..." A rapid and rhythmic sound of footsteps approached.

Everyone turned their heads, and where their gazes focused, they saw the Head of Changchun Temple, Can Xuanzi, holding a feather duster and striding over.

When he saw Tang Tang slumped on the ground, a flash of helplessness crossed his dark eyes.

"Disciple! Are you going to get up yourself, or do you want your master to help you up?" Can Xuanzi scolded loudly while waving the feather duster in his hand.

His voice was as loud as a great bell, vibrating the surrounding air.

Tang Tang quickly did a somersault and nimbly stood up from the ground. She brushed the dust off her body.

"Master, why did you arrive so quickly! This disciple thought I would have to wait a while longer."

Can Xuanzi glared at her and replied crossly, "Hmph! You have the nerve to ask? If I hadn't used hundreds of Speed Talismans, how could I have arrived here so quickly?" As he spoke, flames seemed to be shooting from his eyes.

Seeing this, Tang Tang inwardly lamented, but on the surface, she pretended to be calm and said, "Master, you really spent a fortune just to discipline me. Those hundreds of Speed Talismans are quite valuable!"

She moved her feet slowly as she spoke, trying to keep a certain distance from her master.

How could Can Xuanzi not see through her little tricks? He immediately snorted coldly, "No matter, as long as I can give you a good beating, even if I had to use thousands of Speed Talismans, this Taoist would not feel a hint of heartache!"

Hearing this, Tang Tang begged timidly, "Master, can you go a bit easier? After all, this disciple is a girl!"

Can Xuanzi retorted mercilessly, "So what if you're a girl? With Master, there is always gender equality! Since you dared to violate the temple rules, you must bear the consequences!" Finished speaking, he raised the feather duster, making a move to strike Tang Tang.

Tang Tang was scared and quickly took a few steps back, muttering in protest, "But girls can also be bold and free-spirited, why do you have to be so rigid?"

"Bold? Is this what you call bold? To actually use it in such a shameful place! It's simply outrageous!" Can Xuanzi was furious, so angry that his beard blew and his eyes widened.

Seeing that the situation was bad, Tang Tang knew she was in trouble. She immediately turned around and ran, shouting continuously, "Master, spare me! This disciple has deeply realized her mistake and guarantees she will never make the same mistake again!"

"Hmph! You still hope for a next time? Not a chance! I must teach you a lesson today!" Can Xuanzi roared and strode in hot pursuit.

Tang Tang ran desperately, but before she had gone far, she felt her back collar tighten suddenly, and her whole body instantly lifted into the air.

As it turned out, Can Xuanzi had easily grabbed her back like a hawk catching a chick and held her high in the air.

"Only realizing your mistake now? Too late! See if I don't give you a good thrashing today!" Can Xuanzi said through gritted teeth, raising the feather duster in his hand, about to strike Tang Tang's backside.

"Master! Go a bit lighter than when I was little!"

Tang Tang panicked and quickly closed her eyes, shrinking her neck into a ball, her body trembling involuntarily, waiting obediently to be beaten.

At the critical moment, there was a sudden, sharp sound of something piercing the air— "Swish!"

Immediately after, a black shadow streaked past, snatching the feather duster from Can Xuanzi's hand in the blink of an eye.

Tang Tang opened her eyes tremblingly and was both surprised and happy.

It turned out to be a pitch-black, sleek-furred mysterious cat that appeared before her eyes.

"Uncle Master Xuansu! Why are you here?" Tang Tang was so excited she almost jumped up, shouting loudly.

Xuansu leaped lightly and landed steadily on Tang Tang's shoulder, letting out a few soft, sweet "meows" at Can Xuanzi, seemingly pleading for Tang Tang.

Seeing this, Can Xuanzi lowered the hand holding the feather duster and said crossly, "Hmph! This time, for Xuansu's sake, I'll spare you, you crazy girl. Hurry up and thank Junior Brother Xuansu!"

"Thank you, Uncle Master, you are so good... I'll give you extra food when we get back to the temple..."

Tang Tang was full of joy, and after thanking her repeatedly, she hugged Xuansu tightly and kissed her furry cheek hard twice.

Xuansu was caught off guard by this sudden enthusiasm and frantically swatted with her cat paws, trying to fend off Tang Tang's approaching lips.

She kept making "meow meow meow..." sounds, seemingly expressing her dissatisfaction.

Tang Tang didn't care and took advantage of this good opportunity to reach out and rub Xuansu's soft belly. "Hehe... so soft."

Xuansu immediately stood up, her fur bristling like a cat whose tail had been stepped on.

She widened her heterochromatic eyes, staring angrily at Tang Tang, as if ready to unleash the legendary "Nine Yin Skeleton Claw" to teach this ignorant little girl a lesson.
